Overview

If straps and clips are what make you dread putting on a mask, the F&P Solo Pillows takes them away. It is part of the first AutoFit line: you stretch the headgear on in one motion, with nothing to buckle, and it locks itself in place while you sleep.

The soft AirPillows rest gently in and around your nostrils, so there is barely anything on your face and your view stays open. We pair it with the React Health G3 X, an auto-adjusting machine that handles your pressure and comes with its humidifier ready to go.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the Solo Pillows lying in your usual sleep position. Stretch the AutoFit headgear on first, then use a single touch to position the AirPillow cushion in and around your nostrils before starting the machine.
  • Let the machine reach working pressure before you judge whether the seal feels right. The AirPillow cushion settles under therapy pressure, so an impression with no airflow may not reflect the seal you will have during actual therapy.
  • If you wake with leaks, try repositioning the cushion with a light touch before tightening the headgear. Overtightening almost always makes leaks worse, not better.
  • The wider you split the gray and gold headgear straps at the back of your head, the more stable the fit. Anchor the gray strap at the base of your skull, then place the gold strap on top of your head.
  • If you have long hair, thread it through the gray and gold straps for the most stable headgear position. The F&P Solo headgear fitting tips video walks through this step if you want a visual guide.
  • If your cushion feels too large or too small, try a different size before assuming the mask is wrong for you. Small cushions suit people who feel discomfort inside the nostrils; Large suits people who notice persistent leaks at the sides.
  • The Solo Pillows is for nasal breathers only. If you breathe through your mouth or wake with a dry mouth, add a chin strap to keep your mouth closed during the night.
  • Rinse the AirPillow cushion, frame, short tube, and headgear daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry before reassembling. Do not put any Solo Pillows components in the dishwasher.
  • Replace the AirPillow cushion approximately every 14 days and the frame every 3 months. Replace the headgear after 6 months or sooner if it stops retracting after a thorough wash. Replacement parts are sold separately.
  • Use distilled water only in the humidifier, and clean with approved CPAP cleaning supplies (avoid ozone cleaners, which void the warranty).
  • Replace the reusable air filter about every 6 months, and the optional ultra-fine filter about every 2 weeks.

Product Features

Foam-Free, One Less Worry

If the recent foam recalls left you wary, the G3 X is built without the internal sound-abatement foam, and React Health introduces it as the first standard-size foam-free PAP available in the U.S. It still runs quietly, around 28 dB(A) per the manufacturer, so it is easy to sleep next to.

Pressure That Adjusts to You

You should not have to think about pressure settings. In auto mode, the Smart A feature reads your breathing over several nights and fine-tunes your range, so therapy stays comfortable as your needs change. Prefer a set pressure? It runs in fixed CPAP mode too.

Comfort Built In: Humidifier and Heated Tubing

Dry air is one of the most common reasons people give up on CPAP. This G4600 includes the integrated heated humidifier and heated tubing, so the air reaches you warm and you see less water buildup (rainout) in the hose. Use distilled water to keep the chamber clean.

Put Your Mask On in One Motion, Every Night

The AutoFit headgear stretches on in a single move with no side straps, clips, or buckles to thread or adjust. One touch positions the AirPillow cushion for a seal and you are ready for therapy. The one-size headgear fits the vast majority of people and removes the overtightening that leaves marks or causes morning discomfort.

Stay Sealed All Night Without Strapping It Tight

AutoLock technology holds the mask in position as you move, so you never need to over-cinch the headgear before bed. The AirPillow cushion sits gently in and around the nostrils for a stable, light contact seal. If it shifts, one touch repositions it.

Safe for Pacemakers and Implanted Devices

The F&P Solo Pillows contains no magnets anywhere in its assembly. The FDA precaution for magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, and cochlear implants does not apply to this mask. Confirm with your cardiologist before starting therapy.

No Foam in the Air Path, No Worries About It Breaking Down

The G3 X removes the internal sound-abatement foam from the air path entirely. You get the same quiet, effective therapy without the concern older foam-equipped machines have raised about material degradation over time.

Pressure That Gets Smarter Every Night

The Smart A algorithm reads your recent therapy data and adjusts your pressure accordingly, so what you receive tonight reflects how you have been sleeping. The result is a more tailored experience that builds on itself rather than staying static.

