  • Wear the device on your non-dominant hand to minimize disruptions while sleeping.
  • Remove any rings, bracelets, or watches from the test hand to avoid sensor interference.
  • Make sure the finger probe is inserted fully, with the “TOP” label aligned over your fingernail.
  • Aim for at least 6 hours of recording, the minimum ZOLL Itamar requires. The more you actually sleep the more reliable the result, so 8 or more hours is even better.
  • Keep your phone within 5 meters of the device to maintain strong Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Plug your phone in overnight so it stays charged throughout the test.
  • Turn off nearby Bluetooth devices to avoid potential interference with the data transmission.
  • Sleep in your normal position and environment, this test is meant to capture how you sleep naturally at home.
  • Don’t worry about masks, wires, or lab settings, the device collects all necessary data from your wrist, chest, and finger.
  • After waking up, press “End Recording” and make sure the data fully uploads before removing the device.
  • The test automatically tracks snoring, oxygen levels, heart rate, and sleep stages without requiring any input from you.
  • The results are securely transmitted and analyzed, so your provider gets a full clinical report without delay.
  • Make sure the adhesive patch on your chest is fully secured for reliable sensor readings.
