CPAP Hoses & Tubing

CPAP tubing, also called a CPAP hose, is the tube that carries pressurized air from your machine to your mask. We stock standard, heated, slim, and travel tubing across ResMed, Philips Respironics, Fisher & Paykel, React Health, Breas, and more. The right one comes down to a few things: the type you want, the diameter (standard 22mm or slim 15mm), the length, and, for heated tubes, your exact machine.

Match the tube to how you sleep and travel:

• Standard tubing is the universal 22mm hose that fits most machines. See the Snugell 6-foot tubing, the Sunset 6-foot tubing, or an 8-foot hose for extra reach.
• Heated tubing warms the air along the hose to cut condensation, and it is matched to your machine (more on that below). See the ClimateLineAir 11 for AirSense 11, or the ClimateLineAir for AirSense 10.
• Slim tubing is a lighter 15mm hose that tugs less on your mask. See the ResMed SlimLine or the Snugell universal slim tube.
• Travel and short tubing is machine-specific for compact CPAPs, like the AirMini tubing, the Breas Z1 and Z2 tube, and the Transcend AirFlex.

Heated and travel tubes are model-specific, so match yours:

• ResMed AirSense 10 / AirCurve 10: the ClimateLineAir, or the ClimateLineAir Oxy with an oxygen port.
• ResMed AirSense 11 / AirCurve 11: the ClimateLineAir 11, which is not the same tube as the 10.
• Philips DreamStation: the DreamStation heated tube.
• React Health Luna G3: the Luna G3 heated tube.
• Fisher & Paykel: the SleepStyle ThermoSmart tube; the ICON uses its own ThermoSmart tube.
• Travel machines: the AirMini, Breas Z1 and Z2, and Transcend each use their own tube.

How to choose the right tube

• Diameter: standard tubing is 22mm and fits most machines; slim tubing is 15mm, lighter, and more flexible.
• Length: 6 feet is the standard most people use; an 8-foot hose adds reach if your machine sits farther away.
• Heated or standard: heated tubing reduces the condensation (rainout) that pools in a standard hose on cold nights, but it only works with a machine that supports a heated tube.
• Compatibility: heated and travel tubes are model-specific and are not interchangeable, so match them to your exact machine. Standard 22mm tubing is the universal option for most masks and machines, and connectors and adapters bridge the rest.

When to replace your tubing

Plan to replace your CPAP tubing about every three months, and sooner if you notice cracks, discoloration, or an odor that cleaning does not remove. Between swaps, wash it in warm water with mild soap and let it air-dry fully.

Rainout and hose management

If water builds up in your hose on cold nights, that is rainout. Heated tubing is one fix, and a fleece CPAP hose cover is a non-heated way to insulate a standard tube. To keep the hose out of the way, a hose lift or hose holder holds it overhead.
