Overview

Some people want as little mask as possible, and the F&P Brevida gets about as close to nothing as a CPAP mask can. Its AirPillow seal rests at the edge of your nostrils and gently inflates to hold the seal, so you feel a soft cushion instead of hardware, with a clear view for reading or glasses.

It has no magnets, so it is a safe choice if you or your partner has a pacemaker or another implant. We pair it with the React Health G3 X, which reads your breathing all night and sets your pressure for you, humidifier included.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the Brevida lying down in your usual sleep position. The AirPillow inflates under therapy pressure, so let the machine reach your working pressure before judging whether the seal feels right.
  • Try both seal sizes from the Fit Pack before committing to one. The right size seats snugly around the nostrils without pressing into the nasal passage or leaving a visible gap at the sides.
  • If you wake with leaks, try the other seal size before you tighten the headgear. The side stabilizers are designed to hold position with a light, even fit, and overtightening almost always makes leaks worse, not better.
  • The Brevida is for nasal breathers only. If you breathe through your mouth or wake with a dry mouth, add a chin strap to keep your mouth closed during the night.
  • Rinse the AirPillow seal, headgear, and diffuser daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry before reassembling. Do not put any Brevida components in the dishwasher.
  • Replace the AirPillow seal approximately every 3 months or sooner if you notice persistent leaks, softness loss, or visible wear. Replacement seals are sold separately.
  • The diffuser is washable and reusable. Follow the replacement schedule in the Brevida use and care guide to keep exhaled air quiet and the exhalation path clear.
  • The VisiBlue colored cues on the Brevida components show you which parts go where during reassembly after cleaning. Match the colors to confirm the seal and elbow are oriented correctly before starting therapy.
  • Use distilled water only in the humidifier, and clean with approved CPAP cleaning supplies (avoid ozone cleaners, which void the warranty).
  • Replace the reusable air filter about every 6 months, and the optional ultra-fine filter about every 2 weeks.

Product Features

Foam-Free, One Less Worry

If the recent foam recalls left you wary, the G3 X is built without the internal sound-abatement foam, and React Health introduces it as the first standard-size foam-free PAP available in the U.S. It still runs quietly, around 28 dB(A) per the manufacturer, so it is easy to sleep next to.

Pressure That Adjusts to You

You should not have to think about pressure settings. In auto mode, the Smart A feature reads your breathing over several nights and fine-tunes your range, so therapy stays comfortable as your needs change. Prefer a set pressure? It runs in fixed CPAP mode too.

Comfort Built In: Humidifier and Heated Tubing

Dry air is one of the most common reasons people give up on CPAP. This G4600 includes the integrated heated humidifier and heated tubing, so the air reaches you warm and you see less water buildup (rainout) in the hose. Use distilled water to keep the chamber clean.

Barely There, Sealed Tight

The AirPillow cushion rests at the edge of your nostrils and gently inflates under therapy pressure, sealing around the nostril opening rather than inserting into the nasal passage. Side supports keep it centered as you shift, so you stay sealed with almost nothing on your face.

Beards, Glasses, and Side Sleeping All Work Here

The minimal-contact design leaves your face almost entirely clear, so glasses stay comfortable and beards do not break the seal. A 360-degree swivel elbow lets the hose follow your head as you roll, which means side sleepers and restless sleepers get the same consistent seal as back sleepers.

Magnet-Free, So Implant Wearers Can Sleep Easy

The Brevida uses no magnets anywhere in its assembly. If you or your bed partner has a pacemaker, ICD, cochlear implant, or another implanted device, the FDA precautionary guidance that applies to magnetic mask closures simply does not apply here.

Exhaled Air Stays Quiet and Unnoticed

The washable diffuser softens the sound and redirects the flow of exhalation so it does not blow toward your partner. It rinses clean after each use and reuses rather than needing weekly disposal, saving you on replacement costs.

No Foam Inside Means No Worry About What Breaks Down

The G3 X removes the internal sound-abatement foam from the air path entirely, so there is nothing in the air circuit to degrade over time the way foam did in earlier CPAP machines.

Pressure That Adjusts to Each Night of Sleep

The Smart A algorithm reads your breathing throughout the night and continuously sets your pressure, so you get the right support as conditions change without touching a setting yourself.

Warm, Comfortable Air From the Start

Built-in heated humidification and heated tubing deliver warm, moistened air from your first breath, reducing dryness and irritation without requiring a separate add-on or a trip to the accessory aisle.

Tracks Your Sleep Data Without Wi-Fi

Therapy data syncs automatically over built-in 4G every night, with no network setup required. You and your care team can review your progress through the patient app or the on-device display without ever connecting to a home network.

FAQs

How does the AirPillow seal work, and how is it different from standard nasal pillows?

The AirPillow is a soft silicone cushion that inflates gently under therapy pressure and seals in and around the nostril opening rather than inserting directly into the nasal passage. Stabilizing side supports keep it centered as you move. Most standard nasal pillows insert into the nostril itself, which can cause discomfort at higher pressure settings. The inflate-to-seal approach distributes contact more gently around the nostril.

Which Brevida seal size do I need?

The Brevida comes in two sizes: Extra Small to Small, and Medium to Large. If you are unsure, order the Fit Pack (BRE1SMA), which includes both seal sizes in one box so you can test each at home. One headgear fits all head sizes. The F&P myMask app can also guide sizing before you order.

Who is the Brevida a good fit for?

The Brevida works well for nasal breathers who want minimal face contact: side sleepers, people with beards or sensitive skin, glasses wearers, and people who feel confined in larger masks. The washable diffuser also keeps exhaled air quiet, which partners in shared rooms tend to appreciate.

Can I use the Brevida if I breathe through my mouth at night?

No, not without an accessory. The Brevida covers only the nose, so mouth breathing breaks the seal and reduces therapy effectiveness. A chin strap can help keep your mouth closed if you breathe through your mouth occasionally. If you are a consistent mouth breather, a full-face or hybrid mask is a better fit.

Is the Brevida safe if I have a pacemaker or implanted device?

Yes. The Brevida contains no magnets in any part of its assembly. The FDA precautionary guidance about magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, cochlear implants, and similar devices does not apply to this mask. Confirm with your cardiologist before starting therapy.

How do I clean the Brevida AirPillow seal?

Rinse the AirPillow seal, headgear, and diffuser daily with warm water and mild soap, then allow all parts to air dry before reassembling. The diffuser is washable and reusable. Follow the replacement schedule in the Brevida use and care guide to maintain a quiet, effective seal.

How often do I replace the AirPillow seal?

Fisher and Paykel recommends replacing the AirPillow seal approximately every 3 months under regular use. Visible wear, persistent leaks after refitting, or a noticeable loss of seal softness are all signs the seal is due for replacement. Replacement seals are sold separately.

Is the Brevida a good option for side sleepers?

Yes. The minimal-contact design and 360-degree swivel elbow make the Brevida one of the more side-sleep-friendly nasal pillow masks available. The swivel allows the hose to rotate freely as you shift, reducing hose pull on the seal. The side stabilizers keep the AirPillow centered even when your face is against a pillow.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The G3 X is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, we can help eligible U.S. residents renew it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The React Health G3 X carries a 5-year machine warranty, and the mask carries its own manufacturer warranty, so the two are covered separately. The G3 X also meets FAA requirements (RTCA DO-160) for use during all phases of flight.

What does foam-free mean, and does the machine need Wi-Fi?

Foam-free means the G3 X has no internal sound-abatement foam in the air path. The user-replaceable intake filter is a separate part. The machine shares data over a built-in 4G cellular modem, so no Wi-Fi setup is needed.
