The CPAP gear worth buying on Black Friday starts with the big-ticket items: a travel or home CPAP machine and a new mask.
Then come the little upgrades that make every night easier, like a mask-focused CPAP pillow, a CPAP pillow made for mask wearers, a hose lift so they're not wrestling the tubing, soft mask liners, heated tubing, a travel bag or battery for the frequent flyer, and a stash of fresh replacement supplies. [1]
We built this list from what CPAP users actually buy from us during the holidays and what our respiratory therapists recommend.

Can you buy a CPAP machine or mask as a gift?
Yes, but only with the CPAP user's prescription. CPAP machines, masks, and humidifiers are prescription devices, so Sleeplay needs a valid prescription in the user's name on file before they can fill the order. It allows up to 7 business days after ordering to ship it. Tubing, cushions, mask parts, and pillows don't require a prescription.
Sleeplay's own policy sets the timeline. It "allows up to 7 business days after your order was placed to receive your RX prescription," and it fills the order once the prescription is on file. [1]
Every prescription must include "the patient's name, the prescribing physician's full name, the physician's contact information and the physician's signature." [1] Federal rules sit behind this. A prescription device may be sold only "on the prescription or other order" of a licensed practitioner. [2]
A surprise machine or mask is risky for two reasons. The user's clinician sets the prescription and pressure settings. Mask fit is personal too, from the size to whether it is nasal or full face. Someone who already knows their exact mask and size is the exception.
Here is how the line falls. Machines, masks, and humidifiers need a prescription, while filters, tubing, water chambers, mask parts, and cushions do not. [1] CPAP pillows and the other items below carry no prescription tag on their Sleeplay product pages.
| No prescription needed | Prescription needed (in the user's name) |
|---|---|
| CPAP pillows, hose holders, hose covers, mask liners, chinstraps | CPAP and APAP machines (AirMini, AirSense 11, Transcend Micro) |
| Heated tubing, filters, water chambers, mask cushions and parts | CPAP masks (complete masks) |
| Travel bags and cases, batteries, HumidX cartridges (sold on Sleeplay without a prescription) | CPAP humidifiers |
| Cleaning kits, mask wipes, sleep earbuds, sleep masks |
If their prescription is old or lost, RxExpress Online CPAP Prescription Renewal ($35.00) renews it online with a licensed physician. Per the product page, you are eligible if you were diagnosed with sleep apnea within the last 10 years and are currently using CPAP. For a closer look at what you can and can't buy without a prescription, our guide covers the rest.
How to see Sleeplay's Black Friday prices

What is a good gift for someone with sleep apnea?
A good gift fixes a nightly CPAP annoyance they already complain about: a hose that pulls, a mask that leaves red marks, water in the tube, or packing for trips. Match the gift to that problem and to their machine. Skip surprise machines, masks, and automated cleaners, which require input or aren't necessary.
Start with what bothers them at night. It might be pulling the hose, a leaking mask, dry mouth, packing for trips, or a partner who stays awake. Our CPAP accessories guide covers which CPAP accessories are worth it, and the comfort collection lets you browse every CPAP comfort accessory in one place.
Two things belong on the skip list. A surprise machine or mask is risky because prescription, settings, and fit are personal, so read the prescription section above first. An automated CPAP cleaner is the other skip, and the cleaner section below explains why.
Before you buy: check their machine and mask
Many CPAP accessories fit only one machine or mask type, so check the brand and model on your machine and whether your mask is nasal, nasal pillows, or full face. The ClimateLineAir 11 fits only AirSense 11 and AirCurve 11 machines, and HumidX cartridges fit only the AirMini with specific masks.
You can check both in about 30 seconds without spoiling the surprise. The machine model is printed on the device. The mask type is easy to spot: the cushion sits under the nose, the pillows sit inside the nostrils, or the cushion covers the nose and mouth. If you're in doubt, pick a universal item from the table below.

CPAP comfort gear to buy on Black Friday
CPAP users most often notice a CPAP pillow with mask cutouts, a hose lift that keeps the tubing off the bed, fabric mask liners to prevent red marks and leaks, and heated tubing or a hose cover to prevent rainout. All of it works without a prescription, so it is easy to buy on Black Friday.
Lunderg Memory Foam CPAP Pillow: Best for side sleepers
The Lunderg Memory Foam CPAP Pillow has contoured cutouts and comes in two neck sizes. It works with all mask types (nasal, nasal pillows, full face, and hybrid) and suits side, back, and stomach sleepers. A removable 1.1-inch foam layer adjusts the height, and it includes two pillowcases, one of which is cooling.
