Overview

The React Ultra-Soft nasal cannula is built for comfortable, low-flow oxygen therapy. React makes the tubing exceptionally soft where it rests around the face and ears, which minimizes the friction and shear forces on the skin that can cause irritation during long daily wear.

The nasal prongs are slightly curved to add comfort and help them sit in proper alignment, and a sliding bolo ring lets you adjust the fit to keep the cannula secure as you move. The included 7-foot oxygen supply tube is clear and crush-resistant with a standard connector, so it keeps oxygen flowing and is easy to see and track around the home.

This is a low-flow cannula rated up to 6 liters per minute. It connects to the standard oxygen outlet on most home and portable units. You can see compatible equipment in our home concentrators and portable concentrators collections.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Insert the prongs so they curve downward into your nostrils, bring the tubing over each ear, then slide the bolo ring up under your chin to adjust the fit.
  • Use the sliding bolo ring to keep the cannula secure as you move, but do not cinch it so tight that it presses on your skin.
  • Connect the standard connector to your oxygen source. You can see compatible units in our Oxygen Therapy collection.
  • This is a low-flow cannula rated up to 6 LPM. It is not a high-flow cannula, so do not use it for therapy that needs 6 to 15 LPM.
  • Replace the cannula regularly. A common guide is every 14 days, or sooner if it becomes soiled or discolored or the prongs stiffen. Follow your provider's guidance.
  • If your nose or throat feels dry during oxygen therapy, adding a humidifier bottle to your concentrator can help add moisture.

The nasal prongs are slightly curved to add comfort and proper alignment, and a sliding bolo ring lets you adjust the fit to keep the cannula secure while you move.

7-Foot Clear Crush-Resistant Tubing

The 7 foot oxygen supply tube is clear and crush-resistant with a standard connector, so oxygen keeps flowing and the line is easy to see and follow around the home.
React Ultra-Soft Nasal Cannula with 7 ft Tubing

Built for Low-Flow Oxygen up to 6 LPM

This cannula is rated for low-flow oxygen therapy up to 6 liters per minute. It is not a high-flow cannula.

5-Channel Supply Tubing

The supply tube uses a 5-channel design, which helps keep the oxygen path open if the line is bent or pinned.

Standard Connector End

The supply tube ends in a standard connector, so it fits the standard oxygen outlet found on most home and portable concentrators.

Designed for Extended Wear

The soft tubing and slightly curved prongs are designed for comfort during extended wear, sitting softly behind the ears and on the face.

FAQs

Do I need a prescription to buy this nasal cannula?

No. A nasal cannula is an oxygen-therapy supply and is not prescription-gated at Sleeplay. Your oxygen and flow settings are prescribed by your provider, but the cannula itself is sold as a replacement accessory.

What is included?

One React Ultra-Soft nasal cannula with slightly curved prongs, a sliding bolo ring, and a 7 foot clear crush-resistant supply tube with a standard connector.

What is a nasal cannula?

A nasal cannula is a thin, flexible tube with two short prongs that rest in the nostrils to deliver supplemental oxygen from an oxygen source such as a concentrator.

How does a nasal cannula work?

The cannula connects to an oxygen source, which sends oxygen through the tubing and out the prongs into your nostrils, where it mixes with the air you breathe.

Will it fit my oxygen concentrator?

In most cases, yes. It uses a standard connector that fits the standard oxygen outlet on most home and portable concentrators running up to 6 LPM.

Is this a high-flow cannula?

No. It is rated for low-flow oxygen up to 6 liters per minute. If your concentrator runs 6 to 15 LPM, you need a high-flow cannula instead.

What is the bolo ring for?

The bolo ring is a small slider on the tubing. Move it up toward your chin to tighten the fit or down to loosen it, which helps keep the cannula in place as you move.

Should the prongs point up or down?

Down. Position the slightly curved prongs so they follow the natural curve of your nostrils pointing downward, then loop the tubing over your ears.

How do I care for it and how often should I replace it?

Clean the cannula regularly with mild soap and water. A common guide is to replace a disposable cannula every 14 days, or sooner if it becomes soiled or discolored or the prongs stiffen. Follow your provider's guidance.

How long is the tubing?

The oxygen supply tube is 7 feet, and the total cannula length is about 8.5 feet including the bolo. This gives you room to move around near your oxygen source.
