Overview

If you like to read or scroll before bed, the F&P Eson 2 keeps your view wide open. It is a nasal mask with a slim, low-profile frame and a RollFit seal that adjusts on the bridge of your nose, so it stays sealed without pressing hard on your face.

Blue markers on the parts make it easy to take apart and put back together after cleaning, which helps when you are half asleep. We pair it with the React Health G3 X, which reads your breathing and adjusts your pressure all night, humidifier included.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the Eson 2 lying down in your usual sleep position. The RollFit cushion settles and adjusts under therapy pressure, so let the machine reach your working pressure before judging whether the seal feels right.
  • If you ordered the Fit Pack, try each seal size for a full night before deciding. The right size seats snugly across the nose bridge without creating a visible gap or leaving a deep red mark by morning.
  • If you wake with leaks, try the adjacent cushion size before you tighten the headgear. Overtightening the ErgoForm headgear compresses the RollFit cushion and almost always makes leaks worse rather than better.
  • The Eson 2 is for nasal breathers only. If you breathe through your mouth or wake with a dry mouth, add a chin strap to keep your mouth closed during the night.
  • Use the VisiBlue markers during reassembly after cleaning. Match the blue cues on the cushion and elbow to confirm each component is oriented correctly before starting therapy.
  • Rinse the cushion, headgear, and diffuser daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry completely before reassembling. Do not put any Eson 2 components in the dishwasher or dryer.
  • The diffuser is washable and reusable. Replace it on the schedule in the Eson 2 use and care guide to keep exhalation noise low and the diffuser path clear.
  • Replace the RollFit cushion approximately every 3 months or sooner if you notice persistent leaks, visible cracking, or a change in softness. Replacement cushions are sold separately.
  • If you wear glasses in bed before sleeping, the low-profile Easy Clip frame is designed to stay below your sightline. Position the mask first, then put your glasses on to confirm the frame is not intersecting your lenses.
  • Use distilled water only in the humidifier, and clean with approved CPAP cleaning supplies (avoid ozone cleaners, which void the warranty).
  • Replace the reusable air filter about every 6 months, and the optional ultra-fine filter about every 2 weeks.

Product Features

Foam-Free, One Less Worry

If the recent foam recalls left you wary, the G3 X is built without the internal sound-abatement foam, and React Health introduces it as the first standard-size foam-free PAP available in the U.S. It still runs quietly, around 28 dB(A) per the manufacturer, so it is easy to sleep next to.

Pressure That Adjusts to You

You should not have to think about pressure settings. In auto mode, the Smart A feature reads your breathing over several nights and fine-tunes your range, so therapy stays comfortable as your needs change. Prefer a set pressure? It runs in fixed CPAP mode too.

Comfort Built In: Humidifier and Heated Tubing

Dry air is one of the most common reasons people give up on CPAP. This G4600 includes the integrated heated humidifier and heated tubing, so the air reaches you warm and you see less water buildup (rainout) in the hose. Use distilled water to keep the chamber clean.

A Nasal Seal That Rolls With You as You Shift

The RollFit cushion is a one-piece silicone seal that rolls back and forth on the bridge of your nose under therapy pressure. When you turn your head or shift position during the night, the cushion follows the movement and stays in contact with your skin. You get a stable seal without pressing harder on your face and without waking up to re-tighten the headgear.

Quiet Venting You Can Wash and Reuse

The Eson 2 diffuser muffles exhalation noise and redirects airflow away from a bed partner. It rinses clean under warm water and reattaches without any replacement parts. Most vents are disposable; this one is washable, so you are not swapping components every week to keep the mask quiet.

Clear Sightline Frame With Color-Coded Assembly Guides

The Easy Clip frame sits low and narrow on your face, keeping your full visual field open for glasses, screens, or reading before sleep. VisiBlue color markers on every connection point show exactly where each part belongs during reassembly after cleaning, so correct orientation is visible even in low light or when you are half asleep. The Eson 2 contains no magnets, so it is safe for people with pacemakers, ICDs, cochlear implants, or other implanted devices.

Headgear That Stays High and Moves With You

ErgoForm headgear self-positions toward the crown of your head rather than riding low on the base of the skull. That higher position gives you more freedom to roll side to side without the mask pulling away from your face and reduces the area pressing against your pillow.

