Overview

The AirTouch N20 is our nasal mask for anyone who wants a softer feel than silicone, especially side sleepers and people who wake up with red marks around the nose. Instead of a standard silicone seal, it uses ResMed's UltraSoft memory foam cushion, which molds to your face for a gentler, more contoured fit.

It comes in Small, Medium, and Large so you can match the cushion to your face shape, and it ships with the plush headgear and magnetic clips that snap the headgear to the frame in seconds. If you already own an AirFit N20, good news: the two masks share the same frame, so you can swap between the foam and silicone cushions whenever you like.

Keep in mind that memory foam behaves differently than silicone. We recommend replacing the cushion monthly, and it should be wiped clean rather than submerged in water. This is a prescription CPAP mask, so you will need a valid prescription to complete checkout.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the mask sitting up before bed, adjusting the headgear straps evenly so the seal is snug without being overtightened.
  • Avoid creasing or curling the memory foam cushion when you put the mask on. A crease in the foam can cause a leak that a tighter strap will not fix.
  • Wipe the cushion daily with a CPAP-safe wipe. Never submerge the memory foam cushion in water or soak it in cleaning solution.
  • Plan to replace the memory foam cushion about once a month. Foam wears faster than silicone and the seal weakens as it breaks down.
  • If a fresh foam cushion still leaks at higher pressures, try swapping in the AirFit N20 silicone cushion on the same frame.
  • Not sure which cushion material fits your routine best? Our AirTouch vs AirFit guide breaks down the tradeoffs.
  • Store the mask away from direct sunlight and heat when not in use. Heat can speed up how quickly the foam cushion loses its shape.
  • Traveling with an AirMini? This mask needs the AirMini N20 connector since it does not attach to the AirMini tubing directly.
  • Set your device's mask option to Pillows if you use an AirSense, AirCurve, or S9 machine, so pressure delivery matches this mask.

What’s Included

While this product includes the essential mask and headgear components, you'll still need to purchase a CPAP machine and hose to complete your therapy setup

Everything you need to know about the AirTouch N20

UltraSoft Memory Foam Cushion

The cushion is made from ResMed's UltraSoft memory foam, which contours to your face for a gentler seal than silicone. It is designed to reduce the red marks and pressure points that come from a firmer cushion pressing on the same spots all night.

Fits Three Face Sizes

The AirTouch N20 comes in Small, Medium, and Large cushions, so you can pick the fit that matches your face shape. The size is printed right on the base of the cushion, making it easy to confirm before you order a replacement.

Swap to Silicone Anytime

This mask shares its frame with the AirFit N20, so the memory foam cushion and the AirFit N20 silicone cushion click onto the same frame. Keep a silicone cushion on hand as a backup, or switch depending on how your skin feels that night.

Softer Feel for Sensitive Skin

Memory foam spreads pressure more evenly across your nose than silicone, which is why we recommend it for people prone to facial marks or irritation. It is also a comfortable pick if you are new to CPAP and want a gentler introduction to wearing a mask.

Quick, Snug Fit With Magnetic Clips

Magnetic clips guide the headgear onto the frame so you can put the mask on or take it off without fumbling in the dark. The plush headgear spreads pressure across a wider area instead of digging into your cheeks.

Step Away Without Removing the Mask

The quick-release elbow lets you disconnect from the hose with one motion if you need to get up in the middle of the night, then reconnect and fall back asleep without readjusting the whole mask.

Stays Out of Your Field of Vision

Because it covers only the nose, the AirTouch N20 leaves your eyes and lower face clear. You can read, watch TV, or wear glasses in bed without the mask getting in the way.

Quieter Exhale for You and Your Partner

The passive vent on the elbow is built to diffuse exhaled air instead of releasing it in one noisy stream. ResMed lists a sound power level of 24 dBA, which is quiet enough to avoid disturbing a partner sleeping next to you.

Simple Wipe Down Care

The memory foam cushion cannot be submerged in water, so cleaning it is a quick daily wipe instead of a wash routine. This is faster than cleaning a silicone cushion, though the tradeoff is a shorter replacement cycle.

One Mask, Two Cushion Options

Because the AirTouch N20 and AirFit N20 use the same frame and headgear, you only need to buy a replacement cushion, not a whole new mask, if you want to try the other material.

Built for Wide Pressure Needs

ResMed validates this mask for therapy pressures from 4 to 30 cm H2O, so it works whether your prescription is on the lower end or set higher.

Latex-Free Materials

The AirTouch N20 is not made with natural rubber latex, PVC, DEHP, DBP, or BBP, which matters if you have sensitivities to these materials.

FAQs

Do I need a prescription to buy the AirTouch N20?

Yes. The AirTouch N20 is a prescription CPAP mask, so you will need a valid prescription on file to complete your order.

What's included in the box?

You get the AirTouch N20 mask frame with the memory foam cushion in your selected size, the plush headgear with magnetic clips, and the short tube and elbow. The CPAP machine and main air tubing are sold separately.

Does the AirTouch N20 use magnets?

Yes. The frame and lower headgear straps contain magnets that let the headgear clips snap into place quickly. Do not use this mask if you or someone sleeping close to you has a pacemaker, an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), or another active or metallic medical implant. Keep the mask's magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from any such implant, and talk to your doctor before using this mask if this applies to you or someone near you.

What's the difference between the AirTouch N20 and the AirFit N20?

Both masks share the same frame and headgear. The AirTouch N20 uses a memory foam cushion for a softer, more contoured feel, while the AirFit N20 uses a silicone InfinitySeal cushion that holds its seal longer. You can put either cushion on the same frame, so switching between them does not require a new mask.

Can I wash the memory foam cushion?

No. The memory foam cushion cannot be submerged in water or exposed to cleaning products, because that breaks down the foam. Wipe it daily with a CPAP-safe wipe instead, and plan to replace the cushion about once a month.

How often should I replace the memory foam cushion?

We recommend replacing it about every 30 days. Memory foam compresses and loses its seal faster than silicone, which typically lasts closer to 90 days before it needs to be replaced.

Who is the AirTouch N20 a good fit for?

It works well for side sleepers, people with facial hair, and anyone who tends to get red marks or irritation from a firmer silicone cushion. If you need a very high seal for heavy movement at night, a fresh silicone cushion on this same frame may hold up better between replacements.

Is the AirTouch N20 compatible with all CPAP machines?

It works with standard CPAP, APAP, and BiPAP machines using a 22 mm hose connection. If you use a ResMed AirMini, you will also need the AirMini N20 connector, since this mask does not attach to AirMini tubing directly.

What sizes does the AirTouch N20 come in?

It comes in Small, Medium, and Large cushions. The size letter is printed on the base of the cushion, so it is easy to confirm which one you have.

Is the AirTouch N20 FSA/HSA eligible?

Yes, this mask qualifies for FSA/HSA reimbursement.
