Overview

If you have ever given up on a mask because the straps were a hassle, the F&P Solo is built to fix exactly that. It is the first AutoFit mask: you stretch it on in one motion, with no side straps, clips, or buckles to adjust, and it locks itself into place as you sleep.

The cushion sits gently under your nose and moves with you, so most people get a good fit on the first try. We pair it with the React Health G3 X, an auto-adjusting machine that handles your pressure for you and comes with its humidifier ready to go.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the Solo Nasal mask sitting upright or lying in your usual sleep position. Stretch the headgear on first, then use a single touch to position the cushion comfortably under your nose before starting the machine.
  • Let the machine reach working pressure before you judge whether the seal is right. The Dynamic Support Technology cushion adapts under pressure, so an early impression with no airflow may not reflect the seal you will have during actual therapy.
  • If you wake with leaks, try repositioning the cushion with a light touch before tightening the headgear. Overtightening causes the cushion to compress and lose its seal, not improve it.
  • The wider you split the gray and gold headgear straps at the back of your head, the more stable the fit. Anchor the gray strap at the base of your skull, then place the gold strap on top of your head.
  • If you have long hair, thread your hair through the gray and gold straps for the most stable headgear position. The F&P Solo headgear fitting tips video walks through this step if you want a visual guide.
  • The Solo Nasal is for nasal breathers only. If you breathe through your mouth or wake with a dry mouth, add a chin strap to keep your mouth closed during the night.
  • Rinse the cushion, frame, and headgear daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry before reassembling. Do not put any Solo Nasal components in the dishwasher.
  • Replace the nasal cushion approximately every 14 days and the frame every 3 months. Replace the headgear after 6 months or sooner if it stops retracting or no longer holds its shape after a thorough wash. Replacement parts are sold separately.
  • If the cushion feels too large or small, try a different size before assuming the mask is wrong for you. The Fit Pack (SLN1SMLA) includes Small, Medium, and Large so you can find the right fit without placing multiple orders.
  • Use distilled water only in the humidifier, and clean with approved CPAP cleaning supplies (avoid ozone cleaners, which void the warranty).
  • Replace the reusable air filter about every 6 months, and the optional ultra-fine filter about every 2 weeks.

Product Features

Foam-Free, One Less Worry

If the recent foam recalls left you wary, the G3 X is built without the internal sound-abatement foam, and React Health introduces it as the first standard-size foam-free PAP available in the U.S. It still runs quietly, around 28 dB(A) per the manufacturer, so it is easy to sleep next to.

Pressure That Adjusts to You

You should not have to think about pressure settings. In auto mode, the Smart A feature reads your breathing over several nights and fine-tunes your range, so therapy stays comfortable as your needs change. Prefer a set pressure? It runs in fixed CPAP mode too.

Comfort Built In: Humidifier and Heated Tubing

Dry air is one of the most common reasons people give up on CPAP. This G4600 includes the integrated heated humidifier and heated tubing, so the air reaches you warm and you see less water buildup (rainout) in the hose. Use distilled water to keep the chamber clean.

On in One Motion, No Side Straps or Clips to Thread

The AutoFit headgear stretches on in a single motion. There are no side straps, clips, or buckles to thread or adjust before bed. One touch under your nose seats the cushion, and you are done. The one-size design fits the vast majority of people without the nightly fussing that can make some people abandon therapy.

AutoLock Holds the Cushion in Place All Night

AutoLock technology holds the mask in position as you move through the night without needing you to crank the headgear tight before bed. If the cushion shifts, one light touch repositions it without fully waking you up. No more waking to find your mask has drifted or that tight straps have left marks on your face by morning.

Under-the-Nose Cushion, No Inserts, No Magnets

The Solo Nasal cushion cradles under your nose rather than inserting anything into your nostrils. It contains no magnets anywhere in its assembly, so people with pacemakers, ICDs, or other implanted devices can use it without the magnetic-distance precautions that apply to other mask styles. Confirm the right mask choice with your cardiologist before starting therapy.

A Seal That Moves With You Without Slipping

The cushion cradles under your nose rather than inserting into your nostrils. Dynamic Support Technology in the cushion allows natural movement during sleep while keeping the seal comfortably in place, so shifting positions during the night does not mean waking up to leaks.

