Overview

If you have ever given up on a mask because the straps were a hassle, the F&P Solo fixes exactly that. You stretch it on in one motion, no side straps, clips, or buckles, and it holds itself in place while you sleep. After a long day of airports or highway, that is the entire setup.

The cushion rests gently under your nose and moves with you, so most people get a good fit on the first try. We pair it with the Luna TravelPAP, a small machine that sets your pressure automatically and asks just as little of you at bedtime.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the Solo Nasal mask sitting upright or lying in your usual sleep position. Stretch the headgear on first, then use a single touch to position the cushion comfortably under your nose before starting the machine.
  • Let the machine reach working pressure before you judge whether the seal is right. The Dynamic Support Technology cushion adapts under pressure, so an early impression with no airflow may not reflect the seal you will have during actual therapy.
  • If you wake with leaks, try repositioning the cushion with a light touch before tightening the headgear. Overtightening causes the cushion to compress and lose its seal, not improve it.
  • The wider you split the gray and gold headgear straps at the back of your head, the more stable the fit. Anchor the gray strap at the base of your skull, then place the gold strap on top of your head.
  • Download the free LightTrip app and pair it with the machine over Bluetooth before your first night. The machine has no screen, so the app is where you start and stop therapy, adjust the ramp, run a mask fit check, and review your reports. The light ring on the machine shows status at a glance.
  • Rinse the cushion, frame, and headgear daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry before reassembling. Do not put any Solo Nasal components in the dishwasher.
  • Replace the nasal cushion approximately every 14 days and the frame every 3 months. Replace the headgear after 6 months or sooner if it stops retracting or no longer holds its shape after a thorough wash. Replacement parts are sold separately.
  • Check the disposable filter weekly and replace it about every 6 months. Three filters come in the box, and replacement filters are available when you run low.
  • The Luna TravelPAP meets FAA requirements for use on board (RTCA DO-160), and an official compliance letter is available to show your airline if asked. Pack the letter with the machine, and double click the Bluetooth button to switch on airplane mode before takeoff. Airline rules can vary, so confirm your carrier's policy before you fly. At your destination, the machine operates at elevations up to 7,500 feet.
  • Use the included storage bag to keep the machine, tube, and mask together between trips. A dedicated Luna TravelPAP carrying case is available separately, and a spare AC power adapter means you never have to unplug the one at home.
  • This bundle pairs the mask with the same machine we sell on its own. For the machine's full specs, visit the Luna TravelPAP page, or compare other mask pairings in our travel bundles.

Product Features

Freedom to Read and Watch TV Before Bed

The Solo Nasal cushion sits under your nose instead of covering it, using Dynamic Support Technology to stay in place while moving freely with your face. This keeps your sightline open for reading or watching TV and reduces the facial contact that causes pressure marks overnight.

No Side Straps to Fuss With

AutoFit and AutoLock headgear skips conventional side straps. Stretch the mask over your head, press the cushion under your nose to seal, and the carbon-reinforced AutoLock frame holds it in place. A single pull releases the headgear when you are done.

One Headgear, Two Cushion Styles

The one-size headgear fits about 95 percent of people and swaps between the Solo Nasal cushion and F&P Solo Pillows cushions, so you can change your seal style without buying new headgear. Nasal cushions come in Small, Medium, Large, and Wide.

Under-the-Nose Cushion, No Inserts, No Magnets

The Solo Nasal cushion cradles under your nose rather than inserting anything into your nostrils. The Solo Nasal has no magnets, so the FDA precaution about magnetic mask parts near implanted medical devices does not apply. If you have an implanted device, ask your doctor which mask is right for you. If you have an implanted medical device, ask your doctor about your specific device.

A Seal That Moves With You Without Slipping

The cushion cradles under your nose rather than inserting into your nostrils. Dynamic Support Technology in the cushion allows natural movement during sleep while keeping the seal comfortably in place, so shifting positions during the night does not mean waking up to leaks.

Packs Down to Almost Nothing

Machine, slim tube, and storage bag tuck into a corner of a carry-on. If your current setup makes you choose between packing space and sleeping well, this one ends the argument.

