The ResMed AirMini is a portable Auto-CPAP machine for sleep apnea therapy, built for travel and everyday convenience. Pack up and go. Let it never be said that sleep apnea got rid of your adventurous side. Whether it’s a spontaneous getaway or a planned trip, you'll be ready to go. FAA approved for in-flight use, it is suitable for both everyday and international travel.

Don't be fooled by its size; the AirMini is the smallest portable CPAP in the market, but it still offers top quality therapy. Enjoy the comfort of waterless humidification (no more carrying distilled water everywhere), and convenient control with the AirMini app available on iOS and Android.

Important: The ResMed AirMini does not include tubing and requires a setup pack to be purchased to connect to one of the compatible CPAP masks.

Everything you need to know about the AirMini

Compact Size for Travel Use

The AirMini, weighing only 0.66 pounds and measuring about 5.4 inches long, 3.3 inches wide, and 2.1 inches high, is one of the smallest CPAP machines available. This compact size fits easily into carry-on bags, backpacks, or bedside drawers, which is ideal for travel or small spaces. Despite its portability, it delivers full-featured therapy with the same algorithm as larger ResMed devices.

AutoSet and AutoRamp Modes

The device includes ResMed’s AutoSet feature, which automatically adjusts pressure throughout the night in response to changes in breathing. It also has AutoRamp, which starts therapy at a lower pressure and gradually increases it once sleep onset is detected. Both features aim to make therapy more comfortable and easier to tolerate, especially at the beginning of the night.

Bluetooth Connection with the AirMini App

Bluetooth connectivity allows the AirMini to pair with the AirMini app, providing access to comfort settings and sleep data. Through the app, you can track therapy usage, mask fit, and pressure levels. You can also modify ramp time, enable SmartStart, and review your past 30 days of sleep data, making it easier to monitor and manage your therapy.

HumidX Waterless Humidification System

The AirMini uses HumidX cartridges between the mask and tubing to provide moisture without a water chamber. These cartridges capture moisture from exhaled breath and release it during inhalation. Compatible only with P10 and N30 for AirMini, N20, and F20. Not compatible with the F30 mask.

Compatibility with Selected Masks

The AirMini only works with a specific set of masks using unique connectors and tubing: AirFit P10 for AirMini, N30 for AirMini, N20, AirTouch N20, F20, AirTouch F20, and F30. Standard masks or others like P30i, N30i, and F40 are not supported.

AirMini Tubing and Mask Connector Requirements

The device uses 6’2” slim tubing (15 mm inner diameter) and does not support standard or heated hoses. Each supported mask requires a dedicated connector compatible with this tubing and HumidX, where applicable. Correct setup packs are required for proper use.

No Built-in Battery, but In-Flight Approved

The AirMini operates on AC power only. It must be connected to a compatible 24 V DC external battery for portable use. It is FAA-approved for in-flight use, but airline approval for power outlet access should be confirmed before travel.

Hands-Free Operation with SmartStart

SmartStart begins therapy automatically when it detects breathing through the mask and stops when the mask is removed. It eliminates the need to press buttons, which is helpful in dark or nighttime environments.

Designed for Travel Environments

AirMini is designed for travel with AutoSet, ramp, EPR, SmartStart, and the same pressure algorithms as larger ResMed models. Compact, lightweight, app-connected, and waterless humidification make it ideal for travelers or occasional backup use.

ActiveAir Venting Enhances Therapy Efficiency

ActiveAir venting allows the AirMini to deliver responsive pressure with AutoSet and CPAP modes, even in its compact 5.4 × 3.3 × 2.1–inch frame. It balances size and performance with stable pressure delivery.

Low Power Draw for Power-Limited Scenarios

The AirMini consumes only 6.3 watts on average, peaking at 27 watts. Its AC adapter supports global voltages (100–240V, 50–60Hz) and even aircraft-compatible 115V at 400Hz. In standby, it draws just 1 watt—great for power-conscious travel.

Ultra-Quiet Despite Tubing Design

With a noise level near 30 dBA, the AirMini is comparable to a soft whisper. Its internal motor and mechanics are optimized for quiet operation, although the slim tubing may produce a slightly higher tone in some mask setups.

Exhalation Relief Adds Comfort

The AirMini includes three levels of Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) that reduce pressure during exhalation for more comfortable breathing. This feature supports easier exhalation without adding extra parts or accessories.

Built-In Altitude Compensation for Reliable High-Altitude Therapy

Automatic altitude adjustment ensures pressure accuracy during air travel or high-altitude stays. The AirMini continuously adapts to changes in ambient pressure, maintaining effective therapy without manual recalibration.

Find Solution

How much does the AirMini cost?

The ResMed AirMini is priced at $919. However, Sleeplay runs promotions year-round, so you’ll often find it at a better value. Customers who sign up also receive extra perks and exclusive offers, and shopping through the Sleeplay app unlocks even more savings. Plus, Sleeplay provides a price-match guarantee and offers flexible payment plans, making it easier to get the AirMini at the best possible price.

Are payment plans available for the AirMini?

Yes—Sleeplay does offer flexible payment options for the AirMini, making it easier to manage your purchase. Sleeplay partners with financing services like Afterpay to help split your purchase into interest-free installments. You can get your AirMini now and pay later, typically divided into four equal payments.

Sleeplay also accepts FSA/HSA cards, which can help reduce your out-of-pocket costs when using pre-tax funds for eligible medical equipment.

Is AirMini covered by insurance? Can FSA or HSA funds be used?

The ResMed AirMini is considered a travel CPAP machine, which means that most insurance providers don’t cover it since they typically only reimburse for a primary device. That said, you can still save by using FSA or HSA funds, which are accepted at Sleeplay. This lets you pay with pre-tax dollars, reducing your out-of-pocket cost while enjoying all the convenience of the AirMini.

