This is our Micro 510 kit for nose breathers who want a very small mask: the Transcend Micro 510 auto CPAP with the F&P Nova Micro nasal pillow mask, in your choice of machine color and pillow size.

The Nova Micro leaves minimal contact on your face: its soft pillows sit at your nostrils and it has no magnets. Choose a single pillow size (Small, Medium or Large) or the FitPack, which lets you test all three at home. The Micro 510 box also includes a hard shell case and an AirMist HME for humidity without a water chamber.

Prefer to spend less? Our original Transcend Micro bundle with the Nova Micro pairs the same mask with the white original Micro. The 510 is the one with color choices and the longer machine warranty. A prescription is required.

Important Tips

  • The FitPack ships with Medium in place. It comes fitted. If air escapes around the pillows or they feel tight inside your nose, try Small or Large for a night or two before you decide.
  • Seal the Nova Micro with a light touch. Seat the pillows in your nostrils, then even out the headgear on both sides. If it leaks, reseat the cushion rather than pulling the straps tighter. New to pillows? Read how to breathe with CPAP nasal pillows.
  • Clean the pillows and frame after each use, the headgear weekly. Use a little soap in lukewarm water, rinse, and let each part air dry away from direct sunlight. Keep the mask out of the dishwasher and away from alcohol, bleach and moisturizing cleaners.
  • Nova Micro parts have their own calendar. Cushion every 14 days, frame every 3 months, headgear every 6 months. Reorder Nova Micro headgear when the straps lose their stretch.
  • Snap the AirMist HME in line, just before the Nova Micro. The HME adapter bottom goes on the TransFlex hose and the top goes on the mask. When you load a cartridge, grip the plastic shell and leave the foam alone.
  • Press power or breathe normally into the mask to start. SleepStart may not work with every mask; if it does not start, press the power button. Therapy stops when you take the mask off. Your provider sets the pressure; ramp and exhalation relief can be changed in MySleepDash if your provider allows it.
  • Swap the AirMist cartridge on its own clock. A cartridge lasts 3 to 7 days of use and cannot be washed, so it runs out well before a Nova Micro cushion does. Stock AirMist HME replacement cartridges for the length of your trip.
  • Look at the air filter every week. Replace it about every two weeks, sooner if it looks dirty, and use Micro 510 filters only. Order Micro 510 woven filters or Micro 510 hypoallergenic filters together with your Nova Micro cushions and AirMist cartridges so one resupply order covers all three.
  • Every three months, change the hose, muffler and HME adapter. Wash them weekly in between. When the three months are up, the Micro 510 WhisperSoft muffler kit gives you a fresh muffler and TransFlex hose in one box.
  • Run the drying cycle every morning. After you take the mask off, one press of the dry cycle button keeps air moving at low speed for 30 minutes so the hose and accessories dry out.
  • Flying? Keep the whole kit in your carry-on. Print the FAA letter from Guides and Resources, set Bluetooth to off once you are airborne, and confirm your airline's notice period and battery policy when you book.
  • Going off-grid or on a long trip? Add the Transcend Micro PowerAway battery for nights without an outlet (up to 17.5 hours in most cases; runtime varies with your pressure, mask, leaks and altitude), a Transcend SleepPak travel bag or Transcend Micro travel pouch for a soft carry, or the Micro 510 Essentials Pack for spare supplies. All are sold separately.
  • Have your prescription ready. Both the Micro 510 and the Nova Micro require one. Transcend covers the machine for 3 years and its hose, muffler, HME, case and filters for 90 days; F&P covers the Nova Micro for 90 days.

Nova Micro or Brevida? Pick by Pillow Size

Both of our Micro 510 pillow bundles use an F&P nasal pillow mask. The Nova Micro comes in Small, Medium and Large, plus a FitPack with all three. If your pillow size is XS-S or M-L, our Micro 510 bundle with the F&P Brevida is the better match.

The FitPack Takes the Guesswork Out of Sizing

F&P notes you may need to try more than one cushion size to get the best fit. The FitPack puts Small, Medium and Large in one box, so you can compare them over a few nights at home. Once you settle on a size, reorder just that one in Nova Micro cushions.

Plug In at Home or Abroad

The included power supply accepts 100 to 240 V; depending on your destination you may need a plug adapter, such as our Transcend Micro travel adapters (sold separately). After a power outage, therapy restarts on its own once power returns.

Which phones work with the MySleepDash app?

Android 12 or newer and iOS 17 or newer. The app is optional: it shows your nightly data and lets you adjust the GentleRise ramp and AirRelief, and the Micro 510 runs therapy without it.

Why pay more for the Micro 510 version of this Nova Micro bundle?

The mask is identical, so the extra cost goes to the newer machine and what ships with it. The Micro 510 device is made in the USA of US and imported parts, comes in four colors where the original is white only, and Transcend backs it for 3 years, a year longer than the original. Its box adds a hard shell case and an AirMist HME, and it runs on a TransFlex hose and its own filters (the original's PureFresh filter does not fit). Fine with white and no case in the box? The original version of this bundle is the lower-priced pick.

How do people rate the Nova Micro pillows?

In an F&P internal US trial with 39 participants (2022), every participant rated the overall seal good or very good, and 38 of 39 rated the pillows soft or very soft.

Does the Nova Micro headgear change with the pillow size?

No. One headgear size fits every Nova Micro cushion, and it adjusts on both sides so you can fine-tune the fit on each side of your face.

How much does the Nova Micro weigh?

Under 1.4 ounces (about 40 g). The cushion and frame sit close to your face, which leaves you free to settle into the sleep position you prefer.

Do I have to use the AirMist HME every night?

No. Transcend lists the AirMist HME as an optional accessory for waterless humidification, so on nights you skip it the Nova Micro connects to the hose directly. When you do use it, each cartridge lasts 3 to 7 days of use and cannot be washed.