Auto Pressure With Zero Fiddling

The Luna TravelPAP tracks your breathing and adjusts pressure on its own all night. Combined with the Solo's stretch-and-go fit, the whole bedtime routine drops to seconds, even somewhere you have never slept before.

Softer Landings Into Sleep

Reslex exhalation relief takes the edge off breathing out against pressure, and the auto ramp starts low and rises as you drift. It is an easier runway into sleep after a day of movement.

Skip the Water, Skip the Fuss

There is no water chamber to fill, empty, or dry before packing. A damp cloth keeps the machine clean, and the filter goes about six months between changes, with three included in the box.

FAQs

How is the Solo Nasal different from a nasal pillow mask?

The Solo Nasal cushion sits under the nose in a cradle position, not inside the nostrils. Dynamic Support Technology in the cushion allows some movement while holding the seal in place. A nasal pillow mask inserts small pillows directly into each nostril. If you have found pillow masks uncomfortable at higher pressures or want nothing entering the nostrils, the Solo Nasal is worth trying.

What cushion size do I need for the Solo Nasal?

The Solo Nasal cushion comes in Small, Medium, Large, and Wide. If you are unsure, order the Fit Pack (SLN1SMLA), which includes Small, Medium, and Large in one box so you can test each at home. The F&P myMask app also provides sizing guidance before you order.

How does AutoLock work, and will the mask stay put if I move during the night?

AutoLock technology, made with carbon fiber, holds the mask in position during sleep automatically. If the cushion shifts, you can pull it out and reposition with a single touch.

Can I use the Solo Nasal if I breathe through my mouth at night?

No, not without an accessory. The Solo Nasal covers only the nose, so mouth breathing breaks the seal and reduces therapy effectiveness. A chin strap can help if you breathe through your mouth occasionally. If you are a consistent mouth breather, a full-face or hybrid mask is a better fit.

Is the Solo Nasal safe if I have a pacemaker or other implanted device?

The Solo Nasal has no magnets, so the FDA precaution about magnetic mask parts near implanted medical devices does not apply. If you have an implanted device, ask your doctor which mask is right for you. The F&P Solo Nasal contains no magnets in any part of its assembly. The FDA precautionary guidance about magnetic mask closures near pacemakers, ICDs, cochlear implants, and similar devices does not apply to this mask. If you have an implanted medical device, ask your doctor about your specific device.

How often do I replace the Solo Nasal cushion and headgear?

Replace the nasal cushion approximately every 14 days and the frame every 3 months under regular use. For the headgear, replace it after 6 months or if it stops retracting after a thorough wash or no longer holds its shape. Visible wear, persistent leaks after refitting, or loss of cushion softness are all signs to replace sooner. Replacement cushions and frames are sold separately.

What comes in the bundle?

You get the Luna TravelPAP travel CPAP machine with its slim travel tube, storage bag, three disposable filters, AC power adapter, and user and quick start guides, plus the F&P Solo Nasal mask in the size you select. Together they are a complete setup, ready for your first night.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The Luna TravelPAP is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, contact us and we will point you to options for renewing it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The Luna TravelPAP carries a 2-year machine warranty, and the F&P Solo Nasal carries the 90-day Fisher and Paykel mask warranty, so the two are covered separately. The Luna TravelPAP meets FAA requirements for use on board (RTCA DO-160), and an official compliance letter is available to show your airline if asked.

Does the Luna TravelPAP have a humidifier?

No. The Luna TravelPAP does not include a humidifier, and there is no water chamber to fill or pack. That is part of how it stays so small and light. If nightly humidification is essential to your comfort, a home machine remains the better everyday pick, and the TravelPAP can cover your trips.

Can I use a different mask with the Luna TravelPAP down the road?

The Solo Nasal has no magnets, so the FDA precaution about magnetic mask parts near implanted medical devices does not apply. If you have an implanted device, ask your doctor which mask is right for you. The machine uses a standard 22 mm connection, and the included slim travel tube has standard connectors on both ends, so any standard CPAP mask works with it. No adapters, and no proprietary mask system to stay locked into.
