The DreamWear Nasal is the easy part. Its hose connects at the top of your head instead of in front of your face, so you can roll onto your side or stomach, read, or wear glasses with nothing in the way. It uses no magnets, which matters if you or your partner has a pacemaker or another implant.

Important Tips

  • Before your first night, read the React Health user guide and fill the water chamber with distilled water only, since tap water leaves mineral deposits.
  • Fit the DreamWear Nasal lying down in your sleep position. The cushion should feel snug without pressing the nostrils closed.
  • If leaks wake you, try the next cushion size before tightening the headgear. Overtightening is a common cause of leaks and pressure marks.
  • The foam-free label refers to the internal sound-abatement foam. The reusable intake filter is a separate part and still needs cleaning or replacement on schedule.
  • Replace the reusable air filter about every 6 months, and the optional ultra-fine filter about every 2 weeks. Keep replacement CPAP filters on hand.
  • Do not use ozone-based cleaners on the machine or chamber, since this voids the warranty. Use approved CPAP cleaning supplies instead.
  • Rinse the cushion and frame daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry before reassembling.
  • The DreamWear Nasal is for nasal breathers. If you breathe through your mouth, add a chin strap or consider a different mask style.
  • The hose connects at the top of your head. Run it up and over your pillow to reduce pull while you move during the night.

This makes the bundle safe for people with pacemakers, ICDs, and other implanted medical devices. Note that the DreamWear Full Face mask is a different product and does use magnets.

What does foam-free mean on the G3 X machine?

The G3 X is the first standard-size foam-free PAP available in the U.S. This means the internal sound-abatement foam that most home CPAP machines place in the air path has been removed. The machine still includes a reusable intake filter at the back, which is a separate component and is not part of the foam-free claim.

Who is the DreamWear Nasal mask best suited for?

Can I use this machine on a plane?

Yes. The G3 X meets FAA requirements (RTCA DO-160) for use during all phases of flight. The machine operates on 100 to 240V 50/60Hz, so no voltage adapter is needed for international travel. Individual airline policies can vary, so confirm with your carrier before your trip.

What warranty does this bundle carry?

The React Health G3 X machine carries a 5-year limited warranty from React Health. The DreamWear Nasal mask carries the Philips manufacturer mask warranty. The machine and mask are covered separately, so the two warranty periods and terms differ.

Does the G3 X require Wi-Fi setup?

No. The G4600 includes a built-in 4G cellular modem that connects to the React Health Connect cloud platform automatically. You do not need to set up Wi-Fi or enter network credentials. Therapy data is also saved to the included SD card.

What mask size should I order?

The DreamWear Nasal comes in four cushion sizes (Small, Medium, Medium-Wide, Large) and three frame sizes (Small, Medium, Large). If you are unsure, the Fit Pack includes a Medium frame and all four cushions so you can find your best fit at home. The Philips DreamMapper app also includes a fit-check guide.

Is the DreamWear Nasal mask discontinued?

No. The DreamWear Nasal is a current Philips Respironics product and replacement cushions, frames, and headgear are in active stock. The Philips foam recall issued in prior years applied to sleep therapy devices, not masks. The mask line continues to be produced and supported.

Can I use this mask if I breathe through my mouth at night?

No, not without an additional accessory. The DreamWear Nasal only covers the nose, so mouth breathing will break the seal and interrupt therapy. Adding a chin strap can help keep your mouth closed. If you consistently breathe through your mouth, a full-face or hybrid mask may be a better fit.
