Overview

If you breathe through your mouth and full face masks have always felt like too much hardware, this is the pairing to take on the road. The DreamWear Full Face covers your nose and mouth but seals under your nose instead of across the bridge, so nothing presses between your eyes and nothing blocks your view.

The hose runs up through the frame and connects at the top of your head, so you can wear glasses, read, or roll onto your side in an unfamiliar bed. We pair it with the Luna TravelPAP, a travel machine that keeps your pressure right all night and packs down small enough to leave room for everything else in your bag.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the DreamWear Full Face lying down in your actual sleep position before your first night. The under-nose cushion should feel snug below the nostrils without pressing on the nose bridge. If you feel pressure on the bridge, the cushion is too large or positioned too high.
  • If you notice leaks at the corners of your mouth or below the nostrils, try the next cushion size before tightening the headgear straps. Overtightening the headgear is one of the most common causes of persistent leaks with this mask type.
  • Route the hose up and over the top of your pillow after connecting at the crown of your head. This keeps slack in the tubing and reduces any pull on the seal when you shift positions during the night.
  • The DreamWear Full Face uses magnetic headgear clips. Keep the mask at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from pacemakers, implanted defibrillators (ICDs), neurostimulators, and other implanted devices. If this applies to you or to someone who sleeps near you, speak with your doctor before using this mask.
  • If you ordered the Fit Pack, try each cushion size on the same night before committing to one. Fit differences between Small, Medium, Medium-Wide, and Large can be subtle but significant for seal quality.
  • Rinse the cushion and frame daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry completely before reassembling. Do not use alcohol-based cleaners on the cushion or frame.
  • Replace the DreamWear Full Face cushion every 1 to 3 months depending on wear. A cushion that has lost its firmness or developed visible cracking will not hold a seal reliably. Keep a spare on hand so a worn cushion does not interrupt your therapy.
  • If you experience skin irritation on your upper lip or under your nose, check whether the cushion is the right size and that you are not overtightening. A properly fitted cushion should seal with light contact, not compression.
  • Before a flight, double click the Bluetooth button for airplane mode and keep the FAA compliance letter with your travel documents. Airline rules vary, so confirm your carrier's policy ahead of time.
  • Replace the machine's disposable filter about every 6 months and check it weekly while traveling. The box includes three filters to start you off.

Product Features

Top-of-Head Hose Connection

The hose connection at the top of the head provides a balanced design, keeping the hose out of the way as you move during sleep. This setup works well for stomach and side sleepers, ensuring minimal disruptions.

Hollow Frame Design

The hollow frame allows airflow through the mask frame itself, reducing bulk while maintaining consistent therapy delivery. This design also minimizes the need for additional connections, simplifying your setup.

Cushioned Seal Under the Nose

The cushion sits comfortably under the nose, sealing effectively without covering the bridge. This helps prevent pressure marks and makes it easier to breathe naturally.

A Machine That Fits Your Suitcase, Not Fills It

The Luna TravelPAP is a fraction of the size of a home machine and comes with its own storage bag. Pack it, pack the mask, and you still have room for everything else you were bringing anyway.

Auto Pressure, Anywhere You Sleep

The machine reads your breathing and adjusts pressure automatically, so jet lag, a strange pillow, or a late dinner does not turn into a rough night of therapy. Auto ramp eases the start, and Reslex makes breathing out feel natural.

Airplane Mode for Overnight Flights

Airplane mode is a double click of the Bluetooth button. To use it during a flight you need an AC outlet at your seat and your airline's approval, since React Health does not offer a battery for this machine. The Luna TravelPAP meets FAA requirements for use on board (RTCA DO-160), and an official compliance letter is available to show your airline if asked. Confirm your airline's policy before you fly.

Control From the App, Status at a Glance

The free LightTrip app runs the machine from your phone: start, stop, ramp, fit test, and reports. On the device, a light ring tells you therapy status without lighting up the whole room.