Someone who prefers a softer, down-style pillow might like the Down Alternative Parkin CPAP Pillow ($69.95). It has contoured cutouts, a memory foam base, and extra filling to adjust the height. To compare more CPAP pillows, read our pillow guide or shop the CPAP pillow collection.
Price: $79.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
Best in Rest Premium CPAP Hose Lift: Best for restless sleepers
The Best in Rest Premium CPAP Hose Lift has an adjustable arm that moves and extends with the sleeper. That way, the hose is not pulled or tugged when they turn over.
On a smaller budget, the Original CPAP Hose Holder ($15.95) cuts hose noise and keeps the hose and mask organized after every use. You can see more hose holders in our roundup.
Price: $35.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
Snugz mask liners: Best for red marks and noisy leaks
Snugz liners are reusable fabric liners that sit between the cushion and the skin to help stop air leaks. They are latex-free, silicone-free, machine washable, and made in the USA. Plan to replace them every 1 to 2 months.
There are two versions: one for nasal masks and one for full face masks. Our mask liner guide explains how mask liners help, and you can see all mask liners in one collection.
Price: $30.00 for two (checked October 5, 2026).
ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tube: Best for rainout and dry air (AirSense 11 owners only)
The ClimateLineAir 11 Heated Tube warms the air in the tube so moisture does not condense into droplets. It was one of our top holiday sellers in 2025. It works with AirSense 11 machines only. Lilly's fix for rainout is short and to the point: "Use heated tubing. Add a hose wrap."
For any other machine, the Snugell CPAP Hose Cover ($11.99) insulates the hose instead. It is a 6-foot fleece sleeve with a zipper. Our rainout guide explains why water collects in the hose.
Price: $46.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
ResMed Premium Sullivan Chinstrap: Best for mouth breathers on a nasal mask
The ResMed Premium Sullivan Chinstrap supports the jaw to keep the mouth closed. That helps reduce mouth leaks and dry mouth. Keep one caution in mind: a chinstrap supports nasal breathing and is not a comprehensive sleep apnea treatment or snoring fix on its own.
If you're not sure it's the right fit, compare chin straps in our guide first.
Price: $18.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
"CPAP specific pillows have cutouts or contour shapes that reduce [mask] shifting, improve seal quality, align your neck and spine, make side sleeping dramatically more comfortable. Once people switch, they rarely go back."
— Lilly Perez, Respiratory Therapist, Sleeplay
"If you toss and turn or if your tubing constantly pulls your mask out of place, a hose holder is a game changer."
— Lilly Perez, Respiratory Therapist, Sleeplay
"If your mask leaks around the cushion or if you wake up with red marks, a mask liner can change everything."
— Lilly Perez, Respiratory Therapist, Sleeplay
CPAP supplies to buy on Black Friday
Replacement supplies are the most practical CPAP buy on Black Friday: mask cushions, filters, water chambers, and tubing wear out with use, and they were among our holiday top sellers last year. None needs a prescription, but each must match the exact mask model and size or the exact machine, so check their gear first.
Replacement cushions, filters, and water chambers, including HumidAir chambers for the AirSense 10 and 11, were among our holiday 2025 top sellers. Our policy lists "filters, tubing, water chambers, mask parts, cushions" as items that do not require a prescription. [1] That only works if you match the exact mask model and cushion size, or the exact machine for filters and water chambers.
When you know what they use, shop CPAP replacement supplies in the collection. Our guide on when to replace CPAP supplies shows how often to replace each part.
Travel CPAP gear to buy on Black Friday
Worth buying on Black Friday: a bag or case for your machine, waterless HumidX cartridges for an AirMini, a travel-size CPAP pillow, or a battery for camping, flights, and power outages. Check the machine first: AirMini and Transcend Micro bags fit only those machines.
AirMini Premium Carry Bag: Best for AirMini owners
The AirMini Premium Carry Bag has zippered compartments, padded dividers, and a hard-shell section for the AirMini. It also fits accessories and a mask, plus a handle, a removable shoulder strap, and a suitcase strap. It came in close behind our top 2025 holiday sellers.
For a smaller option, the ResMed Travel Case for AirMini ($27.00) is a form-fitting case for the machine only.
Price: $62.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
HumidX Plus: Best for AirMini users who want to skip distilled water
HumidX Plus is a waterless humidification cartridge. It captures heat and moisture from each exhale and releases it on the next breath. Replace each cartridge within 30 days of opening. It fits only the AirFit N20 and AirFit P10 for AirMini.
Price: $62.00 for a 6-pack ($13.00 single, $37.00 3-pack) (checked October 5, 2026).
Travel-Size Memory Foam CPAP Pillow: Best for hotels and road trips
The Travel-Size Memory Foam CPAP Pillow is a compact 19 x 11 inch contoured pillow for all mask types. It has a removable foam layer and comes with a travel bag that clips to luggage.
