Important Tips

  • This cushion is only compatible with the Amara View Full Face Mask, not interchangeable with other CPAP masks.
  • Always check the size indicator at the bottom of the cushion (S, M, L) to match your frame and ensure a proper seal.
  • Clean daily with gentle soap and warm water to keep the silicone flexible and clean.
  • Use CPAP wipes for quick cleaning between deep washes or while traveling.
  • Disinfect regularly with a CPAP sanitizer to eliminate bacteria and allergens effectively.
  • Handle gently to avoid small tears that can compromise therapy, especially around the nasal opening.
  • This cushion’s unique design fits under the nose and over the mouth, making it ideal for users who breathe through both pathways.
  • For a more comfortable seal, especially if you experience pressure marks, consider using mask liners.
  • Add strap covers to your headgear to reduce facial pressure and red lines.
  • Use a CPAP pillow if you sleep on your side—this helps maintain the cushion’s position and reduces leaks.
  • If you use a humidifier with your CPAP, always fill it with distilled water to prevent mineral buildup and prolong equipment life.
  • Find compatible replacement CPAP machines or headgear parts if your setup needs a refresh.
  • Unsure if Amara View is still your best fit? Take the mask finder quiz to explore options based on your sleep and comfort needs.

FAQs

What is a CPAP cushion?

A CPAP cushion is the soft, replaceable part of a CPAP mask that sits against your face, creating a seal to prevent air leaks.

What is the difference between a CPAP cushion and a CPAP pillow?

A CPAP cushion refers to the mask's sealing component, while a CPAP pillow is a specially designed bed pillow that supports CPAP users by reducing mask pressure and improving comfort.

How often should I replace my CPAP cushion?

Every 1-3 months or sooner if it shows wear, loses its seal, or causes leaks.

How do I clean my CPAP cushion?

Wash daily with mild soap and warm water to remove facial oils and prevent leaks.

Can I use a different cushion on my CPAP mask?

No, cushions are mask-specific and should be replaced with the same brand and model.

Why is my CPAP cushion leaking?

Common causes include worn-out cushions, improper fit, excessive facial oils, or a dirty cushion. Try adjusting the fit or replacing the cushion.

Which CPAP cushion type is best for me?

Nasal cushions for nose breathers, full-face cushions for mouth breathers, and nasal pillows for minimal facial contact.
