Important Tips

  • Never look directly at the UV-C lamp during operation. The 254nm germicidal light is harmful to eyes — keep the drawer closed throughout the entire 5-minute cycle and wait for the beep and green light before opening.
  • Always make sure items are completely dry before placing them in the chamber. Moisture on surfaces significantly reduces UV-C effectiveness, so towel-dry or air-dry items fully before each sanitization cycle.
  • Do not stack items on top of each other inside the chamber. UV-C light travels in straight lines and cannot sanitize areas blocked by shadows — lay items flat or use the rack so all surfaces receive direct light exposure.
  • Place the device on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area away from flammable materials. The unit should have clear space around it and should never be operated inside a closed cabinet or drawer.
  • Wipe down the interior chamber periodically with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust or residue. Never use liquid cleaners or sprays inside the chamber, and ensure the interior is fully dry before running a cycle.
  • The UV-C bulb is rated for approximately 9,000 hours of use, so replacement is rarely needed under normal home use. If the green confirmation light stops illuminating at cycle end, consult the manual to check whether the bulb may need replacement.
  • The auto shut-off safety feature activates immediately if the drawer is opened mid-cycle — this is intentional to prevent UV-C eye exposure. Simply close the drawer to resume or restart the cycle if needed.