Less Dry Mouth, More Comfortable Nights

The built-in heated humidifier and heated tubing deliver warm, moist air that reduces dryness and irritation. Everything is integrated at the start, so there is nothing extra to buy or connect before your first night.

Quiet Enough to Stop Being a Factor

At under 28 dB, the G3 X runs quietly enough that the machine stops competing with sleep. Your partner gets an uninterrupted night, and so do you.

Try a Different Cushion Style on the Same Headgear

The Solo headgear works with both the Solo Pillows and the Solo Nasal cushion. If you want to switch from a pillow style to an under-nose style later, you swap the cushion on the headgear you already have.

See Your Therapy Without Any Setup

The G3 X connects over built-in 4G, so your sleep data reaches your care team and your app without any network setup on your end. Open the app, and your progress is already there.

FAQs

How does the AirPillow cushion seal, and how is it different from a standard nasal pillow?

The AirPillow cushion sits in and around the nostril opening rather than inserting deeply into the nasal passage the way older pillow designs do. The contact is lighter and more distributed around the nostril rim, which makes it more comfortable at higher therapy pressures. Standard nasal pillows press directly into the nostrils and can cause soreness or air leaks as pressure increases.

Which AirPillow cushion size do I need?

The Solo Pillows cushion comes in Small, Medium, and Large. If you are unsure, start with Medium and size down to Small if you feel discomfort inside the nostrils, or size up to Large if you experience persistent leaks at the sides. A Fit Pack with all three sizes is available so you can test each at home. The F&P myMask app also provides sizing guidance, though app sizing for pillows is not currently supported.

How is the Solo Pillows different from the Solo Nasal?

The Solo Pillows AirPillow cushion sits in and around the nostrils, while the Solo Nasal cushion sits under the nose in a cradle style and does not enter the nostrils. Both use the same AutoFit headgear, so you can swap cushion types on the same frame if you want to try both styles. Solo Pillows comes in Small, Medium, and Large. Solo Nasal adds a Wide size. The choice usually comes down to personal comfort preference.

Can I use the Solo Pillows if I breathe through my mouth at night?

No, not without an accessory. The Solo Pillows covers only the nose, so mouth breathing breaks the seal and reduces therapy effectiveness. A chin strap can help keep your mouth closed if you breathe through your mouth occasionally. If you are a consistent mouth breather, a full-face or hybrid mask is a better fit.

Is the Solo Pillows safe if I have a pacemaker or other implanted device?

Yes. The F&P Solo Pillows contains no magnets in any part of its assembly. The FDA precautionary guidance about magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, cochlear implants, and similar devices does not apply to this mask. Confirm with your cardiologist before starting therapy.

How do I clean the Solo Pillows mask?

Rinse the AirPillow cushion, frame, short tube, and headgear daily with warm water and mild soap, then allow all parts to air dry before reassembling. Do not use ozone-based cleaners on the mask or on the G3 X humidifier. Follow the F&P Solo use and care guide for the full cleaning and replacement schedule.

How often do I replace the AirPillow cushion and headgear?

Replace the AirPillow cushion approximately every 14 days and the frame every 3 months under regular use. For the headgear, replace after 6 months or sooner if it stops retracting after a thorough wash or no longer holds its shape. Visible wear, persistent leaks after refitting, or loss of cushion softness are signs to replace sooner. Replacement parts are sold separately.

Does the Solo Pillows work with the ResMed AirMini?

Not directly. The F&P Solo Pillows is compatible with most home PAP devices, but the ResMed AirMini travel CPAP requires a separate adapter for F&P masks. No adapter is needed with the G3 X in this bundle or with any standard home-size machine.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The G3 X is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, we can help eligible U.S. residents renew it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The React Health G3 X carries a 5-year machine warranty, and the F&P Solo Pillows carries the 90-day Fisher and Paykel mask warranty, so the two are covered separately. The G3 X also meets FAA requirements (RTCA DO-160) for use during all phases of flight.

What does foam-free mean, and does the machine need Wi-Fi?

Foam-free means the G3 X has no internal sound-abatement foam in the air path. The user-replaceable intake filter is a separate part. The machine shares data over a built-in 4G cellular modem, so no Wi-Fi setup is needed.
