Guide and Resources

Important Tips

  • Adjust the headgear using magnetic clips for a quick and secure fit.
  • Avoid using this mask if you have a pacemaker or defibrillator, as magnets may interfere.
  • Make sure the mask cushion sits comfortably around your nose for a proper seal without gaps.
  • Do not overtighten the straps—adjust them until the mask feels snug but comfortable.
  • If you feel air leaks, adjust upper and lower straps evenly instead of pulling just one side.
  • Choose the right cushion size (Small, Medium, or Large) for your facial shape to avoid leaks.
  • Clean the cushion daily using warm water and mild soap to remove oils and buildup.
  • Use CPAP mask wipes for quick daily cleanups, especially when you're in a rush or traveling.
  • Wash the headgear weekly with mild soap and water to maintain elasticity and prevent skin irritation.
  • Let all mask parts air dry away from direct sunlight to avoid material damage.
  • Regularly check the cushion for wear, cracks, or softness that could impact the seal—replace if needed.
  • Replace the cushion every month to ensure a secure and effective seal.
  • Replace the headgear every 6 months to maintain proper fit and elasticity.
  • Consider CPAP strap covers to reduce strap marks and improve comfort during sleep.
  • Apply a non-greasy CPAP moisturizer before bed to prevent skin irritation and dryness where the mask touches the face.
  • Use a CPAP tube and mask brush set to clean inside your tubing and mask frame, preventing buildup and ensuring airflow.
  • Add a UVC LED CPAP cleaning machine for deeper weekly sanitizing of the mask, headgear, and tubing.
  • Use the myAir app to track leak rates and sleep data, and adjust mask fit based on personalized feedback.
  • Store your mask clean and dry when not in use to avoid dust buildup and prolong its life.
  • If reading or watching TV before bed, enjoy the open design of the N20 that works well with glasses.
  • For smaller faces, consider the AirFit N20 for Her version for a better fit.
  • If discomfort continues, use a mirror to adjust the mask or ask for a mask fitting session to ensure the right size and adjustment.

Everything you need to know about the AirFit N20

InfinitySeal™ Cushion

Offers an ergonomic and reliable seal that adapts to a variety of facial and nasal structures.

Flexible Frame with Integrated Padding

The soft frame is gentle on the skin, allows for freedom of movement during sleep, and provides an open line of sight.

Quick-Release Elbow and Magnetic Clips

Easily remove the mask with the help of the quick release elbows and lock the headgear back in place in two simple snaps using the magnetic clips that attach to the headgear. Because the mask contains magnets, keep them at least 6 inches (150 mm) from implanted devices, and do not use it if you or someone in close contact has a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other implant affected by magnets without consulting your doctor.
ResMed AirFit N20 Nasal CPAP Mask

Designed to Fit a Wide Range of Faces

In a ResMed fitting study, 99.4% of users achieved a successful fit with the InfinitySeal cushion, which adapts to a wide range of facial and nasal shapes.

Flexi-Tube with Dual Swivel

The short tube rotates 360° at both the cushion and hose connection, drastically reducing tube drag during the night.

Open Field of Vision

The low profile design without headgear support provides an unobstructed line of sight to read, wear glasses, or watch TV without disruptions.

Easy Maintenance

The simple design makes it intuitive and easy to reassemble after cleaning.

More Comfort, Less Mask Leaks

The dependable seal strikes the perfect balance between a snug fit and comfort, effectively preventing bothersome leaks.

FAQs

What kind of mask is the AirFit N20?

It is a nasal mask: the cushion sits over your nose, not inside the nostrils like pillows and not over the mouth. It uses ResMed's InfinitySeal cushion, which adapts to a wide range of facial shapes.

Does it contain magnets, and who should not use it?

Yes. The AirFit N20 has magnetic headgear clips. ResMed advises keeping the magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) from implanted devices. Do not use it if you, or anyone in close contact while you wear it, has a pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, CSF shunt, certain metallic implants, or other devices affected by magnets, without first consulting your doctor.

What cushion sizes does it come in?

The cushion comes in Small, Medium, and Large (the size is printed on the cushion base). The AirFit N20 For Her offers smaller sizes and a smaller headgear.

Will it work for mouth breathers?

On its own, no. It is a nasal mask that seals over the nose, so if you breathe through your mouth at night you would need a chin strap or a full face mask instead.

What pressure range does it support?

It supports therapy pressures from 4 to 30 cm H2O, so it works across a wide range of CPAP, APAP, and BiPAP settings.

What comes in the box?

The complete system includes the frame, one cushion, the headgear, and the elbow with the short tube. A prescription is required to purchase it.
