Overview

Liviliti CPAP Soap Concentrate is a mild, unscented liquid soap for the weekly wash of your CPAP mask, hose, and humidifier water chamber. You mix a teaspoon into a gallon of water, so one bottle goes a long way.

We like it because it keeps things simple: no added fragrance to linger in the mask you breathe through all night, no alcohol, and no SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate). It is designed to remove residue while staying gentle on the silicone, plastic, and fabric parts of your setup. It is part of the CPAP Soap line from Liviliti Health Products, the Florida company behind the Paptizer UV-C CPAP cleaning devices, and it is made in the USA.

For a complete routine, wipe your mask every day with the Bubble Pads from our Liviliti CPAP Cleaner Soap Bubble Pads + Packets set, and use the concentrate for your weekly wash. That set also includes pre-measured weekly packets, so the concentrate is the measure-it-yourself choice when you want one bottle for many washes. If your mask has a memory foam cushion, like the ResMed AirTouch F20 or AirTouch N20, wipe that cushion instead of soaking it. No prescription is needed, and our guide to the best soap for cleaning CPAP equipment and CPAP cleaning supplies can help you round out your kit.

Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Give your gear its own basin. Wash in a clean tub set aside for CPAP parts so kitchen grease and food residue stay off your mask. Our CPAP Clean Start Kit includes a wash basin, brush set, and hose hanger from the same CPAP Soap line.
  • Measure, don't squeeze. Use 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of concentrate per gallon of water. Extra soap just means more to rinse out of your hose and mask.
  • Use warm water, not hot. ResMed's cleaning guide calls for warm, drinking-quality water (86°F/30°C) for its masks, tubing, and tubs.
  • Skip the soak for memory foam. ResMed says its AirTouch memory foam cushions (AirTouch F20, AirTouch N20) should not be rinsed or submerged. Wipe them with a CPAP Soap Bubble Pad instead.
  • Keep the machine out of water, and check filters first. Never put the CPAP machine in water. Philips, for example, says not to rinse its disposable ultra-fine filter and rinses its reusable pollen filter under warm tap water, so check your manual before any filter touches your wash basin.
  • Keep soaks short. Philips washes tubing for 3 minutes, and Fisher & Paykel's Eson 2 instructions say not to soak the mask for more than 10 minutes, so wash and rinse rather than leaving parts in the basin overnight.
  • Brush the hose only if your maker allows it. A soft CPAP mask and tube brush set reaches buildup you can't swish out, but some manuals limit brushing, so check your tubing's instructions first.
  • Rinse until no suds remain. Philips calls for rinsing tubing with drinkable water for at least 1 minute. Rinse every part under clean running water so no soap film stays inside.
  • Dry everything out of direct sunlight. ResMed, Philips, and Fisher & Paykel all say to dry parts out of direct sunlight. Hang the hose so water drains out, and reassemble only when every part is dry.
  • Empty the water chamber every day. ResMed says to empty and wipe the tub daily and soak it once a week, so give it the soapy wash on your weekly cleaning day along with your mask and hose.
  • Washing doesn't reset the replacement clock. Cushions, hoses, and filters still wear out on their own schedule, so check our guide on when to replace CPAP supplies.

Everything you need to know about the CPAP Soap Concentrate

No Lingering Scent in Your Mask

This soap is unscented, with no added fragrance, so nothing perfumed is left behind in the mask and hose you breathe through all night. That lines up with ResMed's cleaning guide, which lists scented and strong-smelling products among the things to keep off CPAP equipment.

Made for Delicate CPAP Materials

It is designed to remove residue without wearing down the silicone, plastic, and fabric your CPAP gear is made from. The formula is alcohol-free and SLS-free, so the parts that rest on your face every night get a mild, simple wash.

A Little Goes a Long Way

It is a concentrate, so you only need a teaspoon in a gallon of water for each weekly wash. Measuring keeps you from overdoing it, which means less soap to rinse out of your hose, and a single bottle covers a long run of cleaning days.

One Wash for Mask, Hose, and Chamber

Use it on your weekly cleaning day to wash your mask, hose, and humidifier water chamber in one basin of soapy water. Your mask manual tells you if any part needs a daily wash too. Our CPAP Clean Start Kit adds a dedicated wash basin, brushes, and a hose hanger.

Built to Pair With Daily Bubble Pads

Liviliti's CPAP Soap routine is simple: wipe your mask daily with a Bubble Pad, then wash everything with the concentrate on cleaning day. The whole line is SLS-free, alcohol-free, and fragrance-free, so your gear does not pick up a perfume smell. Our Bubble Pads + Packets set also includes pre-measured weekly packets.

