Overview

The Amara View is the full face mask for people who do not want a full face mask. It still covers your nose and mouth, but it tucks under your nose rather than sitting on the bridge, so there are no marks between your eyes and nothing in your sightline when you read or watch TV before bed.

Its stable seal holds up well at higher pressures, which pairs nicely with the auto-adjusting React Health G3 X. The machine comes with a heated humidifier built in, so the air stays comfortable all the way through the night.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the Amara View lying down in your actual sleep position with your mouth slightly open in a natural resting position. Setting the cushion seal before you tighten the headgear gives you a more accurate fit and reduces the chance of leaks overnight.
  • If the under-nose cushion leaks, try the next cushion size before tightening the headgear straps. Overtightening is the most common mistake with this mask and usually makes leaks worse, not better. The Fit Pack gives you all three sizes to compare at home.
  • Use all five headgear adjustment points rather than pulling only the lower straps. Start loose at all five, then snug each strap evenly until the cushion seals. The crown strap reduces downward pull on the lower straps and helps the cushion stay seated under the nose.
  • Do not overtighten the headgear. If you need high strap tension to stop a leak, the cushion size is likely wrong. A well-fitted cushion seals with light, even tension across all five points.
  • Magnet caution: the Amara View uses magnetic headgear clips. Keep the mask at least 6 inches (150 mm) from pacemakers, ICDs, neurostimulators, and other implanted devices. This applies to you and to anyone who sleeps near you. Non-magnetic replacement clips are available if needed.
  • Rinse the Amara View cushion and frame daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry completely before reassembling. Do not put the cushion in the dishwasher or leave it in direct sunlight, as heat and UV degrade the silicone.
  • Plan to replace the Amara View cushion about every 3 months. A worn cushion loses its sealing edge and typically causes leaks that cannot be fixed by adjusting the straps. Keeping a spare cushion on hand avoids a gap in therapy.
  • The short flexible tube on the Amara View reduces hose drag at the mask connection and lets the 360-degree swivel elbow rotate freely as you change positions. Route the main hose over the top of your head or to one side to further reduce pull on the mask frame.
  • If you have been using a chin strap with a nasal mask, you may be able to drop it with the Amara View. The full face seal covers both airways, so mouth breathing is not a leak source.
  • Use distilled water only in the humidifier, and clean with approved CPAP cleaning supplies (avoid ozone cleaners, which void the warranty).
  • Replace the reusable air filter about every 6 months, and the optional ultra-fine filter about every 2 weeks.

Product Features

Foam-Free, One Less Worry

If the recent foam recalls left you wary, the G3 X is built without the internal sound-abatement foam, and React Health introduces it as the first standard-size foam-free PAP available in the U.S. It still runs quietly, around 28 dB(A) per the manufacturer, so it is easy to sleep next to.

Pressure That Adjusts to You

You should not have to think about pressure settings. In auto mode, the Smart A feature reads your breathing over several nights and fine-tunes your range, so therapy stays comfortable as your needs change. Prefer a set pressure? It runs in fixed CPAP mode too.

Comfort Built In: Humidifier and Heated Tubing

Dry air is one of the most common reasons people give up on CPAP. This G4600 includes the integrated heated humidifier and heated tubing, so the air reaches you warm and you see less water buildup (rainout) in the hose. Use distilled water to keep the chamber clean.

Full Face Coverage, Zero Nose Bridge Contact

The Amara View cushion covers both nose and mouth but seals beneath the nose, not across the bridge. You wake up without pressure marks on your face, your glasses stay usable throughout therapy, and your full field of view stays open above the mask so reading or watching a screen in bed feels normal.

Built to Hold at Higher Therapy Pressures

The under-the-nose cushion maintains reliable contact even when your therapy pressure climbs. This is a meaningful difference from nasal masks that tend to leak at higher settings. It pairs naturally with the G3 X, which auto-adjusts across a wide range to match what you need each night.

Magnetic Clips: What to Know Before You Buy

The Amara View uses magnetic headgear clips to make the mask easy to put on and take off. Keep the mask at least 6 inches away from pacemakers, ICDs, neurostimulators, and other implanted devices. This applies to you and to anyone who sleeps near you. Non-magnetic replacement clips are available if you need them. See tips and FAQs for full details.

