Seat the seal first, then pull the headgear over. Gently spread the soft side wings, guide the two openings into your nostrils, hold the frame with one hand and pull the headgear over your head by the strap marked Brevida. Loosen the straps until the seal feels comfortable, then tighten slightly.
Check the seal with the Micro running. The seal should inflate with air, and its openings should not be folded inward; flick them out with a fingertip if they are. If air leaks, lift the seal off your nose and reposition it before you tighten anything.
If therapy does not start when you breathe, press the power button. SleepStart may not trigger with every mask configuration, so starting with the button is the reliable fallback.
Wash the mask after each use, and the headgear and diffuser weekly. Hand-wash in mild soap and lukewarm water, do not soak longer than 10 minutes, and dry out of direct sunlight. Skip the dishwasher and any cleaner with alcohol, anti-bacterial agents, antiseptic, bleach, chlorine or moisturizer.
Replace worn parts before they fail on a trip. Replace the mask no later than 12 months after first use, and any part sooner if it cracks, discolors or tears. Brevida headgear and headgear clips are sold on their own.
Swap the PureFresh filter at least every three months. It sits under the filter cover and is not washed. Pack spare PureFresh filters; they fit the original Micro only, not the Micro 510.
Dry the hose each morning and clean it weekly. Run Drying Mode before you pack, and wash the hose and muffler weekly. Both have a three-month service life, and the WhisperSoft muffler kit replaces the muffler and the 6 ft AirFlex hose together.
Flying? Bluetooth off, button on. The Micro is FAA compliant; on board, disable Bluetooth, do not use the app and start with the power button. Transcend offers an air travel compliance letter, and some airlines do not count medical devices toward carry-on limits.
Abroad, bring plug adapters, not a converter. The AC adapter accepts 100 to 240 V, so you only need the right plug shape, such as our Transcend Micro travel adapters. After a power cut, the Micro restarts therapy on its own.
No outlet at the campsite? Add a battery. The Micro has no built-in battery. The Transcend Micro PowerAway battery works with the original Micro for up to 17.5 hours; real runtime depends on your pressure, leak and altitude.
Waking up with a dry nose? The original Micro does not include humidification. The optional AirMist humidification starter pack adds waterless humidity; replace each cartridge after 3 to 7 days of use.
Optional add-on, sold separately. Our Transcend Micro travel pouch is not included in this bundle.
Have your prescription ready. The Micro and the Brevida are prescription devices. The Micro carries a 2-year device warranty (90 days on its accessories), the Brevida a 90-day warranty (diffuser excluded), and the bundle is FSA/HSA eligible.