Low Maintenance by Design

With no water chamber, device care comes down to a wipe with a damp cloth and a filter change a couple of times a year. That is the entire routine, at home or away.

FAQs

Does this mask seal my mouth and nose without touching the nose bridge?

Yes. The DreamWear Full Face cushion seals under the nose and covers both the nose and mouth, without sitting on or pressing across the nose bridge. This is the main reason people choose this mask over traditional full face designs: it removes the source of bridge redness and pressure marks.

Does this mask have magnets, and is it safe with a pacemaker or implant?

Yes, the DreamWear Full Face uses magnetic headgear clips for easy on/off removal, so it is not magnet-free. Keep the magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from pacemakers, defibrillators (ICDs), neurostimulators, CSF shunts, insulin or infusion pumps, certain metallic stents and aneurysm clips, and metallic eye implants. This applies to you and to anyone who sleeps near you. If this affects you, talk to your doctor before purchasing, or choose a magnet-free mask instead.

What size DreamWear Full Face should I order?

The mask comes in three frame sizes (Small, Medium, Large) and four cushion sizes (Small, Medium, Medium-Wide, Large). Headgear is one size fits most. If you are unsure, order the Fit Pack: it includes a Medium frame and all four cushion sizes so you can find the right fit at home. The Philips DreamMapper app also has a fit-check guide.

Is the DreamWear Full Face good for side sleepers?

Yes. The hose connects at the top of the head, which means there is nothing in front of your face pulling the seal when you roll over. Side sleepers and stomach sleepers typically find the top-of-head hose much more comfortable than a front-facing elbow connection. Fit the mask lying down in your sleep position to get the seal right before your first night.

How is the DreamWear Full Face different from the DreamWear Nasal mask?

Both masks use the same hollow frame and top-of-head hose. The key difference is the cushion: the Full Face cushion covers both the nose and mouth and is for mouth breathers or people with congestion. The Nasal cushion covers only the nose and requires you to keep your mouth closed during therapy.

Is the DreamWear Full Face mask discontinued?

No. The DreamWear Full Face is a current Philips Respironics mask, and we carry replacement parts for it. The 2021 Philips recall involved sleep therapy machines. Separately, in 2022 Philips updated the safety warnings for masks with magnetic clips, including the DreamWear Full Face; follow the magnet warning on this page. The DreamWear mask line continues to be produced and supported.

What pressure modes does the Luna TravelPAP offer?

The machine offers CPAP and AutoCPAP modes with a pressure range of 4 to 20 cmH2O in 0.5 steps. Reslex exhalation relief softens pressure when you breathe out, and auto ramp starts each session gently and builds as you fall asleep. Your prescribing clinician sets the range that fits your therapy.

What is included in this bundle?

The bundle includes the Luna TravelPAP travel CPAP machine, its slim travel tube, a storage bag, three disposable filters, the AC power adapter, the user and quick start guides, and the DreamWear Full Face mask in the size you select. No additional purchases are required to start therapy.

Do I need a prescription to buy this bundle?

Yes. U.S. federal law requires a valid prescription from a licensed physician to purchase any CPAP or APAP device. You can upload your prescription during checkout. If you need help getting a prescription or renewing one, contact us and we can point you in the right direction.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The Luna TravelPAP is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, contact us and we will point you to options for renewing it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The Luna TravelPAP carries a 2-year machine warranty, and the mask carries its own manufacturer warranty, so the two are covered separately. The Luna TravelPAP meets FAA requirements for use on board (RTCA DO-160), and an official compliance letter is available to show your airline if asked.

Does the TravelPAP have a screen or a humidifier?

No to both. You control the machine with two buttons, a light ring, and the free LightTrip app over Bluetooth. There is no humidifier and no humidifier option, which keeps the machine light and simple to pack. If you use a humidifier at home, expect the air to feel drier with this machine.
