Which machines does this tube work with?

It works with the Fisher and Paykel ICON and ICON+ series, including the Novo, Premo, and Auto. It is not compatible with the SleepStyle or any non-ICON machine.

Is this the same tube as the SleepStyle ThermoSmart hose?

No. The SleepStyle uses a different ThermoSmart tube with its own connector and part number. This one is made for the ICON series only and is not interchangeable.

How does ThermoSmart prevent rainout?

A heated wire keeps the tube warm so the air holds its humidity all the way to your mask. In an unheated hose that warm, humid air cools and turns into water, which is what causes rainout.

Will I still get the humidity benefit?

Yes. Because the air stays warm to the mask, your humidity feels steady through the night instead of drying out as the room cools, and you get far less condensation in the tube.

How do I clean it?

Unplug the tube at both ends, wash it with mild soap and warm water, rinse, and hang it to air dry fully before reconnecting.

Can I remove the heated coil?

No. The heating wire is built into the tube and cannot be removed. The tube itself detaches from the machine and the mask for cleaning.

How often should I replace it?

About every six months, or sooner if you notice cracks, discoloration, or a drop in performance.

What is the insurance code for this tube?

It is HCPCS A4604, the code for tubing with an integrated heating element used with a positive airway pressure device.

Is it FSA/HSA eligible?
