Overview

The Amara View is the full face mask for people who do not want a full face mask. It covers your nose and mouth but tucks under your nose instead of sitting on the bridge, so nothing sits between your eyes and the book, screen, or view in front of you.

Its seal holds steady even when your therapy pressure runs high, which suits the auto-adjusting Luna TravelPAP: a small machine made for planes, road trips, and tight packing. If congestion or mouth breathing has ever wrecked a night away from home, this pairing keeps therapy on track.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Fit the Amara View lying down in your actual sleep position with your mouth slightly open in a natural resting position. Setting the cushion seal before you tighten the headgear gives you a more accurate fit and reduces the chance of leaks overnight.
  • If the under-nose cushion leaks, try the next cushion size before tightening the headgear straps. Overtightening is the most common mistake with this mask and usually makes leaks worse, not better. If you are between sizes, the Amara View Fit Pack (sold separately) includes all three cushions.
  • Adjust the headgear straps evenly, starting loose, until the cushion seals. Start loose at all five, then snug each strap evenly until the cushion seals. The crown strap reduces downward pull on the lower straps and helps the cushion stay seated under the nose.
  • Magnet caution: the Amara View uses magnetic headgear clips. Keep the mask at least 6 inches (150 mm) from pacemakers, ICDs, neurostimulators, and other implanted devices. This applies to you and to anyone who sleeps near you. Non-magnetic replacement clips are available if needed.
  • Download the free LightTrip app and pair it with the machine over Bluetooth before your first night. The machine has no screen, so the app is where you start and stop therapy, adjust the ramp, run a mask fit check, and review your reports. The light ring on the machine shows status at a glance.
  • Rinse the Amara View cushion and frame daily with warm water and mild soap, and let all parts air dry completely before reassembling. Do not put the cushion in the dishwasher or leave it in direct sunlight, as heat and UV degrade the silicone.
  • Plan to replace the Amara View cushion about every 3 months. A worn cushion loses its sealing edge and typically causes leaks that cannot be fixed by adjusting the straps. Keeping a spare cushion on hand avoids a gap in therapy.
  • Check the disposable filter weekly and replace it about every 6 months. Three filters come in the box, and replacement filters are available when you run low.
  • The Luna TravelPAP meets FAA requirements for use on board (RTCA DO-160), and an official compliance letter is available to show your airline if asked. Pack the letter with the machine, and double click the Bluetooth button to switch on airplane mode before takeoff. Airline rules can vary, so confirm your carrier's policy before you fly. At your destination, the machine operates at elevations up to 7,500 feet.
  • Use the included storage bag to keep the machine, tube, and mask together between trips. A dedicated Luna TravelPAP carrying case is available separately, and a spare AC power adapter means you never have to unplug the one at home.
  • This bundle pairs the mask with the same machine we sell on its own. For the machine's full specs, visit the Luna TravelPAP page, or compare other mask pairings in our travel bundles.

Product Features

Open Line of Sight

The Amara View mask eliminates traditional forehead support, allowing an unobstructed view. This design lets users read, watch TV, or wear glasses comfortably before bed without interference from the mask.

Compact Full-Face Cushion

The mask’s cushion seals around the mouth and nostrils without covering the bridge of the nose, reducing pressure and irritation while maintaining an effective seal for therapy.

Under-the-Nose Cushion Design

The cushion features a nostril opening that directs airflow into the nose without causing discomfort or irritation. The user’s nose rests above the opening for optimal positioning.

Room Left Over in Your Carry-On

The Luna TravelPAP is genuinely small and light, and it ships with a storage bag that keeps the machine, tube, and cords together. It rides along on business trips and weekend getaways without forcing anything else out of the bag.

Cleared for Takeoff, Letter Included

The Luna TravelPAP meets FAA requirements for use on board (RTCA DO-160), and an official compliance letter is available to show your airline if asked. Double click the Bluetooth button and it switches to airplane mode. Airplane mode is a double click of the Bluetooth button. To use it during a flight you need an AC outlet at your seat and your airline's approval, since React Health does not offer a battery for this machine.

Auto-Adjusting Therapy in a Travel Size

In auto mode the machine raises and lowers pressure as your breathing changes through the night, the same way a full-size auto machine does at home. You get therapy matched to the night you are actually having, wherever you are having it.

