Which machine does this tube fit?

It fits the Fisher and Paykel SleepStyle 600 series, including the SleepStyle 604 and 608. It does not fit the newer SleepStyle Auto, the ICON, or any other brand.

Is this the same as the SleepStyle Auto tube?

No. The newer SleepStyle Auto uses a different AirSpiral tube with its own connector and part number. This one is made for the 600 series only and is not interchangeable.

How does the heated tube prevent rainout?

The heated wire keeps the tube warm so the humid air holds its moisture to your mask. In an unheated hose that warm air cools and turns into water, which is what causes rainout.

Will it help with dryness and congestion?

Yes. Because the air stays warm and moist to your mask, the humidity feels steadier through the night, which helps with the dryness and stuffiness that cool, condensation-prone air can cause.

How do I clean it?

Unplug the tube at both ends, wash it with mild soap and warm water, rinse, and hang it to air dry fully before reconnecting.

Can I remove the heated coil?

No. The heating wire is built into the tube and cannot be removed. The tube itself detaches from the machine and the mask for cleaning.

How often should I replace it?

Replace it when it looks worn or damaged, typically somewhere between six months and a year.

What is the insurance code?

It is HCPCS A4604, the code for tubing with an integrated heating element used with a positive airway pressure device.
