Overview

We built the Solo Nasal for people who breathe through their nose and want a mask that gets out of the way. Instead of a bulky frame, a soft cushion sits under your nose, so you keep your sightline clear for reading or watching TV before you fall asleep.

Fitting it is simple. You stretch the mask over your head, press the cushion into place under your nose, and AutoLock takes over from there, holding the seal through the night without side straps to tighten or loosen. When you wake up, one pull releases the headgear.

This is a nose-only nasal mask, so it works best if you naturally breathe through your nose during sleep. If you tend to breathe through your mouth, our F&P Solo Pillows CPAP Mask AutoFit uses the same AutoFit headgear with a different cushion style.

There are no magnets anywhere on this mask, which matters if you have a pacemaker, insulin pump, or other medical implant. It connects to CPAP, APAP, and BiLevel machines using standard tubing. A prescription is required to order.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Stretch the headgear over your head and press the cushion into place under your nose. AutoLock takes over from there, so you should not need to pull side straps to seal it.
  • Use a single pull to release the headgear when you take the mask off.
  • Fine-tune the fit with the split-tail strap at the back of your head: pull the tails farther apart for a tighter seal, or keep them closer together for a looser fit.
  • Use the F&P myMask app for step-by-step fitting, troubleshooting, and cleaning guidance during your first week.
  • Wipe the cushion and frame daily with warm, soapy water or CPAP wipes, and do a full breakdown clean weekly.
  • Check the cushion and headgear regularly for wear, and replace them as needed to keep the seal tight.
  • If the tube, frame, or swivel assembly cracks or wears out, it is sold separately as a tube, frame, and swivel replacement.
  • If you prefer cushions that sit directly in the nostrils, the F&P Solo Pillows Mask AutoFit uses the same AutoFit headgear.
  • Not sure a nose-only nasal mask is the right style for you? Compare it against pillow and full-face options in our nasal mask collection or our guide to CPAP mask types.
  • Do not over-tighten the headgear. AutoLock is designed to hold a secure seal on its own, and extra pressure just adds discomfort.
  • Do not use the mask unsupervised if you are not able to remove it on your own.

What’s Included

While this product includes the essential mask and headgear components, you'll still need to purchase a CPAP machine and hose to complete your therapy setup

Everything you need to know about the Solo Nasal

Freedom to Read and Watch TV Before Bed

The Solo Nasal cushion sits under your nose instead of covering it, using Dynamic Support Technology to stay in place while moving freely with your face. This keeps your sightline open for reading or watching TV and reduces the facial contact that causes pressure marks overnight.

No Side Straps to Fuss With

AutoFit and AutoLock headgear skips conventional side straps. Stretch the mask over your head, press the cushion under your nose to seal, and the carbon-reinforced AutoLock frame holds it in place. A single pull releases the headgear when you are done.

One Headgear, Two Cushion Styles

The one-size headgear fits about 95 percent of people and swaps between the Solo Nasal cushion and F&P Solo Pillows cushions, so you can change your seal style without buying new headgear. Nasal cushions come in Small, Medium, Large, and Wide.

Works Quietly for You and Your Partner

The Solo Nasal directs airflow away from your bed partner, so nighttime trips to the bathroom or shifting positions do not send a rush of noise their way. Combined with the open sightline, it is one of the easier masks to sleep next to.

Built for Side Sleepers

Its low profile and minimal parts keep the mask out of the way when you turn onto your side, without a bulky frame pressing into the pillow. If you switch positions through the night, there is less mask to get caught or knocked loose.

Works With Your Existing CPAP Setup

The Solo Nasal connects to CPAP, APAP, and BiLevel machines with standard tubing, so it fits into the setup you already have. It may not pair well with the ResMed AirMini or other compact travel machines, and SmartStart or Auto-On features can be unreliable with this mask on some devices.