Price: $49.95 (checked October 5, 2026).
Transcend SleepPak Travel Bag: Best for Transcend Micro owners
The Transcend SleepPak Travel Bag holds the machine, tubing, mask, muffler, and power supplies. It measures 12 x 9 x 5 inches.
Price: $55.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite: Best for camping, flights, and power outages
The Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite is a lithium-ion backup for 24V machines, including the AirSense 11, AirSense 10, and AirMini. At average pressure with the humidifier and heated tube off, it lasts 1 to 2 nights. It also works as an uninterruptible backup if the power cuts out overnight.
At about 19,000 mAh, it has a USB port for a phone, which matters because our respiratory therapist Oswald Azua (Ozzy) advises choosing a battery that can also charge a phone, tablet, or laptop. Here is how he makes the case for a battery:
"if you want to make sure that you don't miss a minute of your therapy then a cpap battery will be a great investment for you"
— Oswald Azua (Ozzy), Respiratory Therapist, Sleeplay
Price: $339.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
To weigh your options, compare CPAP batteries in our battery guide or shop the CPAP battery collection. If a trip involves a plane, our flying guide covers TSA and airline rules for CPAP, and you can see every CPAP travel bag and case in one collection. For the travel machines themselves, see the machine and mask section near the top of this guide.
Gifts for the bed partner
When one person snores or sleeps with a CPAP, the other person loses sleep too, putting household sleep health at risk. Noise-masking sleep earbuds for side sleepers and a blackout sleep mask are no-prescription gifts for the partner that fit any household. If the snorer has never been tested, see the home sleep test section.
Ozlo Sleepbuds 2: Best for a partner kept awake by snoring
The Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 are 1.6 g earbuds that sit flush for side sleeping. Their noise masking is tuned for snoring, and they come with 50+ sleep sounds and a 14-hour battery. An in-ear alarm wakes only the wearer.
Price: $279.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
Ozlo Sleep Mask: Best for light sleepers
The Ozlo Sleep Mask has blackout 3D eye cups that keep fabric off the eyes. The strap is adjustable and friendly for side sleepers.
Price: $29.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
Our guide has more ways to sleep next to a snorer.
CPAP stocking stuffers under $25
Small CPAP gifts under $25 include a fleece hose cover, a simple hose holder, a chinstrap for mouth breathers on a nasal mask, and travel packs of CPAP mask wipes. None require a prescription, and most fit any machine. Check the mask type before buying a chinstrap.

Is a CPAP cleaner worth buying on Black Friday?
We don't recommend an automated CPAP cleaner as a Black Friday buy. The FDA says that "these machines are not necessary to clean your CPAP," and most parts clean with mild soap and water as the owner's manual describes. [6] A better pick is a simple kit with a wash basin, brushes, and a hose hanger. Our ozone and UV cleaner guide explains what the FDA says about ozone and UV cleaners.
CPAP Clean Start Kit: Best for soap-and-water cleaning
The CPAP Clean Start Kit includes a dedicated wash basin, a 2-piece brush set (long for hoses, short for mask parts), and a hose hanger with a suction cup. For add-ons, see more CPAP cleaning accessories.
Price: $27.95 (checked October 5, 2026).
A gift for someone who snores but hasn't been tested
If someone you love snores loudly, gasps at night, or is always tired and has never been tested, a home sleep test can be a caring gift, if they want it. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends home testing for adults with signs of moderate to severe sleep apnea and no complicating conditions. [5]
The AASM guideline recommends polysomnography "or home sleep apnea testing with a technically adequate device" for "uncomplicated adult patients presenting with signs and symptoms that indicate an increased risk of moderate to severe OSA." [5] It also sets limits. If a single home test is negative or inconclusive, the guideline recommends an in-lab study. An in-lab study is preferred over home testing for people with significant heart or lung disease, neuromuscular weakness, opioid use, a history of stroke, or severe insomnia.
NightOwl Home Sleep Test: Best for a multi-night test
The NightOwl Home Sleep Test is for adults 22 and older. It starts with an online questionnaire and a virtual consultation with a licensed physician, who orders the test. You wear a fingertip sensor for up to 10 nights. A physician then reviews the data and, if they diagnose sleep apnea, provides a prescription.
Price: $99.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
WatchPAT One: Best for a single-night wrist test
The WatchPAT One is a single-use wrist-worn test. It records breathing events, heart rate, oxygen levels, snoring, body position, and sleep stages. The results go to a provider as a detailed medical report, with a prescription if needed.
Price: $139.00 (checked October 5, 2026).
