FAQs

What is CPAP headgear?

CPAP headgear consists of adjustable straps that secure the CPAP mask to your face, ensuring a proper seal for effective therapy.

How often should I replace my CPAP headgear?

Every 6 months or sooner if it becomes loose, stretched, or worn out.

How do I clean CPAP headgear?

Wash weekly with mild soap and warm water, then air dry. Avoid harsh detergents and machine washing, as they can damage the material.

Why is my CPAP headgear too tight or too loose?

Headgear should be snug but not overly tight. Over time, straps may stretch and require adjustment or replacement.

Can I adjust CPAP headgear for a better fit?

Yes, most headgear has Velcro or clip adjustments to customize the fit.

Why does my CPAP headgear leave marks on my face?

If headgear is too tight, it can cause pressure marks. Consider loosening straps, using mask strap pads, or switching to a different headgear style.

How can I prevent CPAP headgear from slipping at night?

Ensure a proper fit, avoid using lotions before bed, and consider a headgear strap cover for added grip.

Is CPAP headgear interchangeable between masks?

No, headgear is mask-specific. Always use the correct headgear designed for your CPAP mask model.

How do I know when to replace my CPAP headgear?

Replace it if you notice stretched straps, loss of elasticity, reduced seal quality, or discomfort during use.

Can I buy CPAP headgear separately?

Yes, replacement headgear is available separately, but make sure to choose the right model for your mask.

Does this headgear fit the Evora Nasal mask?

No. This headgear fits the Fisher & Paykel Evora Full Face mask only. The Evora Nasal mask uses different headgear.

Which size do I need, Standard or Extra Large?

The Evora Full Face headgear comes in two sizes: Standard and Extra Large. Standard fits most users; choose Extra Large for a larger head. There is no small size.
