Important Tips

  • Use Easy-Breathe and AutoSet to adjust pressure automatically for smoother breathing and better comfort during sleep.
  • Set exhalation pressure as low as 4 cm H2O to make breathing out easier if you require high pressure for inhalation.
  • Always place the device lower than your head level when using the humidifier to avoid water reaching the mask or tubing.
  • Check all connections (mask, tubing, water chamber) to ensure the system is sealed and pressure readings are accurate.
  • Fill the water chamber daily with distilled water, and empty it after each use to prevent bacteria and mineral buildup.
  • Use heated tubing like ClimateLineAir to maintain warm airflow and prevent condensation inside the tubing.
  • Inspect and replace tubing, mask, and water chamber regularly if you notice signs of wear, damage, or leaks.
  • Review your daily sleep data directly on the device screen, and share it with your doctor to adjust therapy as needed.
  • Clean your mask and tubing daily with mild soap and water, and avoid using strong chemicals or harsh detergents.
  • Change air filters monthly or sooner if they appear dirty, to keep the airflow clean and the machine working properly.
  • Confirm therapy settings before use, especially after traveling, to ensure pressure and comfort settings match your prescription.
  • Set ramp time to start therapy at a lower pressure and increase it gradually, making it easier to fall asleep.

Is the AirCurve 10 VAuto a CPAP or a BiPAP?

It is an auto-adjusting bilevel (BiPAP) device. It delivers a higher pressure when you breathe in and a lower pressure when you breathe out, and auto-adjusts within the range your clinician sets. Its pressure range is 4 to 25 cm H2O.

Does the AirCurve 10 VAuto have a touchscreen?

No. It is controlled with a push dial and a color LCD screen, not a touchscreen.

Which app does it use?

The myAir app. The AirCurve 10 has built-in cellular connectivity, so your therapy data syncs to the myAir app and to ResMed AirView for your provider.

Does it have EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief)?

EPR is available only when the device runs in CPAP mode. In its bilevel VAuto and S modes, exhale comfort comes from the difference between IPAP and EPAP and the Easy-Breathe waveform.

Is a heated tube included?

The box ships with standard air tubing. The ClimateLineAir heated tube is available separately as an accessory.
