Overview

If straps and clips are what make you dread mask time, the F&P Solo Pillows takes them away: you stretch the headgear on in one motion, with nothing to buckle, and it locks itself in place while you sleep. That simplicity is worth even more when you are getting ready for bed in an unfamiliar room.

The soft AirPillows rest gently in and around your nostrils, so there is barely anything on your face and your view stays open. We pair it with the Luna TravelPAP, an auto-adjusting machine that fits in one hand, flies without fuss, and runs from a free app on your phone.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the Solo Pillows lying in your usual sleep position. Stretch the AutoFit headgear on first, then use a single touch to position the AirPillow cushion in and around your nostrils before starting the machine.
  • Let the machine reach working pressure before you judge whether the seal feels right. The AirPillow cushion settles under therapy pressure, so an impression with no airflow may not reflect the seal you will have during actual therapy.
  • If you wake with leaks, try repositioning the cushion with a light touch before tightening the headgear. Overtightening almost always makes leaks worse, not better.
  • The wider you split the gray and gold headgear straps at the back of your head, the more stable the fit. Anchor the gray strap at the base of your skull, then place the gold strap on top of your head.
  • The Solo Pillows is for nasal breathers only. If you breathe through your mouth or wake with a dry mouth, add a chin strap (sold separately) to keep your mouth closed during the night.
  • Rinse the AirPillow cushion, frame, short tube, and headgear daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry before reassembling. Replace the cushion approximately every 14 days, the frame every 3 months, and the headgear after 6 months.
  • Download the free LightTrip app and pair it over Bluetooth before your first night away. The machine has no screen, so the app is the easiest way to start therapy, adjust the ramp, and run a mask fit check.
  • Flying? Keep the machine in your carry-on, switch it to airplane mode with a double click of the Bluetooth button, and bring the FAA compliance letter in case your airline asks for documentation. Confirm your carrier's CPAP policy before you travel.
  • Check the disposable machine filter weekly and replace it about every 6 months. It is not washable. The box includes 3 filters, and replacement filters are available when you run out.
  • Planning nights away from wall power? Browse our power solutions and confirm with the accessory manufacturer that a given option works with your machine before you buy.
  • The included storage bag protects the machine between uses. If you want more structure and room for the tubing and power supply, a dedicated carrying case is available.

Product Features

Nasal Pillows Design

The F&P Solo Pillows Mask features pillows that sit both in and around each nostril. This design provides a more secure fit than traditional nasal masks cushions and also improves airflow, making your CPAP therapy more comfortable and effective.

World’s First AutoFit™ Mask

The AutoFit™ technology is a self-adjusting feature that adapts the mask to your facial contours, holding the mask in place through the night and eliminating the need for constant adjustments.

Minimalist Design for Maximum Comfort

The minimalist design of the F&P Solo Pillows Mask reduces bulk while maintaining an effective seal. The simplicity of this design results in a lightweight and comfortable mask that makes it easy to adapt to CPAP therapy.

No Magnets in the Mask

The F&P Solo Pillows contains no magnets anywhere in its assembly, so the FDA precaution for magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, and cochlear implants does not apply. The stretch-on design needs no metal fasteners at all. If you have an implanted medical device, ask your doctor about your specific device.

Try a Different Cushion Style on the Same Headgear

The Solo headgear works with both the Solo Pillows and the Solo Nasal cushion. If you want to switch from a pillow style to an under-nose style later, you swap the cushion on the headgear you already have.

Pressure That Follows Your Night, Not a Fixed Setting

In AutoCPAP mode the Luna TravelPAP raises and lowers pressure in small steps as your breathing changes, jet lag and all. You get the support you need in the moment rather than one setting chosen in advance.

Set Up and Adjust From Your Phone

There is no display on the machine. The free LightTrip app connects over Bluetooth to start and stop therapy, adjust the ramp, run a mask fit check, and review your nightly reports. The light ring on the device tells you at a glance that everything is running.

Plugs In Almost Anywhere You Land

The power supply accepts 100-240V, which covers the wall outlets in most of the world. Pack a plug-shape adapter for international trips and you are set. A DC adapter for car and RV outlets is available separately.