Magnet-Free for Peace of Mind

There are no magnetic clips anywhere on the Solo Nasal, so it is safe to use if you have a pacemaker, insulin pump, or other medical implant that magnets could interfere with. The headgear and cushion connect with standard mechanical fasteners instead.

Everything You Need Comes Assembled

The box includes the AutoFit headgear, your nasal cushion, and the frame with tube and swivel already put together. Open it, stretch it over your head, and you are ready for your first fit.

Adjustable Fit at the Back of Your Head

A split-tail strap at the back of the head lets you fine-tune the fit after AutoLock engages. Pull the tails farther apart for a tighter, more stable seal, or keep them closer together for a looser feel.

Fit Pack Covers Most Sizing Needs

The Fit Pack includes Small, Medium, and Large nasal cushions in one box, so you can try sizes and keep the one that seals best. The Wide cushion is sized separately for a broader fit.

Guided Setup With the F&P myMask App

The free F&P myMask app walks you through fitting, fine-tuning, and cleaning your Solo Nasal with step-by-step instructions and video. It is a helpful reference during your first week of therapy or anytime you want to double-check your fit.

Latex-Free Silicone Cushion

The nasal cushion is made from latex-free silicone, which cuts down on skin irritation for people with sensitivities. It contacts only the area under your nose rather than wrapping around it.

FAQs

Do I need a prescription for the F&P Solo Nasal Mask?

Yes. CPAP masks are prescription-gated in the US, and the Solo Nasal is no exception. Have your prescription ready at checkout or work with our team to get one on file.

Is the Solo Nasal Mask compatible with my CPAP machine?

It works with CPAP, APAP, and BiLevel machines that use standard tubing connections. It may not be compatible with the ResMed AirMini or some other compact travel CPAPs, and SmartStart or Auto-On features can be unreliable with this mask on certain devices.

Does the Solo Nasal Mask use magnets?

No. It is completely magnet-free, which makes it a safe choice if you have a pacemaker, insulin pump, or other medical implant that magnets could affect.

What comes in the box?

The AutoFit headgear, a nasal cushion in the size you order, and the frame with tube and swivel already assembled. The Fit Pack ships with Small, Medium, and Large cushions in one box, and Wide is sold separately.

What sizes does the nasal cushion come in?

Small, Medium, Large, and Wide. The one-size headgear fits about 95 percent of people and works with any cushion size, so you only need to size the cushion, not the headgear.

How is the Solo headgear adjusted?

A split-tail strap at the back of the head lets you fine-tune the fit. Pull the tails farther apart for a tighter, more stable seal, or keep them closer together for a looser fit. AutoLock holds the seal without conventional side straps.

Is this mask good for side sleepers?

Yes. Its low profile and minimal frame keep it out of the way when you turn onto your side, which is one of the reasons side sleepers gravitate toward this style of mask.

Can I switch between the nasal cushion and nasal pillows?

Yes. The AutoFit headgear is interchangeable between the Solo Nasal cushion and the F&P Solo Pillows cushion, so you can change your seal style without buying new headgear. Cushions are sold separately.

What is the difference between a nasal mask and a nasal pillow mask?

A nasal mask like the Solo Nasal uses a cushion that sits under the nose, while a nasal pillow mask uses small inserts that seal directly at the nostrils. Nasal masks tend to feel more stable, while nasal pillows feel more minimal.

Can I use this mask if I breathe through my mouth?

It is designed for people who breathe through their nose during sleep. If you tend to breathe through your mouth, a full-face mask or a nasal mask paired with a chin strap is usually a better fit.

How do I clean the Solo Nasal Mask?

Wipe the cushion and frame daily with warm, soapy water or CPAP wipes, and do a full breakdown clean weekly. Let all parts air dry fully before reassembling, and avoid harsh chemicals that can break down the silicone.

How often should I replace the mask or cushion?

As a general guideline, replace the cushion every one to three months and the full mask every six months, or sooner if you notice cracking, stretching, or a weaker seal.