The test only helps if the person wants to take it, so talk with them first. When you're both on board, compare home sleep tests in our breakdown or shop home sleep tests in the collection.
"For most people with signs of OSA, like loud snoring, gasping, or daytime fatigue, a home sleep test is the first easiest step to take."
— Daniel Feldman, Sleeplay
Use your FSA or HSA on Black Friday
Black Friday comes about five weeks before December 31, when calendar-year FSA plans end, so check your balance if you are buying CPAP equipment for yourself. The IRS says FSAs are generally use-it-or-lose-it unless the plan offers a grace period of up to 2.5 months or a carryover. HSA balances carry over. [3]
In the IRS's words, "FSAs are generally 'use-it-or-lose-it' plans," and "the plan can provide for either a grace period or a carryover." [3] For tax years beginning in 2026, the maximum carryover is $680 if your plan allows one. [4]
Our HSA and FSA guide shows how to use HSA and FSA funds for CPAP, and the collection lets you shop FSA- and HSA-eligible items. Check the collection for eligibility on each item.
"if you have the option of FSA or HSA I would take advantage of your tax advantage savings"
— James Curles, Sleep Coach, Sleeplay
The bottom line
The best Black Friday gifts for CPAP users make CPAP easier to live with: a pillow that fits around the mask, a hose that stays out of the way, liners that prevent red marks, and a bag that protects their machine. Check their machine and mask first, and buy machines or masks only with their prescription.
When you're ready, see Sleeplay's Black Friday picks or browse every CPAP accessory. Shopping for an occasion instead? Our sleep gifts for Dad and sleep gifts for Mom guides have more ideas.
When is Black Friday 2026?
Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving. Check your retailer's website or sign in to your account to see Black Friday pricing.
How do I see Sleeplay's Black Friday prices?
Sign in to your Sleeplay account, or create one if you do not have one, and open the Black Friday collection. Black Friday pricing shows only to signed-in customers.
What CPAP gear is worth buying on Black Friday?
Prioritize gear the user will use every night: a CPAP pillow, a hose lift, mask liners, heated tubing, a travel bag or battery for their machine, and replacement supplies that match their specific mask and machine type.
Can I buy a CPAP machine on Black Friday without a prescription?
No. CPAP machines, masks, and humidifiers require a valid prescription in the user's name. You can place the order and submit the prescription within 7 business days. The retailer will fill the order once a valid prescription is on file.
What is a good gift for someone with sleep apnea?
Choose something that makes CPAP nights easier: a CPAP pillow, a hose holder, mask liners, heated tubing, or a travel bag for their machine. These require no prescription. For someone who snores but has never been tested, a home sleep test is a thoughtful alternative gift.
Can you buy a CPAP machine as a gift?
Only with the recipient's prescription. CPAP machines, masks, and humidifiers are prescription devices, so a valid prescription in the recipient's name must be on file before the order is filled, within 7 business days of ordering.
Do you need a prescription for a CPAP mask?
Yes, you need a prescription for a complete mask with headgear. Replacement cushions and mask parts do not require a prescription, and neither do pillows, tubing, filters, water chambers, or other accessories.
What CPAP gifts do not need a prescription?
CPAP pillows, hose holders and covers, mask liners, chinstraps, heated tubing, travel bags, batteries, HumidX cartridges, cleaning kits, and mask wipes all ship without a prescription. Make sure each item fits the recipient's specific machine or mask type.
What is the best CPAP gift for a frequent traveler?
A protective carrying bag designed for their specific machine, such as a premium travel case, plus humidification cartridges for their model. A portable CPAP battery such as the Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite helps on camping trips and provides backup during power outages.
Is a CPAP cleaner a good gift?
We do not recommend an automated CPAP cleaner as a gift. A kit with a wash basin, brushes, and a hose hanger supports the mild soap-and-water cleaning described in the device owner's manual. Automated cleaners are not necessary for proper CPAP hygiene.
Can I use my FSA for CPAP supplies?
Often, yes. Many retailers mark FSA and HSA eligible items in a dedicated collection. FSA funds typically follow a use-it-or-lose-it rule unless your specific plan has a grace period or carryover option. If your FSA runs on the calendar year, Black Friday is a good time to check your balance.
What is a good stocking stuffer for a CPAP user?
A fleece hose cover, a simple hose holder, a chinstrap for someone using a nasal mask, or travel packs of CPAP mask wipes are all good options. These items are typically under $25 and none requires a prescription.
How do I know if a CPAP accessory fits their machine?
Check the brand and model printed on their CPAP machine and identify whether their mask is a nasal, nasal pillow, or full face style. Heated tubes, humidification cartridges, and travel bags fit specific machines. Pillows, hose holders, and hose covers fit most setups.
