Overview

The AirTouch F20 is ResMed's only full face mask built with a memory foam cushion instead of silicone. If a stiff silicone seal has ever left marks on your face or felt too rigid against sensitive skin, this is the swap worth trying.

The UltraSoft memory foam molds to your face instead of pressing evenly against it, which is designed to ease the marks and redness that rigid seals can leave behind. It shares its frame with the silicone AirFit F20, so if foam isn't the right feel for you, the cushions swap onto the same frame and you can switch materials without buying a new mask.

The under-eye frame skips the forehead bar, so you keep a clear line of sight to read or watch TV before you fall asleep, and magnetic clips make the headgear quick to put on and take off. Because those magnets sit in the frame and lower straps, this mask isn't the right choice if you or someone who sleeps close to you has a pacemaker or another magnet-sensitive implant (see the FAQ below for the full safety guidance). It covers your nose and mouth in one seal, so it works whether you're a mouth breather or a nose breather. A prescription is required before we can ship it, and you can browse the rest of our full face CPAP masks if you're still comparing styles.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Practice fitting the mask sitting upright before bed so the straps and elbow feel familiar before you lie down and try to sleep.
  • Wipe the memory foam cushion with alcohol-free wipes only. Never rinse it or submerge it in water like you would a silicone cushion.
  • Replace the memory foam cushion about once a month to keep the seal consistent. A replacement AirTouch F20 cushion ships in your exact size.
  • Rinse the frame and elbow daily with mild soap and water, and hand-wash the headgear about once a week.
  • A UVC CPAP cleaning machine is an easy way to sanitize the frame, headgear, and tubing between wipes, without exposing the foam cushion to water.
  • Check the headgear elastic regularly and replace it once it feels stretched. We carry both the standard headgear and the For Her headgear separately.
  • If the frame's padding wears down, a replacement frame system lets you rebuild the mask without buying a whole new one.
  • Prefer a firmer seal over foam? The AirFit F20 silicone cushion fits the same frame, so you can switch materials without a new mask.
  • If facial marks are still showing up, a CPAP-friendly moisturizer before bed can ease irritation on sensitive skin.
  • Fleece strap covers add a soft layer between the headgear and your cheeks, which helps during long therapy sessions.
  • Clean the inside of your tubing weekly with a CPAP brush set to keep moisture and bacteria from building up.
  • Pairing this mask with a heated humidifier helps prevent dry mouth, especially if you breathe through your mouth overnight.
  • This mask works well for both mouth breathers and people who like to read or watch TV before falling asleep, thanks to the open, under-eye frame.
  • Hearing more noise than usual? Check our guide on fixing CPAP mask leaks before assuming the cushion needs replacing.
  • The myAir app tracks your nightly leak rate, which is the fastest way to tell if the mask needs a fit adjustment.
  • Still deciding between full face styles? Our full face mask guide compares cushion types, fit, and sizing side by side.
  • For extra padding against facial marks, mask liners are a low-cost add-on many people pair with the AirTouch F20.
  • This mask uses magnets in the frame and lower headgear straps. Keep it at least 6 inches (150 mm) from pacemakers, defibrillators, or other magnet-sensitive implants, for you and anyone sleeping close to you. See the FAQ below for full guidance.

Everything you need to know about the AirTouch F20

A Softer Feel That Adapts to Your Face

The UltraSoft memory foam cushion molds to your face instead of pressing evenly against it, spreading contact pressure to ease the facial marks and redness that stiff silicone seals can leave behind.

Switch Between Foam and Silicone

This mask shares its frame with the silicone AirFit F20, so the cushions are interchangeable. Start on memory foam, and if you ever want a firmer silicone seal, swap the cushion without buying a new frame.

An Open View to Read or Relax

The frame sits under your eyes with no bar across your forehead, so your field of view stays open. Read, watch TV, or wear glasses before bed without the mask blocking your line of sight.

On and Off in Seconds

Magnetic clips guide the headgear into place on the frame, so you can put the mask on or take it off quickly without fumbling with straps in the dark.

Quiet Enough for Two

A diffused vent spreads exhaled air in multiple directions instead of one stream, keeping the mask quiet enough that most bed partners barely notice it.

Disconnect Without Losing Your Fit

The quick-release elbow lets you unclip from the hose for a bathroom trip without pulling the whole mask off your face, so you skip readjusting when you lie back down.