Fits the Way CPAP Makers Say to Clean

CPAP makers including ResMed, Philips, and Fisher & Paykel call for washing with a mild soap or detergent and warm water. The label dose matches the soap-to-water ratio Philips gives for washing tubing, and the label tells you to follow your CPAP maker's guidelines for each part.

Honest About What's Inside

It is free of SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), and we will be upfront about the one sulfate it does use: sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), a milder relative of SLS. Every ingredient is printed on the bottle and listed in our specifications, so you can check it against any sensitivities before you buy.

Directions Printed Right on the Bottle

The dose and mixing steps are printed on the label, along with a reminder to follow your CPAP maker's guidelines for washing each part. Keep the bottle by your cleaning basin and the routine stays easy to repeat every week.

Made in the USA

Every bottle is made in the USA. It comes from Liviliti Health Products, the Florida company behind the Paptizer UV-C CPAP cleaning devices, so your soap comes from a brand that focuses on CPAP care.

FAQs

Do I need a prescription to buy CPAP Soap Concentrate?

No. It is a cleaning soap for your CPAP equipment, so you can order it without a prescription.

What's included, and how much soap does one bottle make?

One 16 oz bottle of CPAP Soap Concentrate. Because you use just 1 teaspoon per gallon of water, one bottle makes over 80 gallons of cleaning solution.

Is CPAP Soap Concentrate FSA and HSA eligible?

Yes. CPAP Soap Concentrate is FSA and HSA eligible, so you can pay for it with your FSA or HSA card at checkout.

Who makes CPAP Soap Concentrate?

Liviliti Health Products, a Florida company. It is part of Liviliti's CPAP Soap line, which also includes the CPAP Soap Bubble Pads, and the same company is behind the Paptizer UV-C CPAP cleaning devices. The concentrate is made in the USA.

What CPAP parts can I wash with CPAP Soap Concentrate?

Your mask, hose, and humidifier water chamber, the parts it is made to wash each week. Heated hoses count too: ResMed's weekly tubing wash covers its ClimateLineAir heated tube as well as SlimLine and standard tubing. Leave out memory foam cushions, never put the CPAP machine itself in water, and check your mask and machine manuals first.

Can I use CPAP Soap Concentrate on a memory foam mask cushion?

No. Memory foam cushions, such as those on the ResMed AirTouch F20 and AirTouch N20, should not be rinsed or submerged in liquid. Wipe them with a CPAP Soap Bubble Pad instead and follow the mask's own care guide.

How much CPAP Soap Concentrate do I use per wash?

1 teaspoon (5 ml) per gallon of water, the same ratio the Philips DreamStation manual gives for washing tubing in a mild detergent. Mix it in a clean basin, wash your gear following your CPAP maker's cleaning instructions, then rinse well with clean water and let everything air dry out of direct sunlight.

How is CPAP Soap Concentrate different from Liviliti Bubble Pads + Packets?

The concentrate is a liquid you measure yourself, 1 teaspoon per gallon, for the weekly wash of your mask, hose, and water chamber, and one bottle makes over 80 gallons. Our Bubble Pads + Packets set pairs soap-infused pads for a quick daily mask wipe with pre-measured packets for the weekly wash. Use the pads every day, then choose the packets or the concentrate for the weekly wash, depending on whether you want each dose pre-measured or prefer to mix from one bottle.

Will CPAP Soap Concentrate leave a soap smell in my mask?

No. It is unscented, with no added fragrance and no alcohol, so there is no perfume smell to linger in your mask or hose. Rinse every part thoroughly with clean water after washing so no soap film stays behind.

Is CPAP Soap Concentrate sulfate-free?

No. It is SLS-free, but it does contain SLES (sodium laureth sulfate), a milder cleanser than SLS. The full ingredient list is purified water, SLES, cocamidopropyl betaine, coco glucoside, sodium chloride, ethylhexyl glycerin, phenoxyethanol, and caprylyl glycol.

How often should I wash my CPAP mask and hose with CPAP Soap Concentrate?

Once a week for your mask, hose, and water chamber, with a Bubble Pad wipe of the mask on the other days. Some mask makers ask for more: ResMed, for example, says to clean the mask cushion daily and the headgear and frame weekly, so follow the schedule in your mask's instructions.

Does CPAP Soap Concentrate disinfect or kill germs?

No. It is a mild soap that washes away residue, not a disinfectant or sanitizer. ResMed and Fisher & Paykel both list antibacterial products among the things to keep off their masks, and ResMed notes antibacterial soaps may damage a mask and cause cracks.

Can I return CPAP Soap Concentrate?

Yes, if it is new and unopened. Unopened bottles can be returned within 60 nights of the ship date for a full refund or 100% store credit, and return shipping is on you unless your order has Checkout Plus. Once a bottle is opened, it cannot be returned.
