Important Tips

  • Chose the Fit Pack? Start on the Medium seal. It comes fitted to the mask. Sleep on it a night or two; leaks or sore spots are your cue to try the Small or the Large.
  • Tighten gently and reseat, don't crank. Snug the forehead straps first, then the lower straps, stopping short of tight. A leak usually means the seal needs lifting away and placing again, not more strap tension.
  • Assemble the air path from the machine out. The muffler goes on the Micro 510 outlet and the hose onto it. Next comes the AirMist HME, lower half on the hose and upper half on the Eson 2. Hold the cartridge by its plastic shell.
  • Plan 3 to 7 days per AirMist cartridge. It goes in the trash, never the sink, so count your nights and pack enough AirMist HME cartridges for the trip.
  • Inspect the air filter every week; a new one goes in at two weeks. This model skips the PureFresh filter used by the original Micro, so stock up on Micro 510 hypoallergenic filters or Micro 510 woven filters.
  • Wash the hose, muffler and HME adapter weekly. Replace all three at three months. A fresh Micro 510 WhisperSoft muffler kit covers the hose and muffler; for several parts in one order, see the Micro 510 resupply pack and the Micro 510 Essentials Pack.
  • Hand-wash the Eson 2 after every use. Mild soap, lukewarm water, then air-dry out of the sun; the headgear and diffuser get washed after 7 days of use. No bleach, alcohol or dishwasher. Spare Eson 2 headgear is sold separately.
  • Dry the air path before packing. When you wake, a tap on the dry cycle button spins the blower gently for half an hour and then puts the machine back on standby.
  • In flight, Bluetooth goes off first. Press the Bluetooth button; a white indicator means the radio is off, and only then should you press power to begin.
  • Traveling overseas? Leave the voltage converter at home. The power supply handles 100 to 240 V on its own. Transcend lists the Transcend Micro travel adapters for the PSA5 power supply; your box holds a PSA4 or a PSA5, so check which one you have first.
  • Sold separately, not in this bundle: the Transcend SleepPak travel bag and the Transcend Micro travel pouch.

The Transcend Micro 510 is a travel-size CPAP machine that weighs 0.48 lb and measures 3.6 in x 3.6 in x 2.4 in. It fits easily in a bag without taking up much space while still supporting a full pressure range. Available colors include Midnight Blue, Petal Pink, Graphite Gray, and Birch White.

CPAP and Auto-CPAP Modes
The Micro 510 runs in CPAP mode or Auto-CPAP mode. CPAP delivers one fixed pressure, while Auto-CPAP adjusts within a set range as you breathe. Default settings are 4 to 20 cm H2O, meaning centimeters of water pressure. Ramp mode can begin lower and increase gradually for a smoother start.

Standard 22 mm Mask Compatibility
The Micro 510 uses a standard 22 mm mask connection, which is the most common hose connection in CPAP setups. If your current mask already uses a 22 mm connector, you can usually keep it. No brand-specific adapter is needed, only a compatible mask and hose configuration for your setup.

Micro 510 or original Micro with the Eson 2: which bundle should I pick?

It comes down to the extras. Both bundles use the same Eson 2 and a Micro with the same size, pressure range and sound level. The Micro 510 side gives you three years of machine warranty against two, a choice of four colors, the Fit Pack mask option, and Transcend's travel case and AirMist HME in the carton. If you can live without those, the original Micro bundle costs less. Either way, the Eson 2 carries F&P's 90-day mask warranty.

What paperwork do you need from me before this bundle ships?

A valid CPAP prescription. The Micro 510 and the Eson 2 are prescription devices, so we confirm yours before shipping. Your provider sets your therapy pressure; comfort settings such as ramp and exhalation relief can be adjusted in the MySleepDash app.

What do I get if I choose the Eson 2 Fit Pack?

One Eson 2 nasal mask wearing the Medium seal, plus a Small seal and a Large seal, a quick reference card and the Use and Care Guide. Sleep on Medium first, and change seals if it leaks or rubs. If you already know your size, pick Small, Medium or Large.

I sometimes wake up with a dry mouth. Should I choose a full face Micro 510 bundle instead?

Possibly. The Eson 2 covers only your nose, so it is designed for people who breathe through the nose while asleep. If you often breathe through your mouth, talk with your sleep provider about a full face mask. Our full face options for the Micro 510 include the F&P Evora Full and the F&P Simplus.

Can I bring the Micro 510, the Eson 2 and the hard shell case on board together?

Yes, pack them as one carry-on kit. Airlines differ: on some, a medical device sits outside your bag allowance, and others want to hear from you before the flight, so ask yours. Keep the Transcend FAA letter handy as well, because it shows the Micro 510 meets FAA rules for in-flight therapy.
