Adaptive Servo-Ventilation (ASV) Algorithm

The AirCurve 10 ASV uses an adaptive servo-ventilation algorithm that analyzes your breathing pattern on a breath-by-breath basis. It adjusts inspiratory and expiratory pressure support automatically to stabilize breathing irregularities associated with central sleep apnea (CSA), Cheyne-Stokes respiration, and mixed apneas. The algorithm learns and adapts in real-time to prevent under- or over-ventilation, providing personalized ventilation support during sleep.

ASVAuto Mode for Personalized Therapy Adjustments

ASVAuto mode combines pressure support with auto-adjusting expiratory pressure. The device continuously evaluates upper airway patency and adjusts the expiratory pressure within a set range to maintain an open airway. At the same time, it delivers varying inspiratory pressure support to stabilize ventilation and prevent central apneas. These adjustments occur automatically, without manual intervention.

Built-In HumidAir Heated Humidifier

The integrated HumidAir humidifier delivers heated humidification during therapy to prevent airway dryness and irritation. Humidity levels can be adjusted directly on the device interface, ranging from level 1 (low) to level 8 (high). The humidifier reduces dryness caused by positive airway pressure, enhancing comfort and adherence to therapy.

Minute Ventilation Targeting

The AirCurve 10 ASV targets your recent average minute ventilation to adjust the pressure needed for stable breathing. By using real-time data on your spontaneous breathing rate and effort, the device ensures that ventilation remains within a stable and appropriate range throughout the night, even if your natural breathing patterns fluctuate.

Climate Control with ClimateLineAir Heated Tubing

When used with ClimateLineAir heated tubing, Climate Control maintains constant temperature and humidity throughout the night. Sensors adjust for changes in ambient room temperature, mask leak, and flow to avoid rainout (condensation inside the tube). Climate Control ensures consistent humidity delivery without causing water buildup inside the mask or tube.

Quiet Motor and Integrated Ambient Light Sensor

The AirCurve 10 ASV features a low-noise motor that reduces sound levels during operation, limiting disturbance to bed partners. The ambient light sensor adjusts screen brightness according to the room's light level. If the room is dark, the screen dims automatically to avoid disrupting sleep.

SmartStart and AutoStop for Ease of Use

With SmartStart enabled, the device begins therapy automatically when you start breathing into the mask. AutoStop halts therapy a few seconds after the mask is removed or significant leak is detected. These features minimize manual steps and interruptions, making therapy setup and stopping seamless.

Ramp Time for Pressure Adjustment

Ramp Time allows you to start therapy at a lower pressure, increasing gradually over a set time (5 to 45 minutes) until reaching prescribed levels. This feature helps you fall asleep more comfortably by avoiding high starting pressures that may feel uncomfortable during initial relaxation.

Data Monitoring with Detailed Sleep Reports

The AirCurve 10 ASV stores comprehensive therapy data, including AHI (Apnea-Hypopnea Index), leak rate, usage hours, and mask fit. Advanced details such as tidal volume, minute ventilation, respiratory rate, and inspiratory/expiratory pressures are also recorded. Data is accessible via an SD card or through ResMed's wireless network for remote monitoring by healthcare providers.
