Product Features

Waterless Humidification

The AirMist HME (Heat Moisture Exchanger) cartridges provide waterless humidification by capturing moisture from exhaled air and reintroducing it into your therapy airflow.

Compatibility with Transcend Micro CPAP System

These HME cartridges are specifically designed for the Transcend Micro CPAP machine. They work exclusively with the Transcend HME Adapter and are compatible with the Micro Standard 6 ft Hose or Micro AirFlex 6 ft Hose. They are not compatible with masks featuring short tubing or top-of-head hose connections.

Easy Replacement Process

Swapping out a used cartridge is simple. Just open the adapter, remove the old cartridge, insert the new one, and close it up.

Advanced Sensor Harness

Equipped with a 3.5-foot sensor harness, the system actively manages water flow to prevent overfilling or running dry.

Eco-Friendly

The automatic refilling system minimizes water wastage compared to manual refilling methods. By supplying only the necessary amount of water, it contributes to more efficient water use during therapy.

Safe Materials

The device is constructed using BPA-free and medical-grade materials, meeting safety standards for prolonged use in medical applications. It’s designed for durability, capable of withstanding daily use.

Wide Compatibility

The refilling system is designed to integrate with various CPAP and BiPAP humidifier chambers, including the AirSense and AirCurve 11, AirSense and AirCurve 10, and DreamStation 2.

Quick and Simple Installation

Installation involves replacing the existing humidifier lid with the CSpring MK3 adapter, connecting the sensor harness and water hose.

Important Tips

  • Replace each AirMist HME cartridge every 3 to 7 days to maintain consistent humidification and therapy comfort.
  • Use only with masks compatible with direct connections; avoid masks with short tubing or top-of-head hose connections.
  • Ensure the cartridge is properly seated in the adapter to avoid leaks or reduced humidification.
  • Check for moisture buildup or unusual airflow resistance as signs that a cartridge needs replacement.
  • Dispose of used cartridges responsibly as they are single-use and not designed for cleaning or reuse.
  • For extended trips, stock up on multi-packs of cartridges to ensure you have enough replacements for continuous therapy.
  • Avoid exposing the cartridges to extreme temperatures or humidity levels before use, as this can affect their performance.
  • Pair the cartridges with the correct Transcend Micro CPAP setup to ensure optimal functionality and humidification.
  • Monitor therapy comfort; if dryness persists, consider replacing the cartridge more frequently based on your environment and therapy needs.
  • Keep an extra HME adapter handy to ensure uninterrupted therapy in case of damage or wear.
  • Inspect the adapter connection regularly for signs of wear or improper sealing, as this can impact the cartridge's efficiency.

FAQs

I'm not sure if I have sleep apnea

Not sure if you have sleep apnea?

Take this simple test to know your risk level.

Find Out Now!

Why do CPAP machines have humidifiers?

CPAP humidifiers add moisture to prevent dry mouth, throat irritation, and nasal congestion caused by pressurized air.

Are all CPAP humidifiers the same?

No, there are two types: - Integrated humidifiers (built into the CPAP machine) - Standalone humidifiers (separate units that connect to the CPAP)

Do I have to use a CPAP humidifier?

No, but it helps reduce dryness and discomfort. If you experience dryness, adding a humidifier can improve comfort.

What type of water should I use in my CPAP humidifier?

Use distilled water to prevent mineral buildup and bacteria growth. Avoid tap or bottled water.

How often should I clean my CPAP humidifier?

Daily: Empty and rinse with warm water. Weekly: Wash with mild soap, rinse well, and let it air dry.

Why is there water in my CPAP mask or hose?

This is rainout, caused by humidified air cooling in the hose. Using heated tubing or a hose cover can help.

Can I travel with a CPAP humidifier?

Yes, but some travelers prefer to turn off the humidifier to reduce bulk. If flying, empty the water chamber before packing.

When should I replace my CPAP humidifier chamber?

Every 6 months, or sooner if you notice discoloration, cracking, or buildup that doesn’t clean off.
