Important Tips

  • Clean the nasal pillows weekly with CPAP Soap to remove residue and maintain a hygienic seal.
  • Use CPAP mask wipes daily for quick and gentle cleaning between full washes.
  • Scrub the mouthpiece weekly with a soft toothbrush and rinse thoroughly—then place it in a clean, dry space out of direct sunlight.
  • Reach difficult spots around the hose connection using a CPAP brush set to help remove buildup.
  • Apply CPAP-friendly moisturizer before putting on the nasal pillows to prevent dryness or irritation around the nose.
  • Store your mask in a clean place away from contaminants, and consider using a CPAP cover to protect your hose from condensation and wear.
  • Use the CPAP Part Finder to quickly locate replacement nasal pillows or tubing accessories for your myTAP PAP.
  • For added comfort during sleep, especially if you’re a side sleeper, try using a CPAP pillow to prevent mask shifting.
  • Learn how to deal with CPAP mask leaks, which can happen even with strapless masks if nasal pillows aren't sealed properly.
  • Review the full mask cleaning guide to build an effective routine that keeps your myTAP PAP in top condition.

FAQs

Everything you need to know about the myTAP

Moldable Mouthpiece
The most notable feature of the myTAP PAP mask is the unique ThermAcryl™ material used for the mouthpiece. Dipping this thin, soft polymer in boiled water allows it to be easily and comfortably set to a precise mold of the teeth

Adaptive Frame
The unique nut-and-bolt joint sets the desired angle and depth for the nasal pillows and mouthpiece. Once the mask is fit, there should be little need for ongoing adjustments

Quiet Exhalation Port
Knowing the quiet operation is a key to sleep comfort, the myTAP PAP uses a wide distribution of holes along the mask frame to distribute air evenly and quietly. This helps to reduce disturbances to the user or bed partner

Strap-Free Stability

The mouthpiece anchors the nasal pillows without the need for headgear. This keeps the mask stable even as you move during the night, eliminating facial pressure points and morning marks.

Custom Mouthpiece Fit

The upper tray molds to your dental structure for a secure, personalized fit. Once formed, it holds the mask in place comfortably without needing extra straps or adjustments.

No Forehead or Cheek Contact

With no frame or headgear, the mask leaves your face clear. You can wear glasses, read, or relax before sleep without feeling restricted or obstructed by your setup.

Nasal Pillows with Minimal Pressure Drop

The nasal pillows deliver consistent airflow with low resistance. They stay in place and reduce the sensation of strong airflow, supporting effective therapy all night long.

Quiet Operation for Better Rest

The mask runs quietly, especially during exhalation, making it easier to fall and stay asleep. It's a solid choice if you’re sensitive to noise or sleep with a partner.

Ball and Socket Hose Connector

A rotating joint between the short tube and the mask moves with you as you change positions. This reduces tugging and helps maintain a comfortable seal while sleeping on your back, side, or stomach.

Ideal for CPAP and APAP Therapy

The design supports both CPAP and APAP machines, maintaining a reliable seal even as pressure levels adjust throughout the night. It helps ensure steady airflow without disruption.

For Users with Upper Teeth

This mask requires at least eight natural upper teeth for a secure mouthpiece fit. Proper anchoring is key to keeping the nasal pillows stable without headgear support.

FAQs

What is the myTAP PAP?

The myTAP PAP is a strapless nasal pillow CPAP mask made by Airway Management. Instead of headgear, it anchors the nasal pillows with a custom-molded mouthpiece held in place by your upper teeth, so there are no straps across your face or head.

How does it stay on without headgear?

A custom-fit mouthpiece holds the nasal pillows in position. The mouthpiece is held naturally by your upper teeth, which keeps the seal stable through the night without straps or headgear.

Do I need teeth to use the myTAP PAP?

Yes. The myTAP PAP requires at least eight natural upper teeth to anchor the mouthpiece. It is not suitable if you wear an upper denture or have a permanent upper bridge, dental implants, or loose crowns or fillings in the upper arch, since the mouthpiece needs stable natural teeth to hold position. The manufacturer also recommends a recent dental checkup before use.

Is the mouthpiece a mandibular advancement device?

No. The mouthpiece is only an anchor that holds the nasal pillows in place. It does not advance your jaw or treat sleep apnea on its own. The myTAP PAP delivers CPAP therapy from your machine through the nasal pillows.

How do I mold and fit the mouthpiece?

The mouthpiece uses a heat-moldable ThermAcryl material. You soften it in boiled water, bite to mold it to your teeth, then fine-tune the angle and depth with the nut-and-bolt joint. You can remold it if the fit is not right.

Is it compatible with my CPAP machine?

Yes. The myTAP PAP works with most CPAP and APAP machines that use standard 22 mm tubing. It is not compatible with the ResMed AirMini's micro-tubing unless you use a ZephAir adapter. A rotating ball-and-socket connector lets the short tube move with you as you change positions.

What sizes does it include?

The package includes small, medium, and large nasal pillows so you can choose the best fit, along with instructions for use.

How do I clean the myTAP PAP?

Wash the nasal pillows weekly with mild CPAP soap and rinse well. Clean the mouthpiece weekly with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and air dry out of direct sunlight. Wipe the frame between washes with CPAP mask wipes.

Is the myTAP PAP FSA/HSA eligible?

Yes. The myTAP PAP is FSA/HSA eligible at Sleeplay.