No Aging Foam Inside Your Machine

No internal foam means no worry about foam breaking down inside the air path over time, a concern that affected certain older CPAP devices. The G3 X is the first standard-size foam-free PAP machine available in the U.S., delivering reliable therapy without that tradeoff.

Therapy That Adjusts to How You Sleep

The Smart A algorithm tracks your recent therapy and adjusts your pressure automatically, so your settings evolve with you without requiring manual changes. Nights where you need a little more or a little less support are handled without you thinking about it.

Warm, Comfortable Air from the First Breath

Built-in heated humidification and heated tubing deliver warm, moist air throughout the night, reducing dryness, irritation, and rainout. The humidifier comes ready to go, with nothing extra to purchase before your first night.

Quiet Enough Not to Wake Your Partner

The G3 X runs at under 28 dB(A), which is quieter than a soft whisper. Most people and their partners do not notice it running once they are used to it.

Automatic Tracking, No Network Setup

A built-in 4G cellular modem sends your therapy data to the cloud on its own. No Wi-Fi setup, no passwords, no app pairing required before bed. You can check your progress through the patient app or the on-device display whenever you want.

FAQs

How is the Solo Nasal different from a nasal pillow mask?

The Solo Nasal cushion sits under the nose in a cradle position, not inside the nostrils. Dynamic Support Technology in the cushion allows some movement while holding the seal in place. A nasal pillow mask inserts small pillows directly into each nostril. If you have found pillow masks uncomfortable at higher pressures or want nothing entering the nostrils, the Solo Nasal is worth trying.

What cushion size do I need for the Solo Nasal?

The Solo Nasal cushion comes in Small, Medium, Large, and Wide. If you are unsure, order the Fit Pack (SLN1SMLA), which includes Small, Medium, and Large in one box so you can test each at home. The F&P myMask app also provides sizing guidance before you order.

How does AutoLock work, and will the mask stay put if I move during the night?

AutoLock technology, made with carbon fiber, holds the mask in position during sleep automatically. If the cushion shifts, you can pull it out and reposition with a single touch. In an internal trial, 95% of users set up the mask without help and 93% rated the experience simple or very simple, suggesting the fit-and-forget design works as intended for most people.

Can I use the Solo Nasal if I breathe through my mouth at night?

No, not without an accessory. The Solo Nasal covers only the nose, so mouth breathing breaks the seal and reduces therapy effectiveness. A chin strap can help if you breathe through your mouth occasionally. If you are a consistent mouth breather, a full-face or hybrid mask is a better fit.

Is the Solo Nasal safe if I have a pacemaker or other implanted device?

Yes. The F&P Solo Nasal contains no magnets in any part of its assembly. The FDA precautionary guidance about magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, cochlear implants, and similar devices does not apply to this mask. Confirm with your cardiologist before starting therapy.

How do I clean the Solo Nasal mask?

Rinse the cushion, frame, and headgear daily with warm water and mild soap, then allow all parts to air dry before reassembling. Do not use ozone-based cleaners on the mask or on the G3 X humidifier. Follow the F&P Solo use and care guide for the complete cleaning and replacement schedule.

How often do I replace the Solo Nasal cushion and headgear?

Replace the nasal cushion approximately every 14 days and the frame every 3 months under regular use. For the headgear, replace it after 6 months or if it stops retracting after a thorough wash or no longer holds its shape. Visible wear, persistent leaks after refitting, or loss of cushion softness are all signs to replace sooner. Replacement cushions and frames are sold separately.

Does the Solo Nasal work with the ResMed AirMini?

Not directly. The F&P Solo Nasal is compatible with most home PAP devices, but the ResMed AirMini travel CPAP requires a separate adapter for F&P masks. For use with any home-size machine, including the G3 X in this bundle, no adapter is needed.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The G3 X is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, we can help eligible U.S. residents renew it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The React Health G3 X carries a 5-year machine warranty, and the F&P Solo Nasal carries the 90-day Fisher and Paykel mask warranty, so the two are covered separately. The G3 X also meets FAA requirements (RTCA DO-160) for use during all phases of flight.

What does foam-free mean, and does the machine need Wi-Fi?

Foam-free means the G3 X has no internal sound-abatement foam in the air path. The user-replaceable intake filter is a separate part. The machine shares data over a built-in 4G cellular modem, so no Wi-Fi setup is needed.
