Swap the elbow before your first night. Press the side buttons to take off the AirFit F20 elbow, click in the F20 connector and attach the AirMini tubing. Keep the elbow for use with a standard CPAP hose; our guide on how to set up your ResMed AirMini shows each step.
HumidX F20 is the only cartridge that fits. It clicks inside the AirFit F20 cushion; replace it after 30 days of use and never wash it. Standard HumidX and HumidX Plus do not fit this mask. Refills: HumidX F20.
Magnet safety (required reading). The AirFit F20 has magnets in the frame and lower headgear clips. Do not use it if you, or anyone in close physical contact while you use it, has an active implant that interacts with magnets (pacemaker, implantable defibrillator, neurostimulator, CSF shunt, insulin or infusion pump) or a metallic implant with ferromagnetic material (aneurysm clips or flow disruption devices, embolic coils, stents, valves, electrodes, hearing or balance implants with magnets, ocular implants, metal splinters in the eye).
Keep the magnets away from implants. Keep the magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) from any implant or medical device that magnets can affect, and ask your physician or the implant maker if you are unsure. The magnetic clips can come apart while you sleep, and the mask is MR unsafe, so keep it out of MRI rooms.
Keep the connector vents and valve clear. Never cover or block the F20 connector vents or its anti-asphyxia valve, and replace the connector if the valve is damaged. Skip ozone and UV cleaners: they are not validated for this mask and may discolor or damage it. A tube and mask cleaning brush set reaches the vent holes.
Replace travel parts on a schedule. Change the F20 connector, the AirMini tubing and the AirMini filter at least every 6 months (the filter cannot be washed; your bundle includes one spare). Plan on a new AirFit F20 cushion as often as every month and new F20 headgear or F20 for Her headgear as often as every 6 months, depending on wear.
Airplane mode for the flight. Hold the Bluetooth button for at least 10 seconds until the light turns white, start therapy with the Start/Stop button and keep the app off in flight. Our compliance letter is in Guide and Resources, and flying with a CPAP machine has more travel tips.
Plan your power off the grid. No battery is built into the AirMini. In a car, RV or boat, use the AirMini DC power converter with a 12 V or 24 V source (not on aircraft). ResMed does not list a battery for the AirMini, so choose one whose maker lists AirMini compatibility; see our guide to the best CPAP batteries.
Protect it in your luggage. The drawstring bag is included. For more padding on the road, see our AirMini accessories.
Have your prescription ready. A prescription is required for the AirMini and the AirFit F20, which are for patients over 66 lb (30 kg). Use our prescription upload page to send it.
