The Eson 2 covers only the nose and requires consistent nasal breathing throughout the night to maintain the seal. Sleep apnea patients who breathe through the mouth during sleep will need a full face mask or a chin strap. The mask is compatible with CPAP, APAP, and BiLevel PAP devices with standard 22mm connections.

The RollFit nasal cushion rolls back and forth on the nasal bridge to automatically maintain contact as head position changes during sleep. This reduces pressure buildup at the nasal bridge and lowers the likelihood of leaks caused by movement, without requiring the headgear to be tightened excessively to compensate.

The Eson 2 headgear combines stretch and non-stretch fabric panels. Stretch zones allow side-to-side and vertical head movement, while non-stretch sections maintain mask position. The diffuser reduces audible airflow noise and redirects exhaled air away from the bed partner during sleep apnea therapy. Unlike single-use components, the Eson 2 diffuser is washable and designed for repeated use. It is available as a separate replacement part (400ESN261) when it needs to be replaced.

Blue markers on key components identify correct orientation for assembly, disassembly, and reassembly after cleaning. The Eson 2 seal, headgear, clips, elbow, diffuser, and swivel are all available individually. The seal is the component that typically needs the most frequent replacement. The frame fits all three seal sizes, so the ongoing replacement cost covers only the seal under normal use conditions.

In Auto-CPAP mode, the Transcend Micro 510 continuously adjusts delivery pressure based on real-time breathing data throughout the night. For nasal mask users, pressure requirements can shift depending on sleep position and nasal airflow resistance. The AirMist HME attaches between the hose and the Eson 2 elbow, returning exhaled moisture on each inhale without requiring a water chamber or distilled water. Each cartridge lasts 5 to 7 nights. Nasal mask users are particularly prone to nasal dryness during CPAP therapy, making the HME a relevant addition for comfort.

The Transcend Micro 510 operates at 27 dBA under typical use conditions. The WhisperSoft Muffler reduces machine exhaust noise at the air outlet. The Eson 2 washable diffuser handles exhaled air noise at the mask side. Both components address noise from separate points in the breathing circuit.

AirRelief reduces delivery pressure slightly on each exhale, lowering resistance during exhalation. Four settings are available: OFF, 1, 2, and 3. For nasal mask users new to sleep apnea therapy, where exhaling against continuous airflow through the nose can feel uncomfortable initially, settings 2 or 3 are typically recommended during the adjustment period.

GentleRise starts therapy at a pressure lower than the prescribed setting and gradually increases to full therapeutic pressure over up to 45 minutes. For new CPAP users starting with a nasal mask, this reduces the initial sensation of high airflow pressure while falling asleep, which is a common reason patients discontinue therapy in the first weeks.

The machine connects via Bluetooth to the MySleepDash app on iOS and Android. Nightly therapy hours, pressure data, and leak summaries are tracked and can be shared with a physician.
