CPAP Mask Buying Guide

Adjust the headgear evenly on both sides until the mask feels snug, not tight. Overtightening will not improve the seal and can cause pressure marks.
Position the AdaptiSeal cushion just under your nostrils before you tighten the straps. It is designed to seal there, not up over the bridge of your nose.
The magnetic clips on the frame and lower headgear should snap together easily. Keep the mask's magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other implanted device. Use the quick-release elbow to disconnect from your hose without pulling the whole mask off your face, useful for a quick trip out of bed.
If you notice leaks, reposition the mask before tightening the headgear further. Most leaks come from placement, not strap tension.
Clean the cushion and frame daily with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap to remove facial oils.
Use CPAP mask wipes for a fast clean when you do not have time for a full wash, especially while traveling.
Wash the headgear weekly by hand in warm, soapy water, then let it air dry away from direct sunlight to protect the elastic.
Let every part dry completely before you reassemble the mask, since trapped moisture can affect the seal and shorten the cushion's life.
Replace the AdaptiSeal cushion about once a month to keep the seal tight and hygienic.
Replace the headgear about every 6 months, since the fabric stretches with regular washing and use.

Run a CPAP tube and mask brush set through the inside of your tubing regularly to clear out buildup.
