Starting with the Fit Pack? Sleep on the Medium cushion first. It comes fitted. If air leaks around the pillows or they press inside your nostrils, switch to Small or Large; you may need to try more than one size to get the best fit.
Wear the Nova Micro as loose as it will seal. Place the pillows in your nose, pull the headgear over your head with the back straps spread apart, then adjust the side straps gently. If it leaks, lift the cushion away and reseat it instead of tightening. Our nasal pillows breathing guide helps first-timers.
Breathe into the mask or press the power button to start therapy. SleepStart turns the Micro on when you breathe in, and Auto Stop ends the session after you take the mask off. Your Micro arrives with ramp turned on: when the ramp light glows blue, therapy starts at a lower pressure and rises as you fall asleep. You can change ramp settings in the MySleepDash app.
Congested nose before a trip? Call your provider. Nasal pillows depend on clear nasal breathing, and therapy may be compromised when your airway is congested. Your provider may suggest a different mask for those nights.
Wash the cushion and frame after every use, the headgear once a week. Hand-wash in soap dissolved in lukewarm water, soak no longer than 10 minutes, rinse well and air-dry out of direct sun. Skip the dishwasher and any cleaner with alcohol, bleach or moisturizer.
Replace Nova Micro parts on schedule. Replace the cushion every 14 days, the frame every 3 months and the headgear every 6 months, or sooner if a part leaks, tears, discolors or stretches out. Reorder Nova Micro cushions and Nova Micro headgear as needed.
Change the PureFresh filter at least every three months. It sits under the filter cover on the Micro. Keep spare Transcend Micro PureFresh filters in your bag; they fit the original Micro, not the 510.
Clean the hose and muffler weekly and swap them every three months. The WhisperSoft muffler kit brings a new muffler plus a 6 ft AirFlex hose for the original Micro.
Flying? Carry it on and switch Bluetooth off in the air. The Micro is FAA compliant for in-flight use, but airline rules vary, so confirm CPAP and seat power rules with your carrier before you pack.
Plan power for camping or long flights. The Micro has no built-in battery. The Transcend Micro PowerAway battery runs it for up to 17.5 hours in most cases, less at higher pressure or with leaks. Overseas, bring a plug adapter for the outlet shape.
Dry air in planes or hotels? Add humidity without water. The Transcend AirMist kit is sold separately; replace each cartridge after 3 to 7 days of use.
Optional add-on, sold separately. Our Transcend Micro travel pouch is not included in this bundle.
Have your prescription ready. The machine and the mask are prescription devices, so have your prescription ready at checkout or work with our team to get one on file. The Micro carries a 2-year device warranty (90 days on accessories), and the Nova Micro mask has a 90-day warranty.