Easier Breathing Out With Reslex Relief

Reslex exhalation relief softens the airflow each time you breathe out, and the auto ramp builds pressure gradually while you fall asleep. Both make the first nights in a new time zone feel less like work.

FAQs

How does the AirPillow cushion seal, and how is it different from a standard nasal pillow?

The AirPillow cushion sits in and around the nostril opening rather than inserting deeply into the nasal passage the way older pillow designs do. The AirPillow sits in and around the nostril opening instead of deep inside it, which many people find gentler.

Which AirPillow cushion size do I need?

The Solo Pillows cushion comes in Small, Medium, and Large. If you are unsure, start with Medium and size down to Small if you feel discomfort inside the nostrils, or size up to Large if you experience persistent leaks at the sides. A Fit Pack with all three sizes is available so you can test each at home.

How is the Solo Pillows different from the Solo Nasal?

The Solo Pillows AirPillow cushion sits in and around the nostrils, while the Solo Nasal cushion sits under the nose in a cradle style and does not enter the nostrils. Both use the same AutoFit headgear, so you can switch between the pillows cushion and the nasal cushion without buying new headgear. Solo Pillows comes in Small, Medium, and Large. Solo Nasal adds a Wide size. The choice usually comes down to personal comfort preference.

Can I use the Solo Pillows if I breathe through my mouth at night?

No, not without an accessory. The Solo Pillows covers only the nose, so mouth breathing breaks the seal and reduces therapy effectiveness. A chin strap can help keep your mouth closed if you breathe through your mouth occasionally. If you are a consistent mouth breather, a full-face or hybrid mask is a better fit.

Is the Solo Pillows safe if I have a pacemaker or other implanted device?

The Solo Pillows has no magnets, so the FDA precaution about magnetic mask parts near implanted medical devices does not apply. If you have an implanted device, ask your doctor which mask is right for you. The F&P Solo Pillows contains no magnets in any part of its assembly. The FDA precautionary guidance about magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, cochlear implants, and similar devices does not apply to this mask. If you have an implanted medical device, ask your doctor about your specific device.

Can I take the Luna TravelPAP on a plane?

The Solo Pillows has no magnets, so the FDA precaution about magnetic mask parts near implanted medical devices does not apply. If you have an implanted device, ask your doctor which mask is right for you. The Luna TravelPAP meets FAA requirements for in-flight use, and an official compliance letter is available to show your airline if asked. A double click of the Bluetooth button turns on airplane mode. Airline policies can vary, so confirm your carrier's CPAP rules before you fly.

Does the Luna TravelPAP include a humidifier?

No. The Luna TravelPAP does not include humidification, which is part of how it stays so small and light. It also means there is no water to pack, fill, or empty on the road. If you rely on heated humidification at home and are prone to dryness, keep your home machine for nightly use and treat this one as your travel setup.

How do I adjust settings without a screen?

Through the free LightTrip app, which connects over Bluetooth on iOS and Android. The app handles start and stop, ramp, a mask fit check, therapy reports, and reminders. On the device itself, a light ring shows status: white during therapy and orange for an alert.

Will the Luna TravelPAP work with other masks I already own?

The Solo Pillows has no magnets, so the FDA precaution about magnetic mask parts near implanted medical devices does not apply. If you have an implanted device, ask your doctor which mask is right for you. It uses a standard 22 mm connection, so it works with any standard CPAP mask, including the Solo Pillows in this bundle. No adapters or proprietary parts are needed, and the included slim tubing connects the same way your home tubing does.

What is included in this bundle?

The bundle includes the Luna TravelPAP travel CPAP machine, its slim travel tube, a storage bag, three disposable filters, the AC power adapter, the user and quick start guides, and the F&P Solo Pillows mask in the size you select. No additional purchases are required to start therapy.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The Luna TravelPAP is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, contact us and we will point you to options for renewing it.

What warranty comes with the bundle?

The Luna TravelPAP carries a 2-year machine warranty, and the F&P Solo Pillows carries the 90-day Fisher and Paykel mask warranty, so the two are covered separately. Contact Fisher and Paykel for mask warranty claims and us for machine warranty support.