Simple, Wipe-Only Cleaning

The foam cushion does not need daily washing. Wipe it with alcohol-free wipes and let it dry; never rinse it or submerge it in water like a silicone cushion.

Built for Mouth Breathers and Nose Breathers

One seal covers your nose and mouth, so therapy keeps working whether you breathe through your nose, your mouth, or switch between the two overnight.

A Fit Made for Her

The For Her version uses a frame and headgear shaped for a smaller facial profile. Select it directly from the Style options on this page.

Safety Features Built In

An anti-asphyxia valve keeps air flowing if therapy ever stops unexpectedly, and the vent keeps releasing air even if it becomes partly blocked.

Soft Memory Foam Seal

The UltraSoft memory foam cushion adapts to your facial contours and spreads contact pressure over a wider area than rigid silicone, for a soft, personalized seal.

Works With Your CPAP or Bilevel Machine

Set your machine's mask type to Full Face during setup, and this mask pairs with standard CPAP pressure as well as higher bilevel settings.

FAQs

Do I need a prescription for the AirTouch F20?

Yes. This is a full face CPAP mask, and we require a valid prescription before we can ship it, just like any ResMed mask.

What comes in the box?

The Complete Mask includes the frame with soft sleeves, the UltraSoft memory foam cushion in your chosen size, the elbow with the quick-release connector and anti-asphyxia valve, and headgear with magnetic clips. The Assembly Kit (No Headgear) includes everything except the headgear, for anyone who already has compatible headgear.

Does the AirTouch F20 contain magnets? Is it safe with a pacemaker?

Yes, it contains magnets. The frame and lower headgear straps use magnetic clips with a field strength up to 400 mT. This mask is not safe for you, or for anyone who sleeps close to you, if either of you has a pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, cerebral spinal fluid shunt, insulin pump, or another magnetic or ferromagnetic implant. Keep the mask's magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from any implant or device that magnets could affect, and check with your doctor or the device manufacturer if you are unsure.

What is the difference between the AirTouch F20 and the AirFit F20?

Both use the same frame. The AirTouch F20 uses a memory foam cushion that molds to your face, while the AirFit F20 uses a silicone InfinitySeal cushion that holds its shape. Foam tends to feel softer on sensitive skin; silicone typically needs replacing less often. Because the frame is shared, the cushions are interchangeable between the two masks.

Can I put the AirFit F20 silicone cushion on this mask?

Yes. The AirTouch F20 and AirFit F20 use the same frame, so the silicone InfinitySeal cushion attaches directly if you decide you want a firmer seal than foam.

Can I wash the memory foam cushion?

No, not in water. Wipe the outside of the cushion with alcohol-free wipes and let it air dry. Rinsing or submerging it can damage the foam, so the frame, elbow, and headgear are the parts you rinse or wash as normal.

How often should I replace the AirTouch F20 cushion?

About once a month. Memory foam breaks down faster than silicone with regular use, so replacing it monthly keeps the seal consistent and the mask hygienic.

What sizes does the AirTouch F20 come in?

The Standard version comes in Small, Medium, and Large. The For Her version uses a frame and headgear built for a smaller facial profile and is available in Small and Medium. You can pick either directly from the Style options on this page.

Is the AirTouch F20 good for sensitive skin?

Yes. The memory foam cushion conforms to your face and spreads contact pressure over a wider area than rigid silicone, which is designed to reduce facial marks and redness.

Can I read or watch TV while wearing this mask?

Yes. The frame sits under your eyes with no bar across your forehead, so your field of view stays open for reading, watching TV, or wearing glasses before you fall asleep.

Does this mask work if I breathe through my mouth?

Yes. The AirTouch F20 covers your nose and mouth in a single seal, so therapy keeps working whether you breathe through your nose, your mouth, or switch between the two overnight.

How loud is the AirTouch F20?

It is rated at 30 dBA sound power and 23 dBA sound pressure under ISO 4871, which is quiet enough that most bed partners stop noticing it after the first few nights.

What pressure range does the AirTouch F20 support?

It supports therapy pressures from 3 to 40 cm H2O, covering standard CPAP settings as well as higher bilevel pressures.

Is the AirTouch F20 latex-free?

Yes. It is not made with natural rubber latex, PVC, or phthalates such as DEHP, DBP, or BBP.

Is the AirTouch F20 FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes. The AirTouch F20 qualifies as an FSA/HSA eligible expense.
