Product Features

Compatible with Series 10 Machines

The ResMed HumidAir™ Humidifier Replacement Water Chamber is specifically designed for use with ResMed AirSense 10, AirCurve 10, and AirStart 10 machines. The replacement water chamber ensures that your device continues to deliver optimal humidification and the comfort you expect.

Designed to Last

The water chamber has a durable design with a metal base plate for long-lasting performance. The circular metal base plate enhances the stability and durability of the humidification system. Consider a protector mat to protect your nightstand from spills.

Essential for Device Operation

A water chamber or a replacement side cover must always be installed in the AirSense, AirStart, or AirCurve device for it to work properly. The device can operate with an empty water chamber when set to Airplane Mode, but the chamber must still be in place.

Water Chamber Installation

The ResMed Standard Water Chamber is crucial for optimal comfort during CPAP therapy for your AirSense, AirStart, or AirCurve device.

  • Always install a water chamber or a replacement side cover for proper function of the CPAP machine.
  • If humidification is not desired, the device can be operated in Airplane Mode with an empty water chamber.

Cleaning and Care Your Water Chamber

The ResMed Standard Water Chamber is designed for straightforward maintenance.

  • Weekly Cleaning: Wash with warm water and mild detergent to remove dust or debris.
  • Drying: After washing, allow the chamber to air dry completely away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent mold or bacteria growth.
  • Replacement: Replace the water chamber every 3-6 months for optimal hygiene and performance.

Water Chamber Wide Compatibility

The ResMed Standard Water Chamber is compatible with a range of ResMed devices, enhancing your therapy experience. Compatible models include: AirSense 10, AirSense 10 Elite, AirSense 10 AutoSet, AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her, AirStart 10, AirCurve 10 S, AirCurve 10 ST, AirCurve 10 VAuto, and AirCurve 10 ASV.

ClimateLineAir Compatibility

When used with ClimateLineAir heated tubing (sold separately), the Standard Water Chamber integrates with the HumidAir humidifier to provide temperature-controlled, humidified air. This system, known as Climate Control, helps reduce rainout by maintaining the air temperature and humidity, thereby minimizing condensation in the tubing. This ensures less dryness and congestion while enhancing overall sleep comfort with warm, humidified air.

Important Tips

  • Daily Cleaning: To prevent bacteria and mineral buildup, rinse the water chamber daily with warm water. Avoid using any harsh cleaning agents or detergents that might damage the chamber. Visit our cleaning solutions for CPAP products.
  • Distilled Water Usage: Always fill the water chamber with distilled water instead of tap water. Distilled water reduces the risk of mineral deposits forming inside the chamber, ensuring the longevity of the chamber and the quality of your therapy.
  • Regular Inspection: Check the water chamber regularly for signs of wear or damage, such as cracks, warping, or discoloration. Any of these signs can indicate it's time for a replacement to maintain the effectiveness of your humidification.
  • Proper Filling: Do not overfill the water chamber. Fill it only up to the maximum fill line to avoid water entering the CPAP machine, which can cause damage.
  • Allow to Air Dry: After cleaning, leave the water chamber to air dry on a clean towel away from direct sunlight. Ensure it's completely dry before you use it again to prevent mold and bacteria growth.
  • Gentle Handling: When inserting or removing the water chamber from the CPAP machine, handle it gently to avoid damage. Make sure it's correctly seated to avoid leaks.
  • Replacement Schedule: Replace the water chamber periodically as recommended by the manufacturer or sooner if you notice any significant wear or damage. This ensures that your CPAP therapy remains effective and hygienic.
  • Storage: If you're not using the CPAP machine for an extended period, empty the water chamber and store it dry to prevent mold and bacteria from developing.

FAQs

I'm not sure if I have sleep apnea

Not sure if you have sleep apnea?

Take this simple test to know your risk level.

Find Out Now!

Why do CPAP machines have humidifiers?

CPAP humidifiers add moisture to prevent dry mouth, throat irritation, and nasal congestion caused by pressurized air.

Are all CPAP humidifiers the same?

No, there are two types: - Integrated humidifiers (built into the CPAP machine) - Standalone humidifiers (separate units that connect to the CPAP)

Do I have to use a CPAP humidifier?

No, but it helps reduce dryness and discomfort. If you experience dryness, adding a humidifier can improve comfort.

What type of water should I use in my CPAP humidifier?

Use distilled water to prevent mineral buildup and bacteria growth. Avoid tap or bottled water.

How often should I clean my CPAP humidifier?

Daily: Empty and rinse with warm water. Weekly: Wash with mild soap, rinse well, and let it air dry.

Why is there water in my CPAP mask or hose?

This is rainout, caused by humidified air cooling in the hose. Using heated tubing or a hose cover can help.

Can I travel with a CPAP humidifier?

Yes, but some travelers prefer to turn off the humidifier to reduce bulk. If flying, empty the water chamber before packing.

When should I replace my CPAP humidifier chamber?

Every 6 months, or sooner if you notice discoloration, cracking, or buildup that doesn’t clean off.
