Overview

Most nasal pillow masks use firm silicone, but the Nuance Pro uses a soft gel ring that cushions where it meets your nose. All three pillow sizes come in the box, so you can find the one that seals best without ordering again.

You can also pick the frame that suits you: a silicone frame with gel cheek pads, or an all-fabric frame that is even softer. We pair it with the React Health G3 X, which adjusts your pressure breath by breath and comes with its heated humidifier built in.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Test all three gel pillow sizes before settling on one. The right size seals snugly around the nostrils without pressing into the nasal passage or leaving a visible gap at the sides. All three sizes are in the box.
  • Fit the mask lying down in your usual sleep position. The gel ring conforms under therapy pressure, so allow the machine to reach your working pressure before deciding whether the seal feels right.
  • If you wake with leaks, try a different pillow size before tightening the headgear. The open three-point headgear is designed to hold with a light fit, and overtightening almost always makes leaks worse.
  • Use the over-the-head hose routing if you move a lot during the night. Feed the hose through the loop on the headgear crown to reduce hose pull on the seal when you shift from side to side.
  • If you prefer the front hose route, the 360-degree swivel elbow lets the hose rotate freely as you move, reducing tension on the pillow seal without locking you into a fixed position.
  • The Nuance Pro is for nasal breathers only. If you breathe through your mouth or wake with a dry mouth, add a chin strap to keep your mouth closed during the night.
  • Rinse the gel pillow cushions, frame, and headgear daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry before reassembling. Do not put any Nuance Pro components in the dishwasher.
  • Replace the gel pillow cushions approximately every 3 months or sooner if you notice persistent leaks, softness loss, or visible wear. Replacement cushions are sold separately.
  • The Nuance Pro has no magnets. If you have a pacemaker, ICD, cochlear implant, or any other implanted device, this mask is implant-safe by design. Still confirm with your cardiologist before starting therapy.
  • Use distilled water only in the humidifier, and clean with approved CPAP cleaning supplies (avoid ozone cleaners, which void the warranty).
  • Replace the reusable air filter about every 6 months, and the optional ultra-fine filter about every 2 weeks.

Product Features

Foam-Free, One Less Worry

If the recent foam recalls left you wary, the G3 X is built without the internal sound-abatement foam, and React Health introduces it as the first standard-size foam-free PAP available in the U.S. It still runs quietly, around 28 dB(A) per the manufacturer, so it is easy to sleep next to.

Pressure That Adjusts to You

You should not have to think about pressure settings. In auto mode, the Smart A feature reads your breathing over several nights and fine-tunes your range, so therapy stays comfortable as your needs change. Prefer a set pressure? It runs in fixed CPAP mode too.

Comfort Built In: Humidifier and Heated Tubing

Dry air is one of the most common reasons people give up on CPAP. This G4600 includes the integrated heated humidifier and heated tubing, so the air reaches you warm and you see less water buildup (rainout) in the hose. Use distilled water to keep the chamber clean.

Soft Gel Cushions That Conform Around the Nostrils

The Nuance Pro uses a gel nasal pillow, not silicone. The soft gel ring conforms around the nostril opening instead of pressing against it, which tends to feel more forgiving at any therapy pressure. All three sizes are in the box, so you can try Small, Medium, and Large at home and keep the one that seals best.

Pick a Silicone Frame or Go Fully Fabric

The silicone frame has soft gel cheek pads for a stable, cooler contact along the sides of your face. The all-fabric frame replaces every rigid component with soft material, giving the lightest possible feel against skin. Both frames use the same gel pillow cushions and headgear, so you can try both without buying new parts.

Open Design That Stays Clear of Glasses and Forehead

The Nuance Pro has no forehead bar, no bridge support, and no magnets anywhere in the assembly. The open three-point headgear leaves your full visual field clear, so glasses wearers can put the mask on and take it off without adjusting the frame. It also means people with pacemakers, ICDs, or other implanted devices can use it without the magnetic-distance precautions that apply to other masks.

Sleep in Any Position Without Hose Pull

The short tube connects at the front through a 360-degree swivel elbow that rotates as you shift positions. If you move a lot during the night, you can also route the hose up and over your head using the loop on the headgear crown. Either path reduces tension on the gel seal when you roll side to side.

