Product Features

Three Cushions For Better Fit

The CPAP machine used by a child would be the same as an adult would use; however, the mask which sits on the child's face and delivers the pressurized air into the airway would be much smaller. The child sized cushions better fit the size and shape of a child's face instead of an adult. The mask includes three cushions: small child, medium child, and large child.

Giraffe Design

The giraffe print helps children feel more comfortable with their therapy and encourages a more inviting reaction. It is quite common to require some help in adjusting to the treatment. The familiar and friendly giraffe design provides a good opportunity to be playful and makes wearing a CPAP Mask less intimidating.

Tube Management Loop

The tube cover features a tube management loop used in conjunction with the crown strap to route the tube over the head. Routing the tube over the top of the head will help keep the mask stable if the child is an active sleeper or changes positions during therapy.

Leak Correction Dial

The cushion features a leak correction dial at the bottom of the cushion to help stop leakage. An adult can adjust the dial while the mask is on the child for ease of use.

Important Tips

Important Tips

Tips for helping children adjust to CPAP:

  • Try practicing with the device during the day instead of immediately using it to fall asleep.
  • Show your child photos of different people wearing masks, like astronauts, firefighters, or scuba divers, so he or she learns that masks are cool and not scary.
  • Let your child first be allowed to touch and hold the mask in his or her hand to learn it is not painful or scary before trying to put it up to his or her face.
  • Once the child can wear the mask and headgear, you can introduce the air pressure as the last step in the desensitization process.

My kid is amazed with his new nasal mask. Before he was embarrassed of using mask because of having sleep apnea, but now he LOVES IT! He waits until noon so he can use the mask. The animal print helped him a lot.