Peace of Mind With a Foam-Free Air Path

No internal sound-abatement foam sits in the air path of the G3 X. That removes any worry about foam breaking down over time inside the machine, an issue that affected certain older CPAP devices. The reusable intake filter at the back is a separate part and still follows a normal replacement schedule.

Pressure That Learns and Adjusts Through the Night

The Smart A algorithm reads your recent therapy data and fine-tunes your pressure automatically, so you receive only as much air as your breathing actually needs. The adjustment happens in the background without any manual changes on your end.

Comfortable Humidity From the First Breath

Built-in heated humidification and heated tubing warm and moisten the air before it reaches your mask, reducing the dryness and irritation that make therapy hard to stick with. There is no separate humidifier attachment to buy or connect.

Quiet Enough Not to Be Noticed

The G3 X runs at under 28 dB(A), which is quieter than a whisper at close range. The foam-free design contributes to that low sound level, and the result is a machine you and a bed partner can sleep through without disturbance.

Your Progress Syncs on Its Own

A built-in 4G cellular modem sends your nightly data to the React Health Connect platform without requiring any Wi-Fi setup or network credentials. You and your care team can review your progress through the patient app, the cloud dashboard, or the on-device display.

FAQs

How does the RollFit seal work, and why does it help with bridge-of-nose pressure?

The RollFit is a one-piece silicone cushion designed to roll back and forth slightly on the bridge of the nose as you move during sleep. That rolling motion helps the seal adjust to small shifts in head position without breaking contact. It also distributes pressure across a wider area of the nose bridge instead of concentrating it at a single point, which reduces the redness and discomfort that fixed-position nasal cushions can cause overnight.

Which Eson 2 cushion size do I need?

The Eson 2 cushion comes in Small, Medium, and Large. If you are unsure, order the Fit Pack, which ships with all three seals so you can test each at home. The F&P myMask app also provides guided sizing before you order. One headgear fits either Small or Medium-Large head sizes as a separate selection.

What does the Easy Clip frame do, and do I need a new frame for different cushion sizes?

No. The Easy Clip frame is designed so one frame fits all three cushion sizes. You swap only the cushion, not the frame. The clip mechanism lets the frame detach fully for cleaning and reattach without requiring you to re-route headgear or adjust any other part of the mask.

Is the Eson 2 a good option for glasses wearers or side sleepers?

Yes to both. The low-profile Easy Clip frame keeps the mask narrow and below your natural sightline, so wearing glasses before sleep or during a ramp period is not blocked by the mask frame. For side sleepers, the RollFit cushion adjusts under pressure as you move, and the ErgoForm headgear self-locates high on the head, which reduces the contact area against a pillow compared to headgear that wraps lower on the skull.

Can I use the Eson 2 if I breathe through my mouth at night?

Not without an accessory. The Eson 2 covers only the nose, so mouth breathing breaks the seal and reduces therapy effectiveness. A chin strap can help keep your mouth closed if you breathe through your mouth occasionally. If you are a consistent mouth breather, a full-face or hybrid mask is a better fit.

Is the Eson 2 safe if I have a pacemaker or implanted device?

Yes. Fisher and Paykel Healthcare has confirmed that their masks contain no magnets, and the Eson 2 is included in that confirmation. The FDA precautionary guidance about magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, cochlear implants, and similar devices does not apply to this mask. Confirm with your cardiologist before starting therapy.

How do I clean the Eson 2, and can I put it in the dishwasher?

No dishwasher. Rinse the cushion, headgear, and diffuser daily with warm water and mild soap, then allow all parts to air dry fully before reassembling. The diffuser is washable and reusable. VisiBlue cues on the components help you confirm correct orientation during reassembly.

How often do I replace the Eson 2 cushion and headgear?

Replace the cushion approximately every 3 months under regular use. Visible wear, persistent leaks after refitting, or a change in the cushion's softness are signs it is due for replacement. Headgear replacement typically follows every 6 months. Replacement seals and headgear are sold separately.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The G3 X is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, we can help eligible U.S. residents renew it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The React Health G3 X carries a 5-year machine warranty, and the mask carries the 90-day Fisher and Paykel mask warranty, so the two are covered separately. The G3 X also meets FAA requirements (RTCA DO-160) for use during all phases of flight.

What does foam-free mean, and does the machine need Wi-Fi?

Foam-free means the G3 X has no internal sound-abatement foam in the air path. The user-replaceable intake filter is a separate part. The machine shares data over a built-in 4G cellular modem, so no Wi-Fi setup is needed.