A Modern Foam-Free Build

We carry the G3 X because it removes the worry that comes with foam-based machines: no internal foam in the air path means no foam degrading over time. It is the first standard-size foam-free PAP available in the U.S., and it still delivers quiet, effective therapy.

Therapy That Adjusts to Your Sleep, Night by Night

The Smart A algorithm tracks your recent therapy and adjusts pressure based on what you actually needed, so you are not locked into a fixed setting. Over time it shapes to your pattern without any manual changes on your end.

Warm, Humidified Air That Reduces Dryness

The built-in heated humidifier and heated tubing work together so the air reaching you feels comfortable rather than cold and dry. Rainout and irritation are the most common reasons people abandon therapy early, and the heated circuit helps keep both in check.

Quiet Enough to Not Keep Your Partner Awake

The G3 X runs at under 28 dB, which puts it in whisper range for most bedrooms. Combined with the Nuance Pro's micro exhalation ports, which direct exhaled air away from a bed partner rather than straight out to the sides, the whole setup stays unobtrusive.

Therapy Data Syncs Over 4G, No Wi-Fi Needed

A built-in 4G cellular modem sends your therapy data to the React Health Connect platform automatically each night. There is no network setup, no password to enter, and no app required to get your data moving. You can check your progress on the device display, the patient app, or the cloud dashboard.

FAQs

What makes the Nuance Pro different from a standard nasal pillow mask?

The main difference is the cushion material. The Nuance Pro uses gel nasal pillows with a soft urethane gel ring rather than silicone. The gel conforms around the nostril opening and tends to feel more forgiving, especially at higher therapy pressures where a firmer silicone pillow can create discomfort. All three sizes (Small, Medium, Large) come in the box, so no separate Fit Pack is needed.

Which pillow size do I need?

All three sizes come in the box, so you can test Small, Medium, and Large at home and keep whichever seals best. There is no need to guess at checkout or order additional sizes separately. Replacement pillows for the size you choose are sold individually.

What is the difference between the silicone frame and the fabric frame?

The silicone frame adds gel cheek pads along the sides of the face for a cooler, more stable contact. The all-fabric frame replaces those with soft material throughout for the lightest possible feel against the skin. Both use the same gel pillow cushions and connect to the same headgear, so the choice comes down to which contact texture you prefer.

Who is the Nuance Pro a good fit for?

The Nuance Pro works well for nasal breathers who want soft gel pillows and minimal face contact: side and stomach sleepers, glasses wearers, people who feel claustrophobic in larger masks, and anyone sensitive to silicone cushions. The open headgear leaves the forehead clear, and the optional over-the-head hose routing helps active sleepers.

Can I use the Nuance Pro if I breathe through my mouth at night?

No, not without an accessory. The Nuance Pro covers only the nose, so mouth breathing breaks the seal and reduces therapy effectiveness. A chin strap can help keep your mouth closed if you breathe through your mouth occasionally. If you are a consistent mouth breather, a full-face or hybrid mask is a better fit.

Is the Nuance Pro safe if I have a pacemaker or implanted device?

Yes. The Nuance Pro contains no magnets in any part of its assembly. It uses fabric and Velcro clips for closure rather than magnetic snaps. The FDA precautionary guidance about magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, cochlear implants, and similar devices does not apply to this mask. Confirm with your cardiologist before starting therapy.

How do I clean the Nuance Pro?

Rinse the gel pillow cushions, frame, headgear, and short tube daily with warm water and mild soap, then allow all parts to air dry before reassembling. Avoid submerging the swivel elbow. Follow the replacement schedule in the Nuance Pro use and care guide to maintain a quiet, effective seal.

How often do I replace the gel pillow cushions?

Replace the gel pillow cushions approximately every 3 months under regular use. Visible wear, persistent leaks after refitting, or a noticeable loss of gel softness are all signs a replacement is due. Replacement pillows are sold separately.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The G3 X is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, we can help eligible U.S. residents renew it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The React Health G3 X carries a 5-year machine warranty, and the mask carries the Philips manufacturer mask warranty, so the two are covered separately. The G3 X also meets FAA requirements (RTCA DO-160) for use during all phases of flight.

What does foam-free mean, and does the machine need Wi-Fi?

Foam-free means the G3 X has no internal sound-abatement foam in the air path. The user-replaceable intake filter is a separate part. The machine shares data over a built-in 4G cellular modem, so no Wi-Fi setup is needed.
