The battery charges from the machine's own power adapter, so there is no second charger to pack. At home, keep it connected between the adapter and the Micro 510 as backup, and therapy keeps running if the power cuts out. The SleepPak travel bag keeps the Micro 510, the battery and your accessories organized in one bag, and the hard shell case protects the machine on its own. Choose Midnight Blue, Petal Pink, Graphite Gray or Birch White. Bring your own mask: the 510 hose takes masks with the standard 22 mm connection. A prescription is required.

Important Tips

  • Charge the PowerAway fully before first use without connecting it to the Micro 510: plug only the AC adapter into the battery (up to four hours). It is full when all four fuel gauge LEDs turn green.
  • Set up the backup chain once at your bedside: wall outlet to AC adapter, adapter to the PowerAway, PowerAway to the Micro 510. The battery tops up during therapy and takes over in an outage. Our CPAP hurricane preparedness plan covers the rest of your outage kit.
  • Treat 17.5 hours as a ceiling, not a promise. That is the PowerAway runtime per charge in most cases; higher pressure, a leaky mask seal, exhalation relief and the AirMist HME all shorten it. Test a full night at home before an off-grid trip.
  • Swap the AirMist cartridge every 3 to 7 days of use. Cartridges are single-use and never washed; refills are AirMist HME replacement cartridges, sold separately.
  • Check the Micro 510 filter weekly and replace it every two weeks. Refills are sold separately: Micro 510 hypoallergenic filters or Micro 510 woven filters; PureFresh filters from the original Micro do not fit.
  • Wash the hose, muffler and HME adapter weekly in 5% mild dish detergent in distilled water, and replace them every three months. After the pack spares, the Micro 510 WhisperSoft muffler kit (sold separately) brings a new muffler and TransFlex hose.
  • Keep the battery away from heat above 104°F, such as long direct sunlight or a car parked in the sun, and never charge it on a highly flammable surface.
  • Fully charge it at least every six months, even in storage. Skipping it can shorten runtime for good and counts as neglect under the battery's 1-year warranty.
  • Press the fuel button before you leave. The four LEDs show how much charge is left, so you know whether to top up before a flight or a night at camp. Our camping with a CPAP guide covers campsite setup.
  • Fly with the FAA letter and your airline's rules in hand. Some airlines ask for notice more than 48 hours ahead and battery capacity for up to 150% of the flight time. Download the letter from Guides and Resources and read flying with a CPAP machine.
  • Abroad, you only need the plug shape. The AC adapter accepts 100 to 240 V; use the plug adapters from the Essentials Pack for the outlet.
  • Optional, sold separately: the Transcend Sun-Watt solar charger recharges a fully drained PowerAway in less than four hours of ideal sunlight.
  • Have your prescription ready. The Micro 510 needs one. Warranty: 3 years on the machine, 1 year on the PowerAway battery, 90 days on the hose, muffler, HME, case and filters.

What is the difference between this bundle and the Micro 510 Essential Bundle?

The box contents differ only by the PowerAway battery. Both include the Micro 510, the 510 Essentials Pack, the SleepPak travel bag and the hard shell case. This Power Bundle adds the battery for cordless nights and outage backup. Both bundles offer the same four machine colors.

How is this different from the original Transcend Micro Power Bundle?

Same battery and SleepPak; the machine and its pack differ. Here you get the Micro 510 with a 3-year warranty (the original has 2), four colors, a hard shell case and an AirMist HME in the machine box, and a 510 pack with an extra 4 ft hose and 510 filters. The original Power Bundle costs less.

Can I start with the Essential Bundle and add the PowerAway later?

Yes. The PowerAway fits the Micro 510 and charges from the power adapter that comes with the machine, so you can buy the battery on its own whenever you want cordless nights. This Power Bundle simply puts it in the same order.

How many nights will one charge cover on a trip?

Up to two nights, or up to 17.5 hours, per charge in most cases. With the Micro 510, the total drops with higher pressure, a leaky mask seal, exhalation relief and humidification, including the AirMist HME. Check the fuel gauge each morning to see what is left for the next night.

Can I use the battery and charge it at the same time?

After the very first charge, yes. That first time, charge the PowerAway on its own with the AC adapter and keep it off the Micro 510. From then on it can stay connected between the adapter and the machine and top up while you sleep.

Can I take the battery on a plane and use it in flight?

Yes. The 2026 Transcend FAA letter lists the Micro 510 by model number and includes its PowerAway battery cell, and you can download it from Guides and Resources on this page. Carry the battery in your cabin bag and check your airline's rules before the trip, since some want notice more than 48 hours ahead.

Why does the kit have three hoses?

One TransFlex 6 ft hose and one WhisperSoft muffler come in the Micro 510 box, and the Essentials Pack adds a second hose and muffler plus a shorter AirFlex 4 ft hose. The spares cover a second round of use, since the hose and muffler are replaced every three months.

Does the SleepPak hold the PowerAway too?

Yes. The SleepPak travel bag is made to keep a Transcend CPAP, its battery and its accessories organized in one bag. The hard shell case holds the machine on its own.
