At the end of that tube is the ResMed AirTouch F40, a minimalist full face mask with a fabric cushion that rests under your nose. It keeps the bridge of your nose free, and its magnetic clips let you take the mask off and put it back on without readjusting the straps.

Important Tips

  • Keep the heated tube connected all night. The ClimateLineAir tube holds the air at a consistent temperature to the mask, and that is what reduces rainout. When it wears out, reorder the ClimateLineAir heated tube for AirSense 10.
  • Choose Pillows as the mask setting. On the AirSense 10, set the mask type to 'Pillows' for the AirTouch F40, even though it is a full face mask, so the machine matches the mask.
  • Change comfort settings in My Options. You can set Ramp Time (Off, 5 to 45 minutes, or Auto), Humidity Level (Off or 1 to 8) and Pressure Relief when your provider has enabled it. Leave the pressure range to your provider.
  • Use AirSense 10 filters, not Air11. Air11 filters do not fit this machine. Replace the AirSense 10 standard filter at least every 6 months, or sooner if it looks dirty or blocked, since a clogged filter reduces airflow and can add noise.
  • Swap the cushion monthly to renew the vent. The QuietAir vent is part of the cushion, so a fresh ComfiSoft cushion every month also gives you a fresh vent. The frame system follows every 3 months; our guide on when to replace CPAP supplies covers the rest.
  • Read the magnet warning before first use. The AirTouch F40 has magnets in the frame and lower headgear clips. If an implant or medical device rules them out for you or a bed partner, compare full face CPAP masks without magnets or the wider full face mask collection.

A built-in cellular modem sends your therapy data to the myAir app automatically, with no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth pairing. Therapy runs normally with no signal, and your data simply uploads once coverage returns.

Does the AirTouch F40 mask contain magnets?

Yes. This mask contains magnets that may interfere with certain implants or medical devices. Please refer to the User Guide for complete labeling information, including magnet contraindications and warnings. The magnets are in the frame and lower headgear clips, with a magnetic field strength of up to 400 mT. Keep the mask at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from implants or medical devices that may be affected by magnetic interference, and the same applies to anyone in close physical contact with you. It is contraindicated with active implants that interact with magnets, such as pacemakers, ICDs, neurostimulators, CSF shunts and insulin or infusion pumps, and with ferromagnetic metallic implants such as aneurysm clips or flow disruption devices, embolic coils, stents, valves, electrodes, hearing or balance implants with magnets, ocular implants and metallic splinters in the eye. The mask is MR unsafe.

How do I clean the fabric AirTouch F40 cushion?

By hand, without a bristle brush. Wash the cushion, elbow, short tube and vent ring daily in warm water with a mild liquid detergent, rinse, squeeze the fabric and air dry out of direct sunlight. Ozone or UV cleaning products have not been validated for this mask and may discolor or damage it.

Can I use this bundle outside the US?

Yes. The AirSense 10 power supply is auto-sensing and accepts 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 Hz, so it works with the correct plug adapter and no voltage converter. Cellular data upload may not be available in every country, but therapy is unaffected.
