Fit the FitLife lying down in your usual sleep position. The perimeter seal needs to seat against the outer edge of your face with even contact all the way around before you start therapy.
The FitLife works best for back sleepers. If you sleep primarily on your side, the larger frame makes it difficult to maintain the perimeter seal against a pillow.
If you wake with leaks, check the seal boundary all the way around the perimeter before you tighten the headgear. Overtightening almost always makes leaks worse, not better, with a perimeter seal design.
The snap clips and EZ peel tabs are designed for quick release and reattachment. Use them rather than loosening the headgear each time you need to remove the mask briefly during the night.
The FitLife covers both nose and mouth, so it handles mouth breathing without any add-on accessory. If you have been using a chin strap with a previous nasal mask, you will not need it with the FitLife.
Wash the mask frame, silicone cushion, clear faceplate, and headgear daily with warm water and mild soap. Avoid soaps with antibacterial agents or added lotion, as these break down silicone over time.
