The Transcend Micro 510 weighs 0.48 lbs and measures 3.6 x 3.6 x 2.4 inches. Pressure range runs 4 to 20 cmH₂O in both CPAP and Auto-CPAP modes. The machine includes ramp mode, exhalation relief, auto start and stop, auto altitude adjustment up to 8,000 ft, and compliance and advanced therapy data recording.

In Auto-CPAP mode, the machine adjusts delivery pressure continuously based on breathing patterns throughout the night. This suits sleep apnea patients whose pressure requirements shift between sleep stages. Fixed CPAP mode is also available if your prescription specifies a single set pressure.

The Solo uses two integrated systems. AutoFit stretches to conform to facial shape during initial wear, reducing setup complexity. AutoLock maintains the seal during sleep by responding dynamically to movement and pressure changes. Both work together without requiring manual readjustment throughout the night, making this mask relevant for active sleepers with sleep apnea.

The Solo uses an under-the-nose nasal cushion made from silicone, placed below the nostrils rather than inside them like nasal pillows. Four sizes are available: small, medium, large, and wide. A fit pack with small, medium, and large is also available. The latex-free silicone cushion is the only component that typically requires periodic replacement.

The Solo features a single-point adjustment located under the nose that allows quick fit changes without removing the mask or adjusting the headgear. This simplifies both initial setup and mid-night adjustments. In a 93-participant internal trial, 93% of users rated the fitting experience as simple or very simple.

The Solo headgear is designed to fit a wide range of head sizes without requiring size selection. It accommodates all four cushion sizes. The headgear stays in place during sleep and is designed to minimize facial pressure and contact area, which reduces red marks commonly associated with larger frame masks during CPAP therapy.

The Solo is a nasal-only interface that requires consistent nasal breathing to maintain the seal. Sleep apnea patients who breathe through the mouth during sleep will need a chin strap or a full face mask. The mask is magnet-free, making it suitable for patients with implanted devices sensitive to magnetic fields.

The Solo nasal mask is compatible with major CPAP platforms including ResMed AirSense 11, AirSense 10, S9, S8 AutoSet and Elite; Philips DreamStation 2, DreamStation 1, RemStar, and M Series; and Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle Auto and ICON+. It is not compatible with the ResMed AirMini. All connections use standard 22mm fittings.

The AirMist HME attaches between the hose and mask, capturing moisture from exhaled breath and returning it on the next inhale. No distilled water or water chamber needed. Each cartridge lasts 5 to 7 nights. Compatible with most 22mm masks, excluding those with top-of-head connections or long integrated short tubes.

The Transcend Micro 510 operates at 27 dBA under typical use conditions. The included WhisperSoft Muffler reduces exhaust noise further at the air outlet. The Solo mask also operates quietly, reducing air draft disturbance during sleep apnea therapy for both the user and bed partner.

The AC adapter supports universal voltage input (100–240 VAC), suitable for international travel. The machine has no built-in battery. The Transcend Micro PowerAway Battery is available separately and delivers up to 17.5 hours of therapy per charge, covering flights, camping, or situations without reliable AC power access.

The Transcend Micro 510 meets FAA requirements and is approved for use during flights. A compliance letter is available for download at mytranscend.com. Individual airline policies vary, so confirming with your carrier before travel is recommended. The machine weighs under 0.5 lbs and measures less than 4 inches wide for carry-on packing.

The machine connects via Bluetooth to the MySleepDash app on iOS and Android. The app tracks nightly therapy hours, leak summaries, and pressure data. Reports can be shared with your physician for sleep apnea treatment documentation and compliance requirements. Ramp and AirRelief settings can also be adjusted directly through the app.

GentleRise starts therapy at a lower pressure than your prescribed setting and gradually increases to full therapeutic pressure. Ramp duration is adjustable up to 45 minutes through the MySleepDash app. Sleep apnea patients new to CPAP therapy often use this during the initial weeks when breathing against continuous airflow is still uncomfortable.

AirRelief reduces delivery pressure slightly on each exhale, lowering resistance during exhalation. Four settings are available: OFF, 1, 2, and 3. Sleep apnea patients who find it difficult to exhale against continuous positive airway pressure typically benefit from settings 2 or 3. Settings are adjustable through the MySleepDash app.

The Transcend Micro 510 carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty from date of purchase. Accessories including hoses, mufflers, HME adapters, cases, and filters are covered for 90 days. The Solo mask and its replacement components follow Fisher & Paykel's own warranty terms. Using non-Transcend parts on the machine voids the Transcend warranty.