Built Without the Foam CPAP Users Worried About

No foam in the air path means no worry about foam breaking down over time the way it did in older CPAP machines. The G3 X eliminates that concern entirely while still delivering quiet, effective therapy.

Therapy That Learns From Your Sleep

The Smart A algorithm adjusts your pressure based on how your recent therapy is going, so support grows or eases as your needs shift. You get more personalized therapy without making manual changes.

Warm Air Built In, No Add-On Needed

Built-in heated humidification and heated tubing keep the air warm from the machine to the mask, reducing dryness and rainout so you can stay focused on sleeping.

Quiet Enough to Stop Being a Distraction

The G3 X runs under 28 dB(A), quiet enough that it fades into the background for both you and whoever sleeps next to you.

Therapy Tracking That Runs Itself

Your therapy data syncs automatically over built-in 4G with no Wi-Fi setup needed. Check your progress through the patient app, the cloud platform, or the on-device display without any extra steps.

Quieter Air, Less Disturbance for Your Partner

The Amara View redirects exhaled air away from your bed partner through diffused venting. The effect holds even at higher therapy pressures, where the under-nose seal keeps good contact with your face.

FAQs

Does the Amara View have magnets, and is it safe with a pacemaker or implant?

Yes, the Amara View uses magnetic headgear clips, so it is not magnet-free. Keep the magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from pacemakers, defibrillators (ICDs), neurostimulators, CSF shunts, insulin or infusion pumps, certain metallic stents and aneurysm clips, and metallic eye implants. This applies to you and to anyone who sleeps near you. Non-magnetic replacement clips are available if you need them. If you have an implanted device, talk to your doctor before using this mask or choose a magnet-free mask.

Why is the Amara View called a full face mask if it doesn't cover the nose bridge?

Full face means the mask covers both the nose and mouth openings, which is what matters for therapy. The Amara View seals under the nose rather than across the nose bridge, so it still delivers pressure to both airways. The absence of nose-bridge contact is a design feature, not a limitation. It reduces pressure marks and keeps your field of vision clear.

What cushion sizes does the Amara View come in, and how do I find my fit?

The Amara View cushion is available in Small, Medium, and Large. A single universal frame fits all three sizes, so you only replace the cushion, not the frame or headgear, when you change size. If you are not sure of your size, the Fit Pack includes all three cushions to try at home. The one-size headgear adjusts at five points and fits most adults.

Is the Amara View a good choice at higher therapy pressures?

Yes. The under-the-nose cushion is designed to hold its seal at higher therapy pressures. This pairs naturally with the G3 X, which auto-adjusts up to 20 cmH2O. If your prescription or therapy data trends toward higher pressures, this combination is worth considering over a nasal mask that may leak more under high pressure.

Who is the Amara View best suited for?

The Amara View works best for mouth breathers, people with frequent nasal congestion, anyone who has had redness or pressure marks from masks that sit on the nose bridge, glasses wearers, and people who read or watch TV in bed. If a chin strap is part of your setup, the full face seal on the Amara View may let you drop it.

How do I clean the Amara View cushion?

Rinse the cushion and frame daily with warm water and a mild soap, then let all parts air dry completely before reassembling. Do not use ozone-based cleaners on any component, and avoid alcohol-based wipes directly on the silicone cushion. Weekly cleaning of the headgear with mild soap and water is sufficient for the fabric parts.

How often do I replace the Amara View cushion?

Replace the cushion about every 3 months with regular daily cleaning, or sooner if you notice leaks you cannot correct by adjusting the headgear, visible tears or discoloration in the silicone, or a persistent odor after cleaning. The cushion detaches from the frame in seconds. The frame and headgear typically last longer than the cushion.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The G3 X is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, we can help eligible U.S. residents renew it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The React Health G3 X carries a 5-year machine warranty, and the mask carries its own manufacturer warranty, so the two are covered separately. The G3 X also meets FAA requirements (RTCA DO-160) for use during all phases of flight.

What does foam-free mean, and does the machine need Wi-Fi?

Foam-free means the G3 X has no internal sound-abatement foam in the air path. The user-replaceable intake filter is a separate part. The machine shares data over a built-in 4G cellular modem, so no Wi-Fi setup is needed.
