A child-friendly approach to CPAP therapy.
Introduce your child to sleep therapy the fun way. The Wisp Pediatric Nasal CPAP Mask helps children better acclimate to treatment with a playful giraffe print and three cushions to fit the size and shape of a child's face.
The mask is intended for children who weigh 22 pounds or higher.
The giraffe print helps children feel more comfortable with their therapy and encourages a more inviting reaction. It is quite common to require some help in adjusting to the treatment. The familiar and friendly giraffe design provides a good opportunity to be playful and make wearing a CPAP Mask less intimidating.
Helping children adjust to CPAP
The CPAP machine used by a child would be the same as an adult would use; however, the mask which sits on the child's face and delivers the pressurized air into the airway would be much smaller.
The child-sized cushions better fit the size and shape of a child's face instead of an adult. The mask includes three cushions: small child, medium child, and large child.
The cushion features a leak correction dial at the bottom of the cushion to help stop leakage. An adult can adjust the dial while the mask is on the child for ease of use.
The tube cover features a tube management loop used in conjunction with the crown strap to route the tube over the head. Routing the tube over the top of the head will help keep the mask stable if the child is an active sleeper or changes positions during therapy.