Does AirMini have a battery?

The AirMini does not include an internal battery and must be connected to a power source to operate. For travel or backup use, we recommend pairing it with a compatible external battery. Options available include the CPAP Travel Battery Zopec Explore Mini, designed for compact portability, and the Medistrom Pilot-24 CPAP Battery Backup, which offers extended runtime and doubles as an emergency power source. Both solutions are FAA-compliant and can keep your therapy running during flights, camping, or power outages.

Does AirMini have a humidifier?

The AirMini does not use a traditional water-based humidifier. Instead, it offers waterless humidification through small disposable cartridges called HumidX™, HumidX Plus, and HumidX F20.

These cartridges work by using a heat and moisture exchange (HME) system. As you exhale, the cartridge captures heat and moisture from your breath and stores it inside the filter material. On the next inhalation, this stored humidity is released back into the airflow, helping prevent dryness without needing distilled water or a water tank.

Compatibility depends on the mask: HumidX and HumidX Plus are designed for the AirFit N20, AirTouch N20, and AirFit P10 for AirMini, while HumidX F20 is required for the AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 full-face masks. Humidification is not available when using the AirFit F30 with the AirMini.

Which CPAP masks are compatible with AirMini?

The AirMini is compatible only with a select group of ResMed masks designed to work with its unique tubing and connectors. To ensure proper connection, some masks must be used with the appropriate AirMini Setup Pack:

  • AirFit P10 for AirMini – the regular P10 is not compatible; only the version included in the AirMini Setup Pack works with the device.
  • AirFit N30 for AirMini – the standard N30 is not compatible; you must use the AirMini-specific version in its Setup Pack.
  • AirFit N20 – compatible when used with the AirMini Setup Pack for N20.
  • AirTouch N20 – requires the AirMini Setup Pack for N20 to connect properly.
  • AirFit F20 – works with the AirMini when paired with the F20 Setup Pack.
  • AirTouch F20 – also requires the F20 Setup Pack and supports HumidX F20 cartridges.
  • AirFit F30 – compatible through the F30 Setup Pack, but note that HumidX humidification is not supported.

Masks outside this list cannot be used because the AirMini relies on ResMed’s ActiveAir venting system and HumidX cartridges, which require special connectors not available on standard masks. At Sleeplay, we carry all compatible masks along with their setup packs so you can choose the right configuration with full compatibility guaranteed.

Can the ResMed AirMini be used as a full-time machine or only for travel?

The ResMed AirMini was originally designed as a travel CPAP due to its compact size and lightweight build, but it uses the exact same therapy algorithms found in full-size ResMed machines such as the AirSense 10 and AirSense 11. This means the quality of therapy is identical, and many patients successfully use the AirMini as their primary CPAP at home. The main differences compared to a full-size device are the absence of a traditional water-based humidifier, limited mask compatibility that requires specific AirMini setup packs, and the fact that it does not store data on an SD card for programs like OSCAR. Instead, therapy information is managed through the AirMini mobile app. For customers who want one machine for both home and travel, the AirMini can serve as a daily CPAP, but some prefer to keep it as a secondary device for trips while relying on a larger AirSense machine at home.

What therapy modes does the AirMini support?

The ResMed AirMini offers three therapy modes: CPAP (fixed pressure), AutoSet (auto-adjusting pressure), and AutoSet for Her. In CPAP mode, the machine delivers one constant pressure throughout the night, as prescribed by your doctor. In AutoSet mode, the device continuously monitors your breathing and automatically adjusts pressure on a breath-by-breath basis to keep your airway open, increasing comfort and minimizing pressure when it is not needed. The AutoSet for Her mode uses a specialized algorithm tailored to treat female patients, who often experience shorter and more frequent obstructive events. This mode provides gentler pressure increases and a more sensitive response to flow limitations. All three modes use the same clinical algorithms found in full-size ResMed AirSense devices, which means therapy effectiveness is identical, despite the AirMini’s compact travel design.

Can I access my sleep data from the AirMini via SD card or OSCAR?

The AirMini does not have an SD card slot and cannot connect directly with OSCAR. Instead, it pairs via Bluetooth with the AirMini app (iOS and Android), where you can view detailed sleep data, track progress, and adjust comfort settings.

Does the AirMini work with the ResMed myAir app?

No. The AirMini does not connect with the myAir app, which is designed for full-size ResMed devices like the AirSense 10 and AirSense 11. Instead, the AirMini uses its own AirMini app for therapy tracking and settings adjustments. If you need to review therapy results or share compliance data with your provider, all information must be accessed directly through the AirMini app rather than myAir.

Does the AirMini have an app or wireless connectivity?

Yes. The AirMini includes built-in Bluetooth connectivity that allows it to pair with the AirMini app on your smartphone or tablet. Once connected, you can view your nightly sleep data, track therapy progress, and adjust comfort settings such as ramp time, SmartStart, and EPR. The connection is wireless and does not require additional modules or accessories, making it easy to manage your therapy directly from your phone.

Are there power or car adapter options for traveling?

Yes. The AirMini comes with a universal AC power supply that works worldwide (100–240 V, 50–60 Hz). We also offer a DC/DC converter for use with a car, truck, or RV power socket, as well as external battery options for extended trips without electricity.

Is the AirMini Travel CPAP as effective as a full-size CPAP?

Yes. The AirMini delivers the same therapy algorithms as full-size ResMed machines, so treatment effectiveness is the same. The main differences are in compatibility: it only works with specific masks designed for the AirMini and uses HumidX cartridges instead of a standard water-based humidifier. Accessories like SD cards are not supported, as therapy data is managed through the AirMini app.