Your Phone Is the Screen

There is no display on the machine. The free LightTrip app handles start and stop, ramp changes, a mask fit check, and your nightly reports over Bluetooth, and the light ring on the device shows status without a menu to dig through.

Quieter Air, Less Disturbance for Your Partner

The Amara View redirects exhaled air away from your bed partner through diffused venting. The effect holds even at higher therapy pressures, where the under-nose seal keeps good contact with your face.

Simple to Live With Between Trips

No water chamber, no daily emptying, no drying time before you pack. A damp cloth keeps the machine clean, and the disposable filter only needs replacing about every six months.

FAQs

Does the Amara View have magnets, and is it safe with a pacemaker or implant?

Yes, the Amara View uses magnetic headgear clips, so it is not magnet-free. Keep the magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from pacemakers, defibrillators (ICDs), neurostimulators, CSF shunts, insulin or infusion pumps, certain metallic stents and aneurysm clips, and metallic eye implants. This applies to you and to anyone who sleeps near you. Non-magnetic replacement clips are available if you need them. If you have an implanted device, talk to your doctor before using this mask or choose a magnet-free mask.

Why is the Amara View called a full face mask if it doesn't cover the nose bridge?

Full face means the mask covers both the nose and mouth openings, which is what matters for therapy. The Amara View seals under the nose rather than across the nose bridge, so it still delivers pressure to both airways. The absence of nose-bridge contact is a design feature, not a limitation. It reduces pressure marks and keeps your field of vision clear.

What cushion sizes does the Amara View come in, and how do I find my fit?

The Amara View cushion is available in Small, Medium, and Large. A single universal frame fits all three sizes, so you only replace the cushion, not the frame or headgear, when you change size. If you are not sure of your size, the Fit Pack includes all three cushions to try at home. The one-size headgear adjusts at five points and fits most adults.

Is the Amara View a good choice at higher therapy pressures?

Yes. The under-the-nose cushion is designed to hold its seal at higher therapy pressures. This pairs naturally with the Luna TravelPAP, which auto-adjusts up to 20 cmH2O. If your prescription or therapy data trends toward higher pressures, this combination is worth considering over a nasal mask that may leak more under high pressure.

Who is the Amara View best suited for?

The Amara View works best for mouth breathers, people with frequent nasal congestion, anyone who has had redness or pressure marks from masks that sit on the nose bridge, glasses wearers, and people who read or watch TV in bed. If a chin strap is part of your setup, the full face seal on the Amara View may let you drop it.

How do I clean the Amara View cushion?

Rinse the cushion and frame daily with warm water and a mild soap, then let all parts air dry completely before reassembling. Do not use ozone-based cleaners on any component, and avoid alcohol-based wipes directly on the silicone cushion. Weekly cleaning of the headgear with mild soap and water is sufficient for the fabric parts.

What comes in the bundle?

You get the Luna TravelPAP travel CPAP machine with its slim travel tube, storage bag, three disposable filters, AC power adapter, and user and quick start guides, plus the Amara View mask in the size you select. Together they are a complete setup, ready for your first night.

Do I need a prescription, and is the bundle FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes to both. The Luna TravelPAP is a prescription device, so a valid Rx is required, and the bundle is FSA and HSA eligible. If your prescription has lapsed, contact us and we will point you to options for renewing it.

What warranty comes with the bundle, and can I fly with it?

The Luna TravelPAP carries a 2-year machine warranty, and the mask carries its own manufacturer warranty, so the two are covered separately. The Luna TravelPAP meets FAA requirements for use on board (RTCA DO-160), and an official compliance letter is available to show your airline if asked.

Does the Luna TravelPAP have a humidifier?

No. The Luna TravelPAP does not include a humidifier, and there is no water chamber to fill or pack. That is part of how it stays so small and light. If nightly humidification is essential to your comfort, a home machine remains the better everyday pick, and the TravelPAP can cover your trips.

How do I control the machine if it has no screen?

Through the free LightTrip app for iOS and Android, which connects over Bluetooth. The app starts and stops therapy, adjusts the ramp, runs a mask fit check, and shows your nightly and weekly reports. On the machine itself, a light ring shows status at a glance: white means therapy is running, orange means something needs attention.
