Amazing in almost every way. But there are two big problems.
Before the AirMini, traveling with CPAP was a nuisance, particularly when flying.
The AirSense Mini is almost miraculously small. And the humidity discs work well - not the same as an actual humidifier with water tank, but well enough. And I LOVE that I don't have to worry about getting distilled water when I get to my destination. Another little bonus - the power brick is much smaller and lighter than the power bricks for the full-sized machines, including the ResMed AirSense 10 which is my current machine.
One problem I have with the Mini is I'm not getting the same quality of therapy I get from my full-sized ResMed machine. I'm a very well-informed sleep apnea patient and I've spent hours studying every aspect of the machine and its settings. I know what I'm doing, and the therapy the Mini provides is inferior to the full-sized ResMed AirSense 10.
This isn't a deal-breaker: the therapy from the Mini is definitely tolerable. But I'm accustomed to fantastic therapy from the AirSense 10.
The near deal-breaker for me is the Mini's noise level. If you look at the specs, it's not much higher than the AirSense 10, which is a very quiet machine, the quietest of 4 full-sized CPAP machines I've owned over the past 15+ years.
But the specs are deceiving. With other machines, the noise is coming from the actual machine, which is about 2-3 feet from my ears. With the Air Mini, the noise is coming from the hose and the connection from the hose to the mask,…
