Confirm over-the-nose fit is right for you. The Nova Nasal cushion sits over the nose; if you'd rather try an under-the-nose pillow style, compare it against the F&P Nova Micro before you order.
Prefer nasal pillows instead? F&P Nova Micro seals inside the nostrils rather than over the bridge.
Try all three cushion sizes if you ordered the Fit Pack. Medium ships installed, with small and large also in the box, so test each one before settling on a size.
Set both SwingFit clips evenly. Balanced tension lets the headgear pivot smoothly instead of pulling the cushion off-center as you move.
Let the cushion do the sealing, not the straps. Overtightening the headgear presses the cushion into the nasal bridge and tends to cause more leaks, not fewer.
Rinse the cushion daily with warm water and mild soap to remove facial oils that break the seal overnight.
Wash the diffuser weekly and let it air-dry fully before reattaching it. A damp diffuser changes the airflow and adds noise back in.
Skip alcohol, bleach, and antibacterial soaps on any part of the mask. They break down the silicone and shorten the cushion's life.
Plan to replace the cushion every 1 to 3 months. A replacement cushion restores the seal once the silicone softens or the surface gets tacky.
Swap the SwingFit headgear every 6 months or so, sooner if the fabric stretches out and stops holding tension.
