The myAIRVO 2 from Fisher & Paykel produces high flows of warmed, humidified air (up to 60 LPM). MyAIRVO 2 combines respiratory support and airway hydration in a device powerful enough for clinical treatment but user-friendly enough for use at home, with a focus on comfort and convenience of use.
The Integrated Flow Generator of the MyAIRVO 2 distributes warmed, humidified air at rates ranging from 2 to 60 LPM, depending on the user's needs. The current flow target as well as the status of air supply are displayed on a simple push button interface with a color display.
Condensation in tubing and cannulas causes cold drips and gurgling, which has traditionally been a major complaint among high-flow air and oxygen users. With the AirSpiral Tube, MyAIRVO 2 takes on these issues front on. AirSpiral tubes have two spiral elements: a heating spiral that warms the air as it flows through the tube and an insulating spiral that protects the warmed air from outside temperature changes. The AirSpiral decreases condensation by 93 percent when used in conjunction with MyAIRVO, ensuring warm, humidified air without any irritating droplets or distracting sounds.
The OptiFlow+ Nasal Cannula has a concave base and soft contoured prongs that provide added comfort to the septum and nares. An integrated headstrap clip enhances tube management, making eating, drinking, and talking easier. Soft cheek pads with a greater surface area promote stability and reduce pressure on the face. Small, Medium, and Large sizes are provided to accommodate a wide range of users.
For consumers who demand it, MyAIRVO 2 is compatible with supplemental continuous flow oxygen up to 15 LPM. Connect your oxygen concentrator (or cylinder) to the supplementary oxygen connection on MyAIRVO 2, and an in-built ultrasonic analyzer integrates the flow without the need for calibration or extra setup. MyAIRVO 2 was created with the user in mind from the beginning. Current settings, compliance, and performance are displayed on a vivid display screen on the front of the unit, with audible alert noises. To ensure a restful night's sleep, alert sounds are reduced in volume and the display dims. (Alarms from safety systems are unaffected.) The AirSpiral tubing of the MyAIRVO 2 comes with a simple molded clip for connecting the tube to clothing or bedding, an inbuilt temperature sensor to remove awkward probes, cords, and adapters, and molded grips on both ends to make connection and separation easier.
